Red Roof Inn PLUS+ University at Buffalo - Amherst

One of the nastiest Red Roofs I’ve ever stayed at. Room was filthy, walls were half demolished, door handles don’t work, no bath mat, instead a small towel. Worse is that this is a Plus version of a normal Red Roof. PLEASE stay across the street at Motel 6 If you are not a hard drug user, homeless, or sex worker. The worst! ***NO REFUNDS!***

This was the perfect place for me to stay while I was traveling to get my daughter from college. My room was comfortable and I like that it is a motel so I didn't have to worry about passing others in the hall and I could open the door for fresh air. I also liked that there was not carpet so I could see that the floors were clean. I wiped the room with a Clorox wipe and I was happy to see that the wipe was not dirty afterwards.

Friendly staff. Plentiful hot water for a bath. Microwave and fridge worked. Adequate supply of towels for a one night stay. Bed was comfortable. Room had odor that reminded me of dirty litter box. Not a quiet place, either. Good location for my needs.

Dirty outdated smelled of marijuana. Rooms are outdated, bathroom small.

This is a good hotel, it is in need of a few noticeable repairs, but the bud was nice and it's a clean place

Nice clean room. Upgraded from a king-size bed to two queen-size beds was nice. I wish there were a couple of water bottles in the room will be awesome 👏. Overall I like this place and I am a returned customer.

I’m a pretty loyal customer of red roof. when I travel alone I like to stay at places I know that are affordable and clean. This place was having issues with its cleaning staff. The first room wasn’t even done up yet. The second room I got had a dirty towel in the bathroom and a dirty washcloth on the shower floor. The location is perfect if you are visiting the university. Unfortunately this experience left me not wanting to go back to red roof for a while.

Our room had fruit flies. The linens smelled funky and the wood floor (which looked newer) had a stickiness that left bare feet dirty. The bathroom had a very mildewy odor and the fixtures, finishes were rusty.

I am a repeat customer of this Red Roof Inn PLUS+, and that makes my review challenging to post. I arrived at the hotel on 08/22/2020. To my surprise, the property seemed messy, and to be blunt downright dirty. The first assigned room was a smoking room, despite me telling the clerk that I was allergic to cigarette smoke. The room I was reassigned to was just as disappointing. There was a shower cloth that was clearly left by a prior patron was hanging from the shower curtain rod and was filthy and stiffly dry. The towels in the room were also used despite being folded as clean. The door to the bathroom was unable to close as it had been pieced together from cardboard and flimsy painted chipboard. The box springs cloth underside was ripped and removed, and there was trash under the bed. When I checked in, I was informed there would be no room service until I checked out five days later! The floor stained my white socks with dark dirt. On my first night, there was a shooting a few doors down, I awoke to 10 police cars and was told to back out slowly to make sure there were no casings under my vehicle. If I were not a licensed Concealed Carry permit holder, I would've left then. My last night there, the people in the adjacent room were fighting and throwing things against the wall; no sleep for me. The clientele seemed to be using the property as a distribution point for illicit drugs because there were numerous cars with people inside them, making runs to either other vehicles
