Concorde Hotel Doha - Doha

Nice hotel near the airport. Large, comfortable rooms and excellent service from staff. Breakfast is ok and overall a good deal for the money. However it is a bit far from all the main attractions and sometimes getting a taxi can be difficult.

Cold breakfasts, burnt milk every morning for coffee, choice of food limited and very salty. First receptionist very rude when we complained room had been smoked in. Swimming pool very small. Facilities and quality is NOT 5 star.

Not enough parking space at the hotel basement for all residents. No alcohol drinks which was good. Bathroom had terrible sewage smell. Hotel staff were quick in responding to our complain when we first moved in. The smell was reduced alot but not fully. Breakfast was excellent. More like a 4-star hotel.

I stayed at the Concorde Hotel for one night on a recent business trip. The hotel has only been open for a year and everything therefore looks and feels new. The hotel was immaculately clean. I had looked forward to relaxing after a long flight to Doha by having a swim in their outdoor pool. Unfortunately it was having its annual maintenance and was therefore out of order. However, apart from that I had nothing to complain about. There is free WIFI throughout the hotel with good signal strength. They have 3 restaurants, two formal and one buffet style. Overall good experience, ensure you have car on hire otherwise finding taxis around could be hassle. Also, ensure you check the bar fridge at time of check in as things were already missing and we reported same so no charges were made payable towards it.

Everything is ok, but there is a big problem. The hotel is not in a good region. Moreover there is no taxi close by so you have to take hotel cars and it will cost you two or 3 times taxi rate.

The lobby was pleasing to see, clean, not cluttered, space is not too wide and not too small. The front desk personnel are courteous and helpful. Staff are very pretty (Pinay). There were very slow in responding to requests . The staff or the hotel are very helpful except the RECEPTIONISTS. I had four incidents with them in 2 nights. 1- I asked for an adapter, the receptionist promised to deliver it to my room & she forgot! I called again to order it, they promised to bring it & again they forgot. At the end, I got it after 3 hrs. 2- I left my room at 4pm & called the reception […] 2 ask them 2 send some1 to fix my room, they promised to do so. I walked to the reception before leaving and made sure they follow up with housekeeping until they clean my room. I came back at 10pm & found my room untouched! I had to wait for 30 mins until they fix it. I waited in the lobby during that time. 3- A friend visited my room at 11pm. The receptionist stopped him in the lobby and told him that he is not allowed to visit anyone at this time of the night, and kept asking him questions about the reason of his visit...she was laughing with her colleague about my friend's answers while he was was talking. She thought that he is lying and that he is planning to spend the night in my room. Anyway, 30 minutes after he arrived to my room, the receptionist kept calling us to check about the visitor and until when he is staying! That was so awkward and rude of them 4- When I checked out, I called the reception to send someone to take my luggages, I waited 20 minutes and no one came, until I decided to carry my luggages myself and go down to checkout and say goodbye...and never comeback. Everyone here was extremely pleasant and polite. The staff was happy to accommodate in any way possible. The hotel was beautiful and they even bring you a glass of apple juice on arrival. We enjoyed a buffet breakfast with lots of items to choose from and a room service menu with many dinner options.

The Concorde Hotel Doha is a new hotel, so still finding its feet in some areas - though I was impressed overall and will stay there again when I next return to Doha on business. The rooms are very well appointed and comfortable, the hotel location is a short drive (less than 10min) from the airport - they allowed an early check-in without any issues […] and also organised a car for a tour of Doha without any issues and at the right price. One tip - order room service for breakfast as the restaurant options are not great - but again I think this is a teething issue and nothing more. Llegamos a las 8 de la mañana, ya que solamente ibamos a pasar el día pues nuestro vuelo partía a las 23:30 y queríamos la habitación para descansar un rato y no estar en el aeropuerto. Nuestra primera sorpresa fue que cuando llegamos y nos dijeron que no podíamos ocupar la habitación hasta las 10 de la mañana o bien teniamos que pagar una penalización […] de 75$ si queríamos entrar 2 horas antes, minutos después nos dijeron que con 60$ se arreglaba, cada uno que saque sus propias conclusiones... me pareció muy poco serio y mas pensando que a las 10 de la noche nos marchabamos y veníamos de un largo viaje. Al final a las 10 entramos en la habitación. El servicio y la atención al cliente inexistenete. La habitación está bien pero sin nada especial, nueva pero como la de cualquier 4 estrellas. El personal es poco amable, bastante seco y sobre todo poco profesional porque les pedimos que nos despertaran y se les olvido hacerlo, menos mal que nos pusimos la alarma del móvil. El detalle final fue cuando pedimos el transporte al aeropuerto nos dijero que eran 40 ryals (moneda local que al cambio equivale a 10$), nos dijeron que llamarían un servicio de taxi privado, a los 3 minutos apareción un taxista al que le dieron 5$ delante nuestro (al menos podían haber sido mas discretos) y al aeropuerto que esta a unos 3 minutos en taxi. Lo mejor del hotel es un restaurante que está a unos 200 m que se llama Um Al Ahnaya, de comida típica que al menos nos hizo olvidar la experiencia vivida. Pročitajte više
