"Fantastic."
Fabulous. We only spent one night at the Hotel and it was great. It would appear they have addressed sound issues with the rooms overlooking the central dining area by installing double glazing into all the doors. We certainly didn't hear anything. We stayed here for one night on our way from Queenstown to Fiji on our honeymoon. The front desk staff gave great recommendations for food. The rooms were nice and clean and comfy, though not much time was spent here. It's a very quaint hotel with an indie vibe. If I were staying longer I would definitely return to this hotel. Hotel de Brett was excellent on all levels. It is a small boutique style hotel located in a fashionable part of Aucklands Central Business District. The room was clean, comfortable (especially the bed!), set in an art deco style. we had the small suite for 5 days - bed really comfortable - sitting area sofa and chairs very uncomfortable - continental breakfast very poor gave up after 2 days went out for breakfast - no choice of cereals even - ok if you like muesli, sweet bread and croissants - room dark - but aspects of the hotel were charming - thought the restaurant expensive […] especially the wines - not a good base if you want to hire a car as parking is very limited on the street but the hotel does offer valet parking at 20.00 NZD per night - all in all 1 night would have been ok but too limiting for 5 nights Pročitajte višeAutentične Expedia recenzije gostiju

This place has it all, great location, friendly and helpful staff, beautifully decorated rooms in an art deco style, amazing food. Facilities included an atrium with restaurant and bar and a private sitting/drawing room for guests who wanted to get away from the bustle of the city. I travel alone and I appreciated the quiet hospitality I received from all the staff. I really enjoyed ordering from the restaurant menu and having it in my room with lovely wine, without having to go out and be surrounded by tables full of people, but still being able to enjoy your superb food. And the bed was wonderful .... I love crisp and down beds […] - and I am going looking for a down mattress top for my own ... thank you so much for a lovely one night in Auckland before my train trip to Bluff! "A gorgeous oasis in the heart of Auckland city."
Gorgeous mid century furniture, funky modern, but very tasteful. Bath lovely and deep and super clean. Toilet has a door separating from main bathroom as does shower, opaque glass, tasteful and very practical, love the rain shower. Plush feather bedding, really quiet double glazing, despite very central location, only downside we were above the downstairs […] bar on a sat night and you could hear thumping or a lift so get a room not above the bar on a night there is likely to be busy bar patrons, but it was otherwise super quiet on Sunday night, and just gorgeous. The drawing room and in-house bar are also lovely, really lovely to be in a really quality hotel in a central location, that didn't feel like a chain. And the girls on reception were just lovely, just the right amount of friendly and professional, quite rare to find polite and genuinely lovely reception staff like these. Thanks Hotel De Brett. Have stayed at this hotel before and decided to stay again, because loved the first experience. It is a small hotel, but one full on amenities. Staff are absolutely wonderful and always willing to help. The hotel is super clean and beds have clean and crispy white linens on every single day. "Recommended!"
A very enjoyable experience, even though I was on a business trip. I found the calibre of staff, service and food (I only had the continental breakfast and room service soup once) to be excellent. I also found the room to be of a high standard, very detailed, and slightly quirky in its design, all little touches made it an easy room to stay in for two […] nights despite its fairly compact size. The lift was original (early 1900's?) and the decor was homely, inviting and comfortable. The cool little drawing room lounge was cute, although I didn't have the opportunity to sample the complimentrary 6.30pm drink which I would have liked to have tried! Whether your on holiday or on business, I recommend this hotel. I'm an interior designer by trade and I found it a great little boutique find!! Note that we are maybe a little too old and little too un-hip for their ideal client but... We had a great stay. Large & nicely furnished room. Sitting area downstairs with bedroom and bath upstairs. Beautiful hotel. Amazing location. Wonderful staff... But rooms are very VERY small and overpriced for what they are. Ridiculously so. If you've got the money, knock yourself out and enjoy it. Arrived with a sleepless 2YO, parked in a loading zone with numerous bags to repack thanks to a long drive and trying to kill the 2yo boredom. "Great central location with great service"
Excellent service from the moment we arrived. The car was sorted and we were escorted to the room and all available services explained to us. We were provided with umberellas when it rained, directions when we had no idea where to go and all the staff were so friendly and helpful. Lovely room with a fabulous bathroom and a really comfortable bed. A […] really chic hotel, cleverly designed, unusual but tasteful. Breakfast was delicious and a good variety of food on offer. The location was perfect to shop, sightsee and dine out. Lots of local pubs for a beer as well. We really apreciated the peace of the residents lounge which were were allowed to use after we checked out. A great final touch. What more could you want. I only stayed here for one night and absolutely loved this hotel. I arrived at midday, well before the stated check-in time, to find that my room was ready for me. The staff were friendly and very helpful - they talked me through all the facilities available at the hotel (I loved the complimentary pre-dinner cocktail in the Drawing Room).
