Bahia Mar Ft. Lauderdale Beach- a DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel

This was my second time staying here... the first time was amazing! Ocean view + harbor view!...But the second stay was not so good... I was facing a parking lot instead of ocean & harbor..Hotels.com showed me the wrong pics during my booking.. and I used my 11th “free”‘stay here... At check in they tried their hardest to accommodate me! The customer service was great during check-in...but I was disappointed at hotel.com for having the wrong pics.this hotel has two different buildings! Please make sure you choose the right building!!!!!!!

Great location. Good staff. Close to beach. Good amenities. Great pool bar.

the property was poorly maintained, the staff was indifferent at best. the entire stay was a disappointment and i feel like we wasted our money.

Room nothing like shown on hotels.com. Old bathroom, needed repairs. Patio doors need repairs , wind whipped the cracks constantly. Pillows very uncomfortable. Drink passes included in stupid expensive resort fee were for select bottom of the barrel drinks, no housekeeping unless you beg multiple times, front desk staff very nice though. Chairs on the beach convienient but always ran out of clean towels. Elevators had issues quite frequently. Parking stupid expensive .

This hotel wasn’t as advertised and me and my family was very dissatisfied with our stay. The purpose of our stay was to celebrate my wife’s birthday and for her to have a relaxing time with her girl friends, this ended up not being the case. I requested for a early check in to have a chance to decorate our room, and I was told that could be a possibility but nothing was definite of course, as normal check in is at 4pm me and my family couldn’t check into our room until 10:30 pm...from there it put a bad taste in mouths and all other accommodations seem to be mediocre. I wouldn’t recommend anyone stay here especially for the price, I wouldn’t go back

I was only there for the night. But it was a great location, nice people, clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay there again.

Upon arrival everything was fine including check in! Even though the lady could not figure out the pricing so she ended making two separate transactions on my debit card. The first night the people in the room next to me had a loud party with music so loud that my walls were shaking and they did not stop until I called the front desk to report it. At check out I was (even though I had already been charged at check in) I was charged again an additional $415 for my one night stay. The lady at the desk seemed to not know what she was doing. Once we settled with the correct charges, it took Almst a wk to clear my bank so not only were my two separate initial charges pending but also the $415 that I was additionally charged was also pending for Almst a wk!

Due to COVID there were a lot of restrictions. There was no restaurant on the property except for the pool area during the day. We drove around Ft Lauderdale and found business as usual so was disappointed to see the hotel without any availability of food. They also charge $37.00 per person for amenities such as beach chairs. This should be a charge if you use the beach chairs, not automatically charged. It was an extra $74.00 which almost doubled the amount of what we expected to spend.

The hotel staff were very friendly. The hotel was very clean and I would definitely stay there again.

Having stayed at this hotel many times I find it to be a good value for the money. Although there are some maintenance and service issues there are also nice amenities for the price point.
