The hotel is a very good value. Despite being on a 12th floor, we didn't have a very good view because the window was as small as an ocean view stateroom ar a cruise. First day we arrived we went up to the top floor where the pool and veranda is to take some photos. The view is great. The pool and hot tub were dirty. The tile surrounding the pool had mold on it. My husband and I visited friends in Baranquilla and we stayed at smartsuites for 2 nights. The hotel is clean and modern. We liked it that staff was helpful even though they were working on Christmas. The restaurant, breakfast area and bar are basic but fair enough for the price point of the hotel. I will try to give you a very honest review about the SmartSuites Royal Barranquilla Hotel. I have traveled the world and have seen good and bad hotels. Check-in experience was a "HORRIBLE" experience. Jennifer checked me in. She was quite rude and had not idea of what Customer Service is about. The process was slow. I asked if I could have a room in […] a high floor and the answer was "NO!" no consideration at all. The Hotel was half empty. The Pool is non-existent. On the Top floor you will find a pool as big as a bath tub and a jacuzzi or should I call this a bubbles pool ? The exercise area has 4 machines. The massage room is not very relaxing but the massage was decent. The bedroom: Very basic. The restaurant/breakfast buffet: The service is horrible. The girls in the restaurant dont care and seem to think they work for a 2 star hotel. The Breakfast was ok. It is located in a decent area and has some restaurants around. This is a brand new hotel. The staff was courteous and spoke English very well. Clean rooms. Only compliant is that the internet service is about 30% slower than the states.

I always stayed before at the Barranquilla Plaza. These are rooms, not suites. Bed was nice, newer rooms. Bad side was, wireless internet weak, pool very small and not so clean.

This is probably one of the best hotels in this city. It is very new and modern. The rooms were beautiful, very comfortable, everything new. Internet was fast and worked flawlessly. The breakfast buffet was very good. The location is excellent and safe to walk around, a huge plus in this city. Some nice restaurants within walking distance.

Aparte de la humedad que se sentía en la habitación, no hay mayor queja. La calidad del servicio fue excelente, siempre atentos a nuestras inquietudes. El pe-ro fue a la hora de desayuno, mucha gente y el espacio muy reducido. Creería que fue porque era el fin de semana que nos hospedamos era justo antes de Semana Santa.

Muy atento el personal en general, se esmeran por que la estadia sea agradable. Las áreas sociales necesitan mayor cuidado y atención. Su ubicación es inmejorable ya que esta rodeado de muy buenos restaurantes y la zona es muy bonita. Sin duda, esa es la zona y el Hotel en general es muy bueno

Tiene muy buen servicio de limpieza, orden y pulcritud, sus habitaciones son amplias y cómodas, es elegante y fresco. El único punto negativo que tienen es que en un anuncio […] del lobby dice que por día tienes 3 minutos gratis de llamadas internacionales, cosa que es falsa porque en el check-out me lo debitaron... Magnifico hotel, situado en la mejor zona para turistas de Barranquilla. El personal es muy atento y educado, muy limpio, habitaciones amplias, piscina pequeña en la terraza superior del edificio, y gimnasio. El desayuno es muy bueno lo malo es que termina a las 10,30. Buena conexión a Internet. Una apuesta segura, 100% recomendable.
