Cretan Dream Royal Hotel - Kreta

We did not receive the room we booked and paid for. We booked a suite open plan sea view with clear photos on what this was. When we got to the hotel, they claimed a suite was a normal double room -and the room was grouund floor with the only view being other buildings. We were extremely disappointed with this. We stayed here on a business trip. The room we stayed was a suite where there was a living room and a bedroom. The suit was very large. And there was a kitchenette! The balcony faces an empty lot with overgrown weeds, and the beach across a busy street. The balcony smelled like cat urine during the day because of the empty lot next door. Upon arrival, […] we quickly found out that we were given any washcloth. We called the front desk and were told that they would send us some the next morning. We were there in the middle of June. It was hot and after a day outside, we need a shower. Fine, shower without washcloth. The next day, we came back. Room was cleaned, but no shampoo. Called the front desk and got one soon after. Then the day after, we found out that we weren't given any toiletries. We went to the front desk and were told we would be given some next day. So, another round of showers without any toiletries... Moving on to breakfast: it was included in the room rate. But if you go 30 minutes before the breakfast buffet ends, you will be left with just some bread and cucumbers. So, go to breakfast early. The hotel is located outside of Chania. You will need to take a 15-20 minute bus to go in to the city. The bus stop is right outside the hotel. Beach is across the street from the hotel. We had a fantastic and very relaxing week at this lovely hotel. The staff were so helpful and obliging and nothing was too much trouble. The grounds are beautifully maintained and rooms very clean. The hotel is beautiful but about 15 minutes out of town. The sunset is beautiful and the excellent service is worth the short ride into town. The staff goes out of their way to service you and make you feel at home. Lots of Europeans visit as their summer vacation. Excllent service at the pool bar!!!

L'hotel è bellissimo: fronte mare, poco distante da Chania, base perfetta per partire alla scoperta della bellissima e selvaggia parte ovest di Creta. Gjennomgående et pent og hyggelig hotell. Hyggelig betjening og meget godt renhold. Fine basengområder og nok av solstoler. strand rett over en meget trafikert vei. Stranden er litt steinete i overgangen vann/starnd. Det er ikke hotellet som har stranden, så man må betale for senger/parasoll.Hadde frokost og middag inkludert, og hvis man husker på at […] detter er Hellas og ikke et norsk høyfjellshotell så var det helt OK. Hotellet ligger i et område hvor det skjer lite, noen tavernaer i nærheten. Men det er kort vei ca 10 min. inn til Chania m bil og ca 5 min til Platanias. Rommene som har bare havutsikt kan være litt forstyrret av trafikk og "gneldrebikkjer" De med hav og bassengutsikt er mer skjermet. Sehr angenehmes Hotel, Ausstattung passend, ruhige lage. Das Buffet entspricht nicht ganz 5 Sterne Niveau, ist aber ausreichend und abwechslungsreich. Preisniveau der Verfplegung angenehm.

Hotellet är mycket bra med fantstisk utsikt och väldigt trevlig personal och god mat. Dock finner vi det snarare vara ett fyrstjänigt än angivet 5.stjärningt hotell. För att få en internationell tidning t.ex. måste vi resa in till Chania. Själva hotellet ligger mycket vackert .Tyvärr fann vi kringliggande området tråkigt. Enda prommenad möjligheter […] var längs starkt traffikerade vägar. Vi valde hotellet bla för att det har busshållplats precis nedanför. Tyvärr vägrade busschauförerna systematiskt att stanna vid hotellet när de kom från Chania- trots att det finns oficiell hållplats.Två dagar av 14 fungerade det tack vare att receptionen ringde till bussbolget och klagade. Vi kan därför rekommendera hotellet för den som hyr bil alt bara vill ligga på stranden. Pročitajte više
