DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Jacksonville Riverfront

The location was great and the staff was friendly. The room surface cleaned. But the furniture was stained. The thermostat wanted to fall off the wall anytime we touched it and the display was barely readable. The wall around the shower was cracked. But all was still usable. The biggest issue was the smell. We paid for a riverfront room so our girls could watch the NYE fireworks from our balcony. It was a beautiful view but the smell of weed was strong it was making us nauseous. We had to take the girls down to the pool deck where are the party/ drinking type people were for them to watch fireworks. When we called the front desk to complain they apologized. But when checking out they excused it saying it was their biggest type of customers right now and that's just how it is right now.

We left expensive contacts in the room and phoned the hotel. The hotel phoned house keeping and found them and had them waiting for us at the front desk. To the hotel owners- there was not enough staff working at the front desk- there were lines of people at times four or five groups deep, or more.

Double Tree by Hilton in Jacksonville needs some detailed attention. Our first room had palmetto bugs. Front desk moved us to another room. Second room had a broken safe, coffee maker didn’t work. Service was great and the staff was accommodating. I have stayed at other Diuble Tree hotels and this by far felt old and worn out. I’m sure the pandemic doesn’t help much but I feel the owners need to do an overhaul and quality check on all their rooms. Won’t stay here again. We were only offered to move rooms with no compensation of any kind...

The service was great, the hotel - eh, not so much. The shower would squeal when using and occasionally the water pressure would dwindle down so much, that there was only a trickle of water coming out. Throughout the stay all we heard while in our room was loud noises coming from either the mechanical room (that was maybe located next to us) or perhaps from the roof as we were located on the 10th floor. Whatever it was, it was heard throughout the night. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Very disappointed that during my stay not one day did they have cookies. One of the things i reallly enjoy about the Double Tree are the complimentary cookies from the front desk. What a shame.

The people here were very accommodating. I did enjoy the breakfast. Great cook. The room however was so disappointing. So dusty and stains on the furniture. Was afraid to sleep in the bed. They did give me another room. Was ok but not much better. I expected more from a Hilton. I payed extra for a view and it was nice. Over all I'll think twice before I stay at a Hilton again

Bathroom was broken

The room was very disappointing for a hilton. Not very cleqn veryboutdated amd in disrepair. It was very hard to be comfortable at all.

The room was very noisy, heard every word from the room next to us even during there late night sex adventure. Walls was dirty, took about five minutes to get hot water. Bathroom door handle was falling off door. Parking garage was very nasy and water leaking from pipes. Hotel needs to be updated bad.
