Beautiful rooms. Friendly staff. A bit out of the way with nothing around it. Food at the resort is expensive ($20US/pp/meal minimum) and there are no surrounding restaurants unless you take a taxi or shuttle an hour into Cebu. Very good resort but the reception on checking in we're too slow. But overall considering its just a 2yrs. old resort it's really good. The staff were very friendly, kind, helpful and polite. Specially the girl in the restaurant who's name is Jack/Jacky she is very pleasant.

Excellent service, very nice place to relax a couple of days. Food was alsp good, the beach is small but enough for refreshing and snorkelling a bit. For going out take a normal cab, it costs half than the hotel cars do. Would go there again.

I stayed here for four nights on vacation. Five stars for the hefty price (better off somewhere else), staff attentiveness, and comfort of the bed. We had a fantastic family week here. Service (as almost everywhere in Philippines) excellent, warm and caring. Everyone from Front Desk to the ladies in the Kids Center, to the bodyguards and waiters/waitress, to the gardeners. The place is very nice and cosy. Very enjoyable. And overall good value. The menu is the same for the three restaurants, so after two days you know it me you want to try something else. Breakfast buffet is not that different per day. And the rooms small too. My wife and I recently spent 4 days at this 2 year old resort. It is beautifully landscaped and with a picturesque view of the ocean. We had a deluxe room with a king sized bed located at ground level. Although golf-cart transportation was available our room was within walking distance of all the facilities. The food was good, but the drinks tended […] to be "weak". However this was my experience in the entire Philippines since they measure the alcohol using the equivalent of a half a shot in the US. Although they advertised nightly entertainment none was available during our stay. I enjoyed a day of SCUBA diving with Naz and his crew. They were great but I was disappointed to learn that their boat lacked oxygen for use in case of an emergency. This oversight was a definite safety risk and should not have occurred. My wife enjoyed the yoga classes. We arranged for a city tour of Cebu by the resort. The driver was a pleasant fellow who drove us to the various historical sights. However he was not well-versed in the historical facts. We are not beach people so the inadequecies of the beach area did not affect us. The pool area was large and easily met our needs. The entire staff was friendly, cordial and attentive to all our needs. The resort provides transportation to and from the airport at a cost of 650 pesos each way. Thrilled at the modern low rise Asian style resort resort. Tasteful and practical design. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food very good, especially the breakfast buffet and the happy hour specials help to increase the fun and stretch the budget. Only a few land based attractions in Cebu but it was just great to enjoy the water.

But Crimson should (1) Increase power in the shower (2) Prevent water from shower cubicle seeping onto the toilet floor (3)Ensure the full set of toiletries are replaced everyday eg we had 2 new face towels on 1st day, one on 2nd day and none on last 2 days and no shavers throughout (4) Reduce waiting time for taxis […] as we had to wait 30 minutes for one. The property is nice and the rooms are comfortable. The restaurants are good and the pool side massage was reasonably priced! What dampened our stay was the continued pestering by hotel employees to take tours. We took a tour and it was not what was in the description. The hotel seemed unconcerned. I was promised a call back from the GM, but never got […] one. We did have a problem with the hotel car pick up from the golf course and after complaining, we were compensated with a free airport transfer and apology. The cleaning staff seems to be distracted. We had to ask for towels a few times and they took the trash out of the trash can and left it on the tub. Toilet paper, razors, shampoo, tissues, etc. were not refilled. Our a/c battery went out and we called to ask for it to be replaced, as our a/c was not working and the room was hot. They said they would get to it as soon as possible. When my husband said, "No, you must come now, we are not staying here with a hot room...", someone appeared quickly. There just seems to be some sort of overall customer service "gap" in the Philippines. We have lived overseas and our expectations were quite low - they were met. Was a bit hesitant choosing the hotel. But Crimson exceeded my expectations. The staff were all so kind hearted. They made sure they greeted you. Food and breakfast buffet were all excellent. The facilities ground were also well kept.

Yes it's a great resort with all the trimmings as you would expect from the price. But there are much better places in better location on REAL beaches in other areas of Cebu. That's why I wouldn't recommend it.

there was no hot water when we arrived in the room, after calling the Manager, trhey finally sent the hotel maintenance and they discovered that it had been switched off!......then the internet all the sudden stopped working but the worst was at night at 11:00pm when we were sleeping house keeping came to clean the room next door, banging the door, […] having loud conversations, draging the dishes...to a point that we had to call for the third time in a raw the manager who finally sent security......for a 5 * resort I though that it was simply unacceptable.....the cherry on the cake was when the next day , the only time we wanted to use the pool, the pool staff informed us that there were no more towels......and did not even offered to wait or to call house keeping to get more towels...they just let us leave but when we arrived to our room, it was then 5 pm, our room had not been done.....when we treaten to request our money back, the manager offered an upgrade but franfly speaking...the quality is not there...if you want to really enjoy a first class resort go to the Shangri-La Mactan......it's a little more money but you won't be disappointed......Ho I forgot....at the entrance of the "Krimson resort" they have some bungalows in construction which does not make the entire look appealing...! After driving through the streets of Mactan, and arriving at the resort, I was impressed at the quiet surroundings. The service with our bags and check-in was great, and the staff very hospitable. This resort was breathtaking, with the views and the rooms. Well maintained and clean. The food was excellent, we've tried 3 of the 4 restaurants they had […] in the resort. Our children had fun within the resort. If you like to play badminton, they do have 3 courts available (I think I've seen only a handful play inside). The kids area was safe and very accessible. The only thing I have to really complain about was the speed of the housekeeping staff. I had to ask twice for some items requested such as a comb and to take the dirty dishes away. It took so long that I just left it outside on our patio to be picked up (didn't really want to go to bed with leftover food on the table). Apart from that, this place is beautiful, and really a nice spot to have a RELAXING vacation. Even though some people might want to do some activities (which they can) this seems to be catered to a calm, relaxing and quiet environment. The Spa was great (from what my Wife has told me) and really not that out of the way. If you're looking for a big beach, sorry to say it's not that big but enough to just sit and lounge. We stayed during Chinese New Year, and it's nice that the hotel was decorated to celebrate it and also served Chinese food in dinner buffet. But the food was terrible enough and the tea was the worst thing I ever drank in my life. I almost wanted to say that I can give them some of the tea leaves I brought with me so that I don't feel so embarrassed. And can you imagine a 4.5 star hotel's waitresses use one-time-use chop sticks to do their hair? That isn't funny at all. In general a very comfort hotel, but quite some details can be improved, e.g., pls don't give us the old and torn towels, pls allow the guests to have place to dry their swimming suits and some clothes in stead of hanging them on chairs on the patio. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Crimson. The staff was, by far, the friendliest and most attentive staff of any resort we have visited. The beach was a bit rocky, but great for snorkelling. Many water sports are available and reasonably priced.

The hotel was in the middle of management change and an airline cargo dispute, so some of this may not still be true. We arrived with our luggage lost, same cargo dispute, but the hotel was very helpful in keeping us posted on the progress of our luggage and getting us essentials. The mini-refrigerator was not working, the safe was not working, and the lounge chair in the room was missing. The fridge and safe were replaced within 10 minutes of us calling, but we never got the chair. Restaurant and bar service were excellent and the food fabulous. The food was a bit pricey, but given to leave the resort and taxi into town would have cost more, we felt the atmosphere (we ate at the outdoors beach front) was worth the price. Our average dinner, with drinks, for two, was about $40USD. The resort offers some water sports and a program for kids, but there is nothing else to do around the resort. The Hotel is nice but somewhat basic with no Ironing Boards/Irons and a lack of plug points if you have a lapop and Mobile to charge ! Internet Acess is woeful. It is a taxi ride to everywhere and many of the cabs get lost finding the Hotel. Hotel staff are wonderful, but stay at the Shangri-La instead.

I read pretty good review about Crimson and decided to give it a try for 2 nights stay but too bad we didn't quite enjoy our stay there. The location is very far away from the city thus with no other option but to have dinner at the Saffron cafe in the resort for most of our meals. Most serving staffs in the Saffron cafe were really efficient, friendly […] and professional. Fortunately the food were quite acceptable. I personally feel that the reception was the worst department, none of the staffs look happy , they don't even greet or smile at any guest, infact I think they look very troubled. The beach is very small and the infinity pool has a strange design. Breakfast were always chaotic as it seems like the number of tables were not enough.Thus after 845am, there was always a long queue. The Garden Suite that I stayed wasn't very clean when I checked in, I could find lots of hairs on the floor, the bed was a little too soft and sometimes the water pressure from the taps was so weak. On the first night after a few lightling the power supply was totally cut off twice but power came back after a few seconds. Basically, I think there are more to improve in this new property. Also take metered taxis from Cebu airport located at the upper level not the hustlers at the airport exist who are more expensive & charge you a fix rate. I did not like the fact that we also had ants in our room but than I never reported it. lovely place, the only derogatory thing i could say was the beach is man made. wonderfully wonderous staff, lovely accommodations, very quiet romantic place. my room was upgraded as they were only getting ready for grand opening and not many people were staying at the place, great food, the service was stunning.
