Terrible dont stay
There was no towels, 1 wash cloth, 1 hand towel. Pee on toliet seat and hair in the shower. 2 small older pillows on the bed and 1 thin blanket. No breakfast available.

The parking lot was covered in garbage, the room had old wrappers, a black film in the bathtub, stains on the furniture. We ended up leaving and checking in somewhere else.

Awful, Unsafe, Unsanitary
For the first time, I chose to leave rather than stay. It was unsafe, unsanitary, dangerous. Our room was horrible. We had tissue paper stuffed in the peep hole, the couch looked like it had been pulled from a dumpster after sitting out in the weather for days. Our sheets had stains and cigarette burn holes. The bathroom door was too narrow for the frame so it did not shut. It couldn't. There was a hole in the bottom of the bathroom door. The curtains were so filthy... I told my children to put their bags down on the table and not the floor. I immediately called. We were shown another room...absolutely no better. The other family we were traveling with so had the same experience in their room... collectively we canceled our rooms and found another room at midnight. It was the only safe option.

This place should not even be an option on Hotels.com! We arrived at 4:10pm, they didn’t have a room cleaned for us, there were three people in the lobby complaining about their room so the people who we were with went to check out their room and it was disgusting, no blankets, just sheets, one pillow on the bed and when you took the pillow case off, the the pillow was dirty brown with mascara stains all over it, the bathroom door was hanging on with one screw. This place looks like one of those run down hotels that homeless people rent.

This place is bad news
Hawthorne Inn & suite is riddled with broke desperate drug dealers and their broke down prostitute/girlfriends! I had to get my gun and slew with it under my pillow out of fear that some addicted looser was gonna come in. To top it off there's a steady flow of police patrols so i had to drink pop at dinner bc i was afraid of getting pulled over in the hotel parking lot.

Way downhill. Avoid.
I used to stay here quite a bit. Hadn't been up here in about a year. Wow. What a difference a year makes. Smoke smell was horrible. Since they are advertising weekly and monthly rates it has gone way downhill. Lots of late night/early morning "activities" taking place on the property. My door was pounded on at 3:00AM -- mistaken room. Only one drinking glass in the cupboards. And it was filthy. There are plenty of other options in Fort Wayne.

Terrible smokey rooms bad service not like picture
Hotel is a weekly and monthly rental place and it was not advertised as such. It was dirty, there were burn holes in the sheets and on the furniture even though we had a “smoke free” room. The kitchen was supposed to have dishes, silverware, and cookware and we had two plates, two knives, and a skillet. There was no toilet paper and we had to go ask for some. We also had to ask for towels because there were 2 towels for 4 people. The chair legs were chewed up by dogs, there were cigarette butts everywhere and also trash everywhere. We were woken by the local residents at 1am with loud screaming and then gun shots. When we arrived to check in the police were there. We also witnessed a drug deal in the back of the complex. Our keys weren’t working the second day and when we asked to have them fixed they didn’t ask for ID or anything. We could have asked to get into anyone’s room. Do not stay here. Fortunately we were so busy with a two day lacrosse tournament we weren’t around too much, but when we were it was nasty. Wish I had taken pictures to prove all this.

The lady at the front desk was super nice. The facility is a weekly/monthly rental and I did not know that prior to booking. I was staying with my wife and three daughters. The people staying there appeared to be transient types. Not trying to judge, but it was a rough looking place. Cigarette butts on the decking outside of our door, the kitchen floor was sticky, the bath tub had some red substance on it. The room smelled like reefer. I wouldn't stay here with a family, but it's probably fine if you're staying solo.
