The room had fungus growing in the bathroom. They charged extra for the spa, which wasn't declared earlier. And the room was much smaller than in the pictures. It didn't feel like 5 stars at all. The breakfast was decent though.
This hotel is not five star. I dont understand why it bears the "Ritz" name because it is not even close to that level. At best, this property could be 3 star. For a 3 star property I paid a good price and received fair service. I will add a few details: the beds are simply horrible: two twin mattresses are slapped together to form a queen bed. The mattresses are low quality and can be painful for your back.

Stay in Puccini Suite was very relaxing particularly the spa. The House cleaning was of a high standard and the Reception staff were very helpful The free shuttle to the Spanish Steps was a bonus. We used this every day The hotel is undergoing some renovation and this will modernise it as it currently is a bit dated and tired looking Overall a great stay and we would return
I was really upset with the check in process. I got there really early, which I am aware there is a time for check in. However specifically 10 minutes before the check in time they still did not let me check in.
When we checked in we were asked if we wanted to upgrade to a suite which we did. Sorry after as this was well worn and the shower bath was slippery and dangerous. They promised us a Matt for the bath to go into the bath but it never came. Very expensive to eat and drink so we only had breakfast in the Hotel. The breakfast room was full of flies which were on the food although we eat outside in restaurants and there were no flies
Good value for money - lovely breakfast and easy transport into the centre.
Stayed here for two nights on a honeymoon, and the room was adorable and conveniently located next to public transport. Worth being on the outer edge of all the busyness downtown.
