The hotel was very nice. The staff was very friendly. Most spoke perfect english. The rooms were large, clean, and very comfortable. The buffet and steakhouse were also very good.

i didn't know luxury till i stayed at this hotel but having said that, it was not walking distance to any major point of interest or eatery (though they were a short cab ride away). it's too posh for me, but it was definitely an eye-opener. and not expensive either.

Big clean well maintained room with floor to ceiling windows and a nice sitting area. Nice bathroom and shower too, BUT the water pressure was not sufficient to fill the bath with really hot water. I'd definitely stay here again nonetheless.

After arriving on a 1am flight, the Sofitel was like an oasis to arrive at. The room was much larger than expected and beautifully laid out. Staff were very helpful and there were plenty around to assit at all times of the day and night. All of the food we ate at the hotel was also great. The hotel is five stars. No idea why they asked to purchase the swimming hat, caused the reason of hygiene. First time I never ever been asked for this issue in the hotel swimming pool.

Our stay in this hotel was a terrible experience. Service is awful and not worth 4 stars ! Laundry was not returned on time, towels were missing in the bathroom, soap and shampoo was not changed/refilled every day, concierge is unwilling to help and we had to fight for 1 hour to have a limo booked for our staff.... and finally the waiters do not speak […] a word of english at the Chinese restaurant. It takes an hour and a half to get the room. A 5-star hotel don't know they should offer an updated room rather than asking visitor to wait for a cleaned guest room at 3pm check-in time. They can only offer an upgraded room by charing additional hundred dollars sth more. Or you just wait for another hour at lobby lounge. It must be joking!!!

The hotel was great though the check in time was delay. The location is a bit far from metro and those shopping malls but the taxi fare is very cheap.

I took elite room but still hotel was cheaper than another 5 star hotel in Guangzhou and a lot better. Room was very big, felt like a small suite and quite open area. First hotels for a very long long time that has big enough bathtub for a big man. For some resason local Wi-Fi didn't work with mobile phone, no problem with laptop. Room quite new and […] "french style" (in a chinese way), people very helpful and spoke quite good english. Information says that 31 floors but misses 4th, 14th, 24th and 13th floors (3B instead) so can be recommended to superstitious people. Ok restautants and breakfast. Pročitajte više

Most of the staff could speak english, the buffet breakfast was great .My room was quite large and clean.It was very thoughtful of the hotel to provide free transport buses to and from the Canton fair.I would love to go back to the hotel for the next fair.

The Sofitel lives up to its reputation as a luxury location. The staff though very helpful and polite at every turn did not speak much english and that was the only drawback in regards to requests or information. The suite was extremely comfortable and the room service could not have been better. Location is a few blocks from all the shopping you would […] want to do. Though stepping out of the hotel at first is not that appealing. Taxis are cheap so it really does not matter where you want to go it is all very economical to get there.
