Motel 6 Groton, CT

We chose a location near by the casinos and outlets that was budget and pet friendly. This location checked both boxes. Our king size non smoking room offered just what we needed, the room was very spacious and our cat immediately loved the sofa. The fridge and AC/heater worked well. Our microwave had some issues but that was taken care of by one of the property's maintenance staff. If we had to choose one thing for this location to work on, it would be the pillows- more maybe? Or same number (3) but fluffier? Anyway, the location was quiet and we felt safe, we even stayed an extra day! No issues with other guests. We would stay again.

The room was nice. The decor waa average. The hotel is clean and close to a shopping area. The workout area was clean an available. The staff not so friendly. I stayed in the area for work because I am displayed by covid19. I was at a job site 7 am, abd explained to the manager that I would return after my scheduled work hours (5 pm) to stay additional nights but i could not return by 11am checkout. I already stayed 4 days and 3 nights in a row. At noon, they told me my belongings were packed in the front of the motel. There was no consideration that I was still planning to stay another couple of nights.

The property is beautiful but the rooms. But the rooms at what very big the bed is kind of small the comet sheet with the towels no conditioner

Love dogs and no hidden fees. Very clean and great value.

When we first walked into the lobby I thought "Oh no, this isn't going to work." There was a very strong smell of mildew and of an old building and we had to pass through it each time we walked to our room. I would have expected to smell bleach and clean since we are living in a COVID world. We asked for a room that had not been used recently and ours certainly wasn't. The dead moth and other 2 dead insects and the musty smell of the room indicated it had been empty. Housekeeping should still check on rooms more regularly to avoid any surprises. But the thing that truly turned me off was the light switches they were disgusting. One would expect that during COVID all touch surfaces would be extra clean but not here. I'm glad I brought my Clorox wipes and a can of Lysol. I did appreciate not having carpeted floors, it just felt a bit more sanitary. Lastly, the room was very spacious and the people at the front desk were both very nice and friendly.

- knocking when water is used - People smoking in non-smoking rooms - Floor is oily/ a/c unit is leaking - Linens need washing - Bathroom curtains need to be changed (moldy and dirty) - Fridge lining is dirty - Moldy pillow Only positive thing was the staff was really kind and offered me another room because the first one smelled like smoke.

It was ok

Room was extremely dusty and there was hair in the bathroom and in the bed. We couldn’t even use the AC because it was making a loud annoying sound and it would’ve been impossible to sleep with that. Definitely won’t be staying there again.

We had a good experience here. Wanted to escape being w/o power so we booked two nights here. Room was clean, bathroom was clean and water pressure was good. AC worked but made a bit of a rattling sound. We were so sleep deprived it didn’t matter much.
