For the price it was good. Furnishings and fixtures are old, but the room was clean and that's all that counts. It was relativesly quiet even though it's just off a busy street. "Nice enough for the price and honest people"
A all nonsmoking property, but they do accept small dogs which is a requirement with me. I left my wallet full of money hidden in the room after checking out I realized my error and called. I am very happy to report I got it back with all the cash in it. That would not happen in all places. My only complaints are the breakfast really lacked and the […] bathroom had overhead light heaters but no other source of heat.. that was a very cold shower even with hot water. The room was overall clean and presentable. The first impression on going into the room was that it smelled clean, and though older, seemed in good shape. Though the location was downtown, it was quiet and not bad. When I showered in the stall (no tub, just a shower) and went to dry off, I noticed that some of the towels were stained. "Terrible hotel"
This place is a definitely not a place I would recommend. The lobby was not clean. The hotel furniture was old, the bed was leaning to one side and the room was not very clean. "Review of the Relax Inn, Pendelton Oregon"
A few days ago my wife and I had arrived at the Pendleton, Relax Inn around 9 PM. The Inn was not full! The worst and the truly “unacceptable” issue was that despite the fact that we had paid for the room in advance the air conditioner had NOT been turned on. The temperature was well over 90* INSIDE the room, outside it was in the hundreds. A hotel […] trade magazine declared that the hotel was “newly remodeled” but we couldn’t see much evidence of it. Our room had a new toilet, a rusty sink and a rusting, warm (therefore unusable) refrigerator and very worn and stained furniture; the room was clean – as well as you can clean worn-out things. The “Continental Breakfast” was quite sad to look at --- we did take one of the 3 brown spotted bananas available. We will not be re-booking with the Relax Inn again and suggest you don’t either! "What a terrifying place!"
The room was tiny, there were no outlets in the bathroom, the door and walls could've benefitted from a fresh coat of paint, the sink counter was stained, the sink had severe damage to it as well as rust stains, and the AC was incredibly loud. "Super Price. Good Night's Sleep."
Very inexpensive. We really needed an inexpensive, good night's sleep. We stayed there twice - on our way to Portland, and on our return. We knew it was very basic, and this hotel fit the bill. "Will never go back"
The only positive thing I can say is the desk staff was nice and the neighborhood is good. The room was old and needs updating. There was no electrical outlet in the bathroom, the only one was in the main room behind the desk and no mirror so there wasn't a convenient way of blow drying hair. No fan in the bathroom. Housekeeping replaced towels and […] emptied the one and only wastebasket we had. They did NOT make the beds! The continental breakfast wasn't worth the walk down the stairs. The accommodations are not fancy or luxurious, the bathroom was rather minimal. The beds, however, were clean and quite comfortable. There was a table in the room, a microwave, a small refrigerator. Will not stay at this hotel again! Thin walls did not prevent hearing every word and movement of guests in neighboring rooms. No bathtub. "Not the greatest night's sleep."
My sheets had what looked to be blood stains on them, washed but still stained. Also there were holes in the sheets and bedspread. Also the heater did not have a thermostat to sense the appropriate temp and turn off, so it was on all the time and even on the low setting it pushed air around the room too hard. I turned it off at 2 AM and woke up at 6:45 […] and the temp had dropped drastically, so I turned it back on, but then the air was flowing around, bothering my breathing. "Old Motel - modernized - but still old"
I'm sure the room was clean, but we did not have enough cofidence to use the shower and I left without shaving as I couldn't get hot water in the sink after a minute or two. There realy was not a "continental breakfast" just a loaf ofcheap white bread, little baggels, andsome mini donuts that looked well aged, peanut butter jam milk andcold ceral, (corn […] flakes). The coffee was cold, although the manager madehalh afresh pot. the time was 8:30 am when I first went in forcoffee and a sweat roll (none available), had to return after packing truck for coffee. You get what you pay for. This very low cost, older facility is very clean and has good AC, fridge and microwave. But, that's where it stops. The bed and linens were clearly way past their prime. I have rags that are in better shape than the towels. Stained towels should be retired! Breakfast was a joke...peanut butter and jelly, and cold cereal?!? […] ! Adequate for passing through town overnight. Room was only stocked with one bath towel, despite reserving a room for two. No one was manning the front office at 6 am when we awoke to shower and resume travel. No ventilation in the room, window did not open, no air conditioning. The only good thing about this hotel was the friendliness of the front desk staff. The room was in a state of disrepair, for example no grout between tiles in the bathroom.
