Tower Motel Long Beach - Long Beach

The room was very clean. We had to turn on the heat the evening we arrived and at first it smelled like urine, but eventually the smell subsided (or else we got used to it...). The bed was very comfortable. The room was quite small, but we only needed it to sleep in, so it was all right. The "check-in booth" was basically just that. A small enclosed […] area with a window. A little unpersonable. It was hard to hear through the window due to traffic. If it had been raining hard, we probably would have gotten wet. This is a VERY small motel. I think they only had about 10 rooms and the rooms are small as well. Not a lot of room to put suitcases. The surrounding neighborhood looked a little seedy. It was a good location to get to the race (Long Beach Grand Prix) though because you could just hop on the 714 and get right into downtown Long Beach. The Motel is only about a mile and a half from downtown. Overall I'd give it a 3-star rating. No amenities. No coffee. No iron. Very few channels on the TV. Pročitajte više

Inside the room was good, with all the standards. The neighborhood left VERY little to be desired. I prayed m car would still be there and in tack when I checked out

The Staff was helpful though difficult to understand. the room was a bit small but was extreamly well kept. it was clean and the bed was one of the best I have been on in a long time. the out side was very odd and you had to call the desk before you left to have them open the gate. The motel was very clean, conviante to downtown, and affordable. The bed was confatable and the bathroom was very spacious. I would recommend this motel to anyone. The outside is not much, and the neiborhood is somewhat queastionable. But the inside makes up for everything else.

The parking lot is a little cramped, but the hotel is nice for he low price.

Its not all that great on the outside but on the inside the room was nice and comfy. Good surrounding area

The Rooms are nice. I stayed there 3 times in the last 3 weeks (each stay was 3 or 4 days for nearby Job). Besides the neighborhood, the parking is tight. I have a full size truck and the place has a L shaped single lane one way drive thru parking. However, in the evening, they secure the exit gate adjacent to the questionable neighborhood. That's good […] and bad. If you have to leave late in the evening and your parked near the exit, your waking somebody up to open the exit gate. It would be ridiculous to negotiate driving in reverse in a single lane L shape route. (and if somebody is coming in while your trying to exit?) On the other hand, that situation never arose and the manager is quite attentive to everything! Lastlyl, you cant beat the price with a stick! The Tower Motel was in a central part of Long Beach, California which gave quick route to the highway and popular eateries in the area. The rooms were nice, clean, and spacious but the outside can use a makeover. If I have to stay there again.....I would... because now I know what to expect.

WILL NEVER STAY AGAIN bad part of town

This was a great price for Long Beach and close to all the area sights we wanted to see. Freeway was also easily accessible. But was very concerned when we drove through the neighborhood. The parking lot was a tight fit, but secured with a gate. Once we walked into the room, I was really surprised at how new, clean and comfortable it was. The staff […] did a great job of cleaning up every day and left us bottled water and cookies. Wi-fi and cable were always working, the bed was comfy and the shower hot. The room inside is pretty decent. If you just need a bed for yourself and one person. It works. The neighborhood looks sketchy but only because I'm not to familiar with the place. It's pretty close to everything. I would go back again, because the price is good for what you get.

The room was clean, well provisioned with fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, free wireless internet, and the bed was comfortable. I found the staff friendly & accommodating in every respect, and I was plied with 2 fresh bottles of water and cookies or other snack each day. The parkinglot is a little tight for other than compact cars. In fairness, the hotel […] is not located in the greatest part of town and there was a small noise problem two nights with a couple guests. That said, I felt comfortable and safe enough. I was a little worried reading some of the earlier reviws, but the hotel has obviously undergone some considerable internal renovations - it looks good. You certainly could not beat the price, which I confess was my first criteria. Hotel was what I expected for price. Walls could use some sound proofing and HBO didn't work, but I realyy wasn't expecting much.

We stayed at the tower motel for one night. The blankets had hair all over them (suposably freshly washed sheets) We asked managment nicly for new sheets and he accused us of putting it there and said we had to pay to get new sheets. He also rushed us to get out of our room... Bad customer service!

I booked the motel on the phone When we arrived at the premises I couldn't believe how deplorable and poor maintained the rooms were When trying to check-in which took forever, I encountered the colorful people in the surrounding area. I will start off with the location. the location was pretty bad. didn't like the surroundings at. It was in a bad neighborhood. With the hotel service.. it was not good. the guy at the front desk just kind of blew us off. he was just like.. heres ur key. The blankets had a funny smell like a vinegar. There is not politeness while talking face to face in the office.

This is an economically friendly hotel but the owners almost wanted to nickle and dime you to death for anything extra like a towel or change from a king bed to 2 queen beds.

We only booked motel to leave luggage for the day as came off cruise ship & flying out later that night. Motel is old, but room clean. Did not stay the night so unable to comment on service. Did not feel very safe in area. Bus at front door "Easy 1" to Long Beach shopping.

the room had a mirror but I dint need it, by the bed, on the wall. LOL also, it came with 2bottles of water and some snacks to eat. Location - Not the best, but security and service was great. Very Clean, close to convention center, shopping and restaueants. Started out with a c-, moved to b+

It would've been a decent, cheap motel if it did not have roaches. In one instance, the roach was on my bed, yuck!!!!

My stay at this hotel was not a good experance I should of had a king bed and i got a double The room was just big enough for the bed to fit Iwould have to say that it was not worth the money i spent on the room

terrible, never again

Room was newly remodeled and was comfortable. Location on PCH was in older area of Long Beach. Motel parking lot was very small an d hard to exit.

I needed somewhere to stay for a night whilst visiting friends in Long Beach. This was the cheapest i could find, reviews for this place arent great but mostly because of the area it is in. The motel itself from the outside looks like something out of a Alfred Hitchcock movie but the room was pretty nice. My room had a King Size bed, TV, Microwave, […] Fridge, Bathtub, Shower, Sink, AC, free Wifi and dresser. They even leave you a couple bottles of water and a pack of cookies. They had about 10 parking spaces, so not enough for all 16 rooms but i didnt have a problem getting a space. The area definately doesnt look like a place you should hang out but if you have a car you probably wont spend anytime on the surrounding streets. It's do-able if you just need somewhere to crash. The guy at the from window when my husband and I check in probably said about 5 words to us basically to ask for ID, not even a Hello. Be prepared to take a small car since the Parking is literally 4 steps Away from your door, and keep in mind those 4 steps is a pathway for other cars to squeeze by. The room itself was not that bad other than the smell […] of an old swap cooler and smoke. The bathroom shower curtain was moldy and looked like I had never been changed, but everything else was alright. Would most likely not stay here again unless dire necessity. I had a great stay at the Tower Motel. The bed was very comfortable! The area was a bit sketchy but as long as you dont walk around at night you will be fine. I would stay there again for sure!

The hotel itself was fine, the only problem is that we made a reservation for 4 adults and our room just had one king bed.

Unfourtianally The reservation were booked and paid by a third pary (a friend). We as the staying gust Ihad a difficult time getting into our room Pre paid with no refund remind you. The inside of the hotel was nice, but smelled overwhelmingly strong of air freshener. The hotel itself was located in a sketchy part of town and after being harassed by a hobo a little ways down the street we felt rather uncomfortable for the duration of our stay. I hate playing the "race" card, however this neighborhood was not suitable for two blonde […] haired, blue eyed, white girls. The staff was VERY friendly. The room was VERY clean. To protect your vehicle. Cameras and an Enclosed parking set my mind at ease. I wouldn't recommend taking a walk outside in the neighborhood. The neighborhood is industrial and not in one of the nicer area. I do recommend staying here - I felt safe and comfortable while there with my family.

A environ 25 km de LAX, ce motel ne paie pas de mine de l’extérieur, mais la propreté, le confort et l'état des chambres sont remarquables. Le gérant est serviable, ce qui ne gâche rien.

Ich bin nach einem 30 Stunden Flug um 3:15 in der Nacht eingetroffen. Dies hatte ich dem Hotelier mitgeteilt und bekam einen tag später (auch aufgrund der Zeitverschiebung) die Antwort, dass dies kein problem sei. und so war der verschlafene Hotelier auch in der nacht nicht der gesprächigste - aber freundlich war er und bemüht den Vorgang schnell aus […] der Welt zu schaffen - wahrscheinlich weil er auch wieder ins Bett wollte ;o) . Mut dem Wagen konnte man direkt vor dem ebenerdig gelegenen Eingang parken. Somit entfällt as Koffer schleppen über mehrere Etagen. Das Zimmer war -entgegen meiner ersten Erwartung- bis auf einen Duschvorhang, dessen Halteringe leicht rostig waren (nun ja - aber "so what"!) 100% sauber. Hier gibt es keinen Grund zu meckern. Sogar im Bad waren bis in die Ecken sauber (was ja selbst in gehobenen Hotels vorkommt). Abschließend sei gesagt, dass zwei kleine Flaschen Mineralwasser und eine Tüte Gebäck auf dem Nachttisch lagen und ich für rund 37 Euro auch das nächste Mal auf jeden Fall wieder hin fahren würde. This place is in a bad location and we didnt feel safe when we arrived. We didnt even check in. Cant say much else then that.
