Glover Park Hotel Georgetown

Booked a King room, but was given double beds. Room was messy and had a strange smell. Also, had to ask for towels as they were not in the room. Was told that a full refund was in the works, but the best that happened was the waived resort fee ("guest amenity fee"), which everyone knows is a garbage charge in the first place, especially when it's necessary to ask for towels. After following up with the staff they tried to blame Hotels.com. Sorry, but the excuse of not keeping a reservation for a specific room type because it's not guaranteed is insulting. Make the reservation or don't. Being stubborn and inflexible lost this hotel another 22 nights. Oops!

I stay this place for 3 nights and 4 days, and it worked great for me, because I lived in luxury’s room. Amenities is not pleasant part of it, but I was aware it before purchasing. Hotel is pretty small, but is situated in quiet place and surrounding cafes and restaurants. Room has not equipped by coffeemaker, but it was available by request without payment. Room is large and clean. In general, I enjoyed to live there.

Location was perfect for us, free shuttle to metro station is big plus, everybody in this place are so nice and helpful, will stay again for sure

this is probably one of the worst kimptons I’ve ever stayed at. The hotel service was terrible. The rooms were horrible. I would not recommend for anyone used to the Kimpton brand. This is a huge disappointment.

Staff exceptionally helpful. Water pressure in shower very low.

The rooms are large And clean. The beds are comfortable, and the shower is a nice size.

Close to great restaurants and the National Cathedral

We reserved a room with 2 queens but at check in they only had king - I had to sleep on a cot

The service was so-so. Had to track down valet to park, staff was sloppy storing bags, follow-up customer service was poor. TV didn’t work. There was also an “amenity charge” but amenities weren’t readily apparent, Not great.

The check-in was fine. First impressions with the room were very good - loved the clean modern look and lots of space. One of the nicest looking hotel rooms I have ever seen. But: (1) no coffee-machine in room (yes, there was a station on L1 for the morning but that didn't suit me and my very early starts and working later in the day in my room) (2) the TV would time out after a few hours use and the on-screen cancel button did not work so off it would go (3) the room servicing was quite haphazard each day with things missing and other things to be taken out left behind (4) The restaurant was mostly very good with great quality food. But on the weekend it doesn't open until 8am which is too late when I have to head off to work. (5) There was a very large group there on Sunday morning who blocked the entrance to the restaurant and then dominated the too few serving staff and the kitchen even though I needed to be in and out quickly which I told the server. Was not happy about this at all.
