Excellent place for the price we paid. Staff all very helpful and friendly, food served was good as well in a nice environment. We stayed one night to have a look around during the day and we were within walking distance of everything we wanted to see. View off the roof is pretty great too. Would definitely go back.

The guest house is a few blocks from the city center. I felt comfortable walking around both day and night. There are a some great street food vendors in the area and also an Exito grocery store a block or two away. I really enjoyed my stay at 61Prado. Same price as a private room in a hostel but feels like you are in a boutique hotel. Beds were comfortable, room very clean, great wifi, tasty affordable breakfast. I am very pleased overall with my stay at Prado61. There were more lights than shadows on my opinion, so he are the facts: First of all GETTING THERE is a real mess. Even though they give you a precise address, the hotel is actually a house converted to an hotel with no signs what so ever... Every time we took a cab, the driver got lost because nobody […] knows that there is a hotel there. The hotel is right in downtown Medellin, which I discovered when I arrived, is not actually a good thing, since right know the heart of the city is located in the suburbs (El Poblado). The neighborhood is really creepy, and you go out believing you are going to be assaulted in any moment, so if you go there, drop all your jewelry when you go outside. Thankfully taxis pass right by the frontdoor of the hotel the whole day, so you don't have to go far to pick up a cab. FACILITY: I have to say I was pretty amazed with the looks of the hotel when you actually get inside. You feel like you crossed the world, and are in a beautiful european boutique hotel. At night, the lobby is lighted by candles, is a beautiful enviroment. The room had flat screen TV with cable, and the shower had hot water all the time. On the downside, there's no air conditioning on any room, so be ready to feel some heat, even thought since at nite temperature drops, is not that awful. They do give you a standing fan. I did not stay at this hotel my first 2 trips to Medellin, because of the low price. It looked good in the pictures. When I finally stayed, I was impressed, hot showers, great breakfast, wonderful staff- very attentive. Proximity to most of the sites of Medellin, 3 blocks from metro station Prado. I will stay here from now on when I visit Medellin.

Pues por lo general me gusto mucho. La ducha no fue miu comoda ya que la presion del agua no fue muy buena. Segundo el hotel no acepta ninguna otra forma de pago que no es efectivo. Y eso no lo dicen a uno hasta que uno esta haciendo el check-out. Apezar de esas dos cosas si me quedaria de nuevo en este hotel.

El hotel es bonito y acogedor. La verdad se siente uno como en casa. La terraza tiene una hermosa vista aunque hacen falta más sillas allí (solo hay una mesa y 4 sillas). Las habitaciones amplias aunque la mía (205) tenía olor a humedad al abrirla. Este olor se disipaba al abrir las ventanas y encender el ventilador. Recomendaciones: el huésped debe […] especificar que necesita el parqueadero para reservarlo (solo hay uno). Yo pensé que habían varios y que la habitación lo incluía pero al llegar me dijeron que un cliente ya lo había reservado y que debía parquear a dos cuadras del hotel. Afortunadamente este huésped nunca llegó y tuve el parqueadero. La administradora es amable y colaboradora pero la noté algo centrada en el dinero lo cual la estresaba y le quitaba la amabilidad característica. El sector o colonia donde está el hotel está algo deteriorada, con moteles y al lado hay una casa de dudoso aspecto. Aconsejo llegar de noche en taxi. De resto todo bien.
