Overall we very much enjoyed our stay. Highlights were the concierge, the bar on the second floor, soft boiled eggs with toast soldiers on the menu for breakfast. Some confusion over the booking at the hotel. Booked as twin through Hotels.com but had down as double at the hotel but situation was rectified very quickly. From that point on it was pretty much faultless. Would definitely visit again.

Blythswood Square is an excellent hotel in the middle of Glasgow city. Location is excellent, with the shopping streets and train station only a few blocks away. We stayed at the Blythswood Square for a one night weekend getaway and had a wonderful stay. We had cocktails in the Salon bar, afternoon tea and also made use of the spa for a massage and facial and everything was perfect. Wouldn't hesitate to visit again.

We had an excellent stay at the hotel. We were upgraded to a Classic Room free of charge, all the staff were very friendly, we received 2 free glasses of champagne at our room while we settled in. Easy to get to shops and offices in the area. Pool/spa is nice but guests have very limited hours available to use the facility. Good selection for breakfast. Rather that get up early to feed the car park meter you can top up the night before and get peace of mind that you wont get booked for a couple of hours.

We stayed here for 1 night after finding a great B&B deal here; much cheaper than the hotel's website! The room was very plush, nice big bath and shower. The Spa was pretty swish but very busy as hotel guests can only use between 7-9am and 6-9pm so when we went down at 6.30 it was packed. All in it is a great 5* hotel.

The conditions in the hotel were wonderful and so clean it felt like home. I thought the bed was amazing and I feel asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow. david, tom and the front desk staff were welcoming and helpful and appropriately friendly. the spa was wonderful , though signs could be a little more visible . the restaurant food was excellent BUT the service was third rate. the maitre d was rude when he discovered that ihad ordered 2 glasses of wine -not a bottle !

We stayed here for two nights. The location is excellent, being very central. The entrance lobby was quite grand but modern. First impressions were good. All the staff that we encountered were friendly and helpful in that efficient, well trained way of an upmarket hotel. All services were on hand if needed. The building has an original part and an extended […] part which meant that there were two separate lifts serving different blocks of room numbers. This could cause slight puzzlement if, for instance, you entered the lift from the spa area and found you could not go directly to your particular room level but it was not a big issue for us and the staff took care to explain the issue. We did not eat in the hotel in the evening but if the breakfast was anything to go by, it would have been very good on all fronts - service, organisation, food and staff. The spa facilities were comprehensive and very good. Once signed in, you were shown to the changing area. Personally, I was then left to my own devices to discover where everything was and how things worked. Not too taxing but a short tour round would have been appreciated. We had complimentary access to the whole facility outside the main daytime hours, which suited us as we were out for most of each day. There was a full list of other treatments available should you be so inclined. The fairly small and unsupervised fitness room was available to all residents with no time restrictions. Our room was a deluxe double. It was very modern and quite spacious. It had everything you need but sometimes one can't help wondering if the folk who design these spaces actually ever stay in them. The practicality of the room could be better in say, positioning of power sockets, location of tea/coffee facilities, having a shower cubicle with a non seal door that would be fine in a wet room except that it was not a wet room.
