Forsyth Park Inn - Savannah

I honestly cannot say enough good about our stay at the Forsyth Park Inn. We were greeted warmly upon our arrival a staff member reviewed the surrounding area, gave information about places to eat, things to see and do while we were in Savannah, she then escorted us to our room and showed us around. She let us know there were Appetizers offered in the […] evening and verified that the next days breakfast was acceptable to us. The inn sits on Forsyth Park and the porch faces the park and the fountain. Every night we stayed we sat on the porch with the other patrons and discussed what we had done and seen and made recommendations to one another. Staff always came out to make sure we were doing OK and to make sure we were enjoying our stay. A light dessert was offered later in the evening. Sweet tea, water, coffee and tea were always available. Our room was spacious with 14 foot high ceilings, a non working fireplace and a reasonable sized closet, a claw foot tub and marble floors were major features in our bathroom, the air conditioning worked well and our room faced a lovely courtyard with a large fountain. The Inn was about a mile walk to river street, but it was a very pleasant walk through the parks that dot Savannah's streets. The inn called various tours we were booked on and had their vans come and pick us up at the inn. When we return to Savannah we will definitely stay at the Forsyth Park Inn again. Pročitajte više

Couldn't fault our stay. We had the "small" room 8 but a fantastic open terrace overlooking garden more than compensated. Great evening hors d'oevres on the front terrace got the eveings off to a great start..

Enjoyable long weekend in a cozy and charming southern Inn! Location is amazing, just a few steeps from the Forsyth Park Fountain, which can actually be seen from the Inn's porch. The Forsyth was awesome. The food was great, the service was terrific. It is across the street from the park, and also just under a mile from the market. The ONLY thing I wasn't crazy about was that sounds echo throughout the house, but it's also very old, and to be expected. Still, you should definitely go.

This charming B&B is located just across the street from picturesque Forsyth Park in historic Savannah neighborhood. Downtown Savannah is within walking distance as well. The amenities and location of this sell its appeal. Those who enjoy a tasty breakfast and evening cocktail hour should definitely consider this venue.

We had never stayed at a Bed and Breakfast before, was very nice. Close to the park and in walking distance to the River Park Walk enjoyed our overnight stay,would recommend to travelers in the Savannah area.

I would have given the Forsyth Park Inn a perfect 5, but we did experience a problem with the room we had chosen the first night. We had chosen room #10. It was downstairs and very musty smelling. There was no privacy in the bathroom and the floors were so creaky, that my husband and I hated to walk across the floor in the middle of the night to go […] to the bathroom for fear of waking each other up. It was also extremely inconvenient to get our luggage in and out of that particular room. We had very noisy people above us and we changed rooms the next morning. The Forsyth Inn exceed out expectations in every way. Delicious breakfast every morning plus wine and snacks in the afternoons and coffee and dessert in the evenings - some days we didn't even have to bother finding a good spot for dinner! The Forsyth Inn is very charming. The building is quite old and needs some repair. The staff was wonderful and the breakfasts were good and plentiful. The complimentary evening snacks and desserts were great.

Right off the park on a corner lot sits the imposing mansion which is the Forsyth Park Inn. Wine and hors d'oeuvres are served 6-7pm in the parlor and guests assemble to chat. Breakfast is more than ample and sweets are out all night! Staff are gracious and warm. Rooms are impeccable. Only a bit of a walk to the riverfront.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Forsyth Park Inn. It was very well situated across from the park but I would definitely suggest renting a car during your stay. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this bed and breakfast ... you won't be disappointed!

We really enjoyed the breakfasts on the porch, the wine and hors d'oeuvres and bedtime snacks. The staff was very friendly and informative, very gracious and eager to make us feel welcome. The inn was in a perfect location,within easy walking distance to everything.

We had a great time at the Forsyth Park Inn. Jerry and staff were wonderful and the location and hotel is beautiful. We really enjoyed being in the verdant park area, but it is a bit of a hike to the "action" downtown if that is more your style.

One of the nice perks of staying at the Forsyth Park Inn is that it across from the street from the park and ita famous fountain. The green space serves well to buffer the sultry Savannah heat. Forsyth Park Inn was more than we expected. The concierge service was knowledgeable about the area and provided great places visit and eat. It was my wife and mines first year anniversary and we couldn't have asked for a more romantic place to stay.
