Considered one of Shanghai’s most famous sights, the temple features the largest jade sitting Buddha statue in China and a 3.5-ton Ming Dynasty copper bell.

Motel 168 was very standard as far as business style hotels are concerned; lacking personality but cheap and convenient. Room was not always cleaned properly as we found the floor to be quite dusty at times and the bathroom door lock was broken; likewise the air con was badly in need of some repair which meant a cold and somewhat smelly room. Good location […] in terms of distance to metro and with LOTS of good restaurants nearby; great too for convenience stores and a post office on the way to the metro station.
