"Nice but overpriced."
Very central and pleasant hotel but for the price they charge per night, I was expecting something a bit more special--I got a Fellows Room. Pictures on site make it se nicer than it is. Lights by bed impossible to read by. They did not bring my bag to my room, which meant waiting around to change for dinner. Did not use spa, breakfast was nice though […] you have to go next door. "Varsity Hotel Cambridge"
Stayed in a Fellows King Room but thought the bed was actually a double and was also a little disappointed at the room - the pictures look like the rooms are edgy with bright wallpaper and style - but thought the room we were in was a little plain for what we were expecting.
Although we booked for a double, there was only one bedside table and no chair to see on. Staff was very laid back, although they promptly put another bedside table and chair into the room, the chair did not matched and the bedside lamp was not replaced. Staff was not apologetic at all and use the excuse that as they had just opened more rooms lately, […] they have had to pinch furniture to put into other rooms. Room size was okay but bed was only Queen size. Didn't like the idea of having to go out of the building to get breakfast, especially, if it is raining. Very nice hotel. Only minor points are that it doesn't feel like a business hotel (desk too small to work at) and room service menu was confusing.

"Varsity hotel and Spa"
Very convenient central location. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff were exceptionally helpful when asked about sightseeing locations, printing me a map and giving directions. Going next door to the restaurant was odd but we got used to it. The Spa, (located in the building next door) was the ideal place to pamper yourself.
