Hotel MDR Marina del Rey - a DoubleTree by Hilton

the staff was very nice. the rooms had a few issues. the first item was there wasnt a welcome letter with instructions or hotel how to. the next problem was the ac wasnt easy to adjust. the clock was not working properly and the television was difficult.the room telephone was completely dead. the posijtive was clean and comfortable. the pool view was nice.

The hotel room smelled like smoke and mildew. My TV remote didn’t work. When I called to ask to borrow a cell phone charger they said I could come down and buy one from the store. The cell phone charger is not a big deal, just would’ve been a nice service especially in light of the other inconveniences. I also got a handicap accessible bathroom which normally when you check in they ask and confirm if that’s ok. I was not asked so didn’t know until I got to the room.

Beautiful location. The stay could have been better. Was charged twice for the room. Was put in a room with no heat. Had someone fix the heat during covid instead of moving me to another room. First impressions are lasting. Would only stay here if the rooms are free.

Staff was very friendly! but overall the property is dated, rundown and needs deep cleaning - not as nice as pictures- Had a smell of cigarettes in hallways and in rooms. our room had no bathroom fan and had a strong smell of the dank mildewed shower curtain

Everything needs updating, not very clean. The fridge was not clean and fresh. The towels and sheets were clean, but the carpet did not smell fresh.

Perfect location to access other cities in LA. We were 30 mins. The room could have been cleaner; however, it wasn’t terrible. Staff was extremely helpful and courteous!

People at the hotel are very friendly and service oriented. The facilities are in decay and not clean. We did not see any effort in cleaning high traffic areas or high contact during our stay. The room and the hotel public areas are dated and dirty with a foul smell on the hallways. Very disappointed for a Hilton property.

I could not believe this was a Hilton property. While the internet photos and on site lobby restaurant appeared contemporary and nice, the reality of the place was terrible. I changed room 2 times. There was an awful dog smell in one. The hallways are dingy and dated. The ice machine on my floor didn't work. Guests and hotel staff shared the same elevator because one was out of service. There was a constant hissing sound coming from my bathroom that warranted a maintenance call. The handle to shower faucet was rusted and about to fall off.

The Hotel is conveniently located. Walking distance to many restaurants and coffee shops. The pool area is nice as well. I stayed there for business and I enjoyed it.

Only some rooms had stickers saying the room has been cleaned the room we get did not and when we walked in it smelled like b.o. We had to personally clean our room and santize everything. The curtains were dirty and there lamps were like they never dusted or cleaned before. Also the drawers had loose tobacco in them. The only good thing I can say is the price and the cookies the front desk gives to you with there great customer service.
