The hotel was great and the owners were very helpful. It is a bit remote, and is perfect if you have a car but it would be difficult to stay there without a car.

Timothy and Delphine are great people. The view is wonderful. The food is excellent. The only reason I do not give it a higher rating is the room does not have air conditioning.

This is a great hotel with a gorgeous view! The owners are very friendly and helpful and will even give you a ride to town if they are going. The food was outstanding. Since the hotel is located on the outskirts of SJDS it is very quiet as well. I would definitely stay there again.

I booked the hotel just for one night with a desire to move to the city for the remaining 4 nights. Well, after reaching the hotel that was overlooking the Nacascolo Bay, we fall in love with the place. Unprecedented serenity, gorgeous location and views. After the second night we thought we would check out the town. Well, I tell you, after coming out […] this peaceful paradise I felt quite overwhelmed with the motion of the near by village, noise, car and motorbike fumes, over the board partying of some young westerners, and this experience practically change all our planes. We returnd to the place for 4 more nights. The hosts Timothy and Delphine were so greatly accommodating our all needs with all their helpers and especially the youngest one - Charlotte - their cute 18 months year old girl. That is true it is 3 kms (2 miles) to the town, or around US$16 round trip by taxi, but I am telling you, if you want to enjoy the paradise from one of the best locations in the area, this is must place to be!!! Anywhere else the place like that would cost you much much more! We highly recommend staying there, especially if you a have a vehicle, it is great! If you want to visit the near by norther beaches, just come down to the road and stop any of the passing by cars. I don't recommend walking!!!! Safety issue around the city dump!!! Vert friendly owner-couple, they even drove us to the beach! The hotel is excellent for people wanting to avoid the beach-scene in the city. There is a beautiful view of the bay from the hotel and the rooms are comfy thoughnot luxurious.

We just returned from a 6 night stay at the El Jardin (02/10/12-02/16/12) and had a wonderful time. Tim and Delphine could not have been more gracious hosts. We arrived quite late in the evening (midnight) and Tonio, the security guard, met us at the gate and immediately made us feel welcome and safe. The breakfast each morning had made to order eggs, […] delicious coffee, fruit, bread, cheese and fresh squeezed juice. A perfect way to start a day sitting in the open dining area with an unobstructed view of the bay and pacific ocean. The hotel staff is friendly and attentive. A special shout out to Gio, who always had a smile on his face no matter what we asked him to do to help us. Also, do not miss a sunset from this deck! Tim and Delphine were happy to have us tag along in a ride to town when we wanted or arrange a taxi for us. They were also extremely helpful with suggestions of things to do and places to see in and around town. The hotel is approximately 2.5km from the city center, so you can walk it if you want. The cab fare is negotiable and we usually paid between $5-7. Since the hotel is not in the center of town, it is quiet and peaceful. It was a great place to hang out, have a few glasses of wine, lay by the pool and read a book. The dinners each evening were first rate and you have your pick of a number of dishes each freshly prepared by Tim and Delphine. We loved our short time at the El Jardin and hope to visit again! This is a wonderful hotel, overlooking the Nacascolo Bay. The hosts Timothy and Delphine are most accomodating, and the reasonable rate includes a terrific breakfast served fresh daily. The hotel is a couple miles up the Chocolata Road from San Jan del Sur, so I got my exercise each day climbing the hill. I recommend this hotel to a couples, the owners are extremetly nice they offer you to take you to town every morning, the hotel over all it is out standing with the most beautiful view of the whole bay, the rooms are very confortable, our stay was very relaxing and pleasent I will recommend it 100%.

Timothy and Delphine rock and they have a beautiful hotel and property. They treat you like family and will ensure your time in Nicaragua is awesome. I would more than 100% recommend this hotel to anyone traveling in Nicaragua. The hotel also offers great value and baby Charolett is sure to put a smile on your face (their gorgeous little girl).

The hotel was pretty nice and the owners were friendly. It was a quiet and relaxing place. However, it is fairly difficult to get to and any cab ride into town is $15USD (and 20-30mins) one way which is quite a bit for Nicaragua.

We had a wonderful experience at El Jardin. Tim and Adelphine were terrific hosts who made us feel right at home from our first day there. The hotel is located outside of town about 4 kilometers therefore you have to take a taxi to the town at a cost of $5.00 during the day and $8.00 at night. The road is absolutely terrible up to the hotel full of ruts caused by the heavy rains and needs to be graded which I understand is not going to happen. Jeg syntes hotellet var veldig fint, og eierene var veldig hyggelige og behjelpelige. Utsikten var nydelig og det var godt at det var stille og behagelig. Det eneste som var litt negativ var at det lå litt utenfor byen og når det ikke var muligheter for å bestille lunsj på hotellet hadde det vært fint å kunne hatt et lite kjøleskap på rommet.

Está a apenas 5 minutos de San Juan del Sur y como a 10 de las playas, lo que permite disfrutar de relax, playa o fiestas, según se prefiera en cada momento. Nuestra estancia fue en todo momento, como esperábamos que fuese. Todo salió como quisimos, como decidimos improvisar y siempre gracias al personal del hotel. El desayuno, que sirven cada mañana, fue siempre exquisito y muy completo, además cada día servían zumo natural hecho en el momento, siempre rico, en especial uno de piña con un toque de limón. Das schwierigste an diesem Hotel ist die Anfahrt. Wir waren 3 Tage dort und es war Erholung pur. Ein sehr ruhiger Platz mit einer tollen Aussicht. Das Gastgeberpaar ist extrem freundlich, aber dabei sehr zurueckhaltend. Da wir unserem Auto nicht nochmals den Anfahrtsweg zumuten wollten, haben uns die Gastgeber immer sowohl in die Stadt als auch zu den […] Straenden gebracht. Abends haben wir immer im El Jardin gegessen, was trotz erster Bedenken sehr gut war, weil man sowohl mit toller Aussicht essen kann und das Essen auch noch extrem gut ist. Du kan ta deg en drink eller et måltid i uterestutanten mens du ser at solen går ned i havet.
