Residence Inn by Marriott Palo Alto Mountain View

The hotel itself is wonderful. The hotel staff are very helpful. The room was nice,clean and comfortable. With that being said, the street noise was SO loud. The hotel is right on El Camino Real and constant car and street noise is constant all day and most of the night. I did not get a restful sleep. If you have to stay at this hotel. DO NOT get a room that on the busy street side. You will regret it. I have stayed at the Residence inn on El Camino Real a few miles up the road and did not have this problem.

I paid $200 for a room because I am from out of town. When I get there they make a huge deal about who’s name is on the booking even though both of us were present with IDs. Then they tell me I have to pay a $500 deposit when I have never heard of that much of a deposit before. I did not have that much money left in my account so I had to cancel the room and they never refunded me the $200 that I paid. Ended up being a stressful night for me trying to find a different cheap hotel since i lost 200$.

The Reception staff was really helpful in getting us some copies we needed right away! They even provided us tape for posting them at our condo!

Nice area. Close to downtown eateries & grocery stores. Spacious & well built for a family trip.

They were very accommodating during this Covid-19 time. Really loved the room--our dog seemed right at home.

I loved having a full kitchen I hated that I had to pay to park my car

Everything you need in a hotel, great staff and room!

The room is big and very suitable for a family trip. I stayed here for 8 days, and in general I would recommend who travel with toddler or children to stay there. Kitchen is helpful, each room has its own bathroom, space is big enough for family. However, couple of things can be improved: Cleanness: they don't vacuum the floor everyday, so it's not so clean to a toddler for a long stay Safety: one day when we back to the room, the door is not locked. it obvious that cleaner forgot to check carefully and it's really scare to my family. further, in the same day, cleaner left the trash in the room, all the used towers were not picked up, it looks something happened and he/she cannot finish the duty and left hurriedly Breakfast: well, you may feel boring if you stay more than 3 days since the choices are limited. By the way, please note that it needs parking fee, and free (but slow) WiFi is available in the room.

Good location, large room, clean, well equipped but COLD as it was cold outside and door to outside had huge gap as it looked like maybe old earthquake damage? Plenty of room (finger size) for cold air and critters to come in if desired

I like the sale price and; the interior design fits every needs of mine for the purpose of staying in a hotel, the design is very effective for a busy schedule. I had trouble finding the hotel because the exterior design reminded me of a residential area, it was so easy to pass the entrance of the parking lot to the hotel registration especially when a large vehicle was parking on the right turning point of the entrance that block the driver's view of the hotel entrance. The number of the building was confusing, especially the rooms on Building 12, the sign at front that indicates the numbers of the rooms but omitted those two room numbers at the back of Building 12. Overall, there is a need for an effective exterior sign, or a good map of the hotel. thank you.
