Hotel Regina Louvre

We are regulars at regina. when it was a 4* hotel, the service, staff, and rooms were better. It seems they were aiming for 5* to jack up their rates and ignore what matters most to their clients. quite disappointing i must say. Concierge is not helpful and ignorant about logistics within France. Reception used to be much kinder. Room amenities (coffee machine etc..) are gone. Cleaning staff has been replaced by incompetent and inconsiderate lower pay staff. Good luck Regina, we won't be returning to you unfortunately.

Water in shower would turn cold. Staff said they have never heard of the issue and offered us another room, we didn’t want to repack so we dealt with it. Very friendly staff, bar had very overpriced drinks go elsewhere for cocktails.

From the moment we pulled up to the hotel to the time we drove away the staff was incredible! Everyone was friendly and helpful. The staff in the bar area could not do enough for us. The hotel lobby is beautiful and the rooms are as well. The rooms are clean, the beds were a delight to sleep in. The location is perfect. The Louvre entrance is very close. I would highly recommend staying here!

The helpful multi-lingual staff allowed me an early check-in at this up-scale-area, central hotel, with some venerable stained glass windows and decorative wall tiles. The dining room served a limited gourmet menu with such appetizers as crab meat on a formed avocado base. Wake-up service was available by request to the front desk and resulted in a prompt, personal phone call. The cheerful room had a nicely stocked minibar and a large, luxe bathroom. My view was of some local people tending their apartments' roof-top gardens. A few of the older pieces of furniture and the wood-trimmed, revolving, hotel's main entry door should be replaced with more modern models, as this door, in particular, leaks air rather seriously. Taxi service was prompt, and a staff person escorted me and my small luggage to the cab. This hotel is a block from the Seine River and the shops on "the Left Bank", the central Parisian garden, the outer courtyard of the Louvre Museum, an ATM, and an attractive tea cake and French bread cafe. The main department store is a few blocks up the street. The hotel concierge publishes an annotated list of local events which I wish I had read more carefully when I first arrived such as that the Bastille Opera has some afternoon week-end presentations.

I thought the hotel was excellent and would highly recommend it.

The outside facade was beautiful. Location was great. Internet kept dropping out. Shower was poor, rooms were small.
