Radisson Hotel Santo Domingo

We recently sold our house here in DR and required me to book a hotel since there would not be internet service at our new place for about a week, so I booked something in our neighborhood and area I knew well with shops, restaurants, mall, etc. all within walking distance. I'm glad I chose Radisson Naco Santo Domingo. The entire staff from front desk, concierge, room service, dining room for breakfast and restaurant for lunch/dinner all excellent. Whatever request I had they followed through and unlike others, followed up to ensure everything was done properly. EXCELLENT HOTEL AND PEOPLE....I HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

I think that my stay was quite good and it would be perfect if there wasn’t a fire in one of my nights. That was so scary but otherwise, everything else was excellent and great..

Radisson Santo Domingo was clean and the Tropical Cafe was excellent-especially the omelettes. Room service food was mediocre and they would call and ask for tray back in the hall in less than an hour. Very few outlets in room and we tripped the breaker if we used more than one outlet at a time. The hotel staff were helpful when needed, but they weren't friendly-especially the bar. Pedro at Supiros Bakery was the exception. He was very friendly and helpful.

The rooms over all not bad except that we discovered a roach on the wall in the morning. Also they come around and knock on the doors almost on the hour. I guess to make sure you are ok.

We didn’t like the fact that the Hotel manager, Mr. Claudio could not afford us complementary breakfast which is something that the majority of Hotels issue to their paying customers. They wanted to charge us $20 dollars per person. His excuse was that since we didn’t book the two weeks at the Hotel’s website we were not entitled for breakfast to be included since we used Expedia for the two weeks booking. Even though is the same amount of money paid for our stay. That’s ridiculous I will never stay at this hotel again, ever or my friends. They could’ve accommodated us.

Cleanness and customer service the staff was friendly and the the room was neat and comfortable.

The hotel could’ve done better by providing us complimentary breakfast since we were staying at the hotel for two weeks by they refuse since I use Expedia for the booking and their site for which they wanted to charges $21 dollars per person. I think that was ridiculous since all other hotels don’t matter how you book it they include breakfast. Thank you. Will never stay at the Radisson again and I will tell my friends.
