The bedside tables in the room were dusty; the light switch was dirty; the bathroom door was dirty; the clock radio was plugged in and under the bed. Very clean, very courteous place. I tried rebooking for my stay in Jan.-Feb. and couldn't get a room again because they are booked up, but I would gladly stay here anytime I am in the Convington area. "Pet friendly getaway"
We enjoyed our stay. The fact that it's pet friendly makes it very nice for people traveling with dogs. The pet policy was a little strict on where they were not allowed though. This was my first time at this location and I will stay here again. The room was large and comfortable. The breakfast bar had a wonderful selection. The staff was very fiendly and helpfull. Nice room with lots of space. Kitchenette was handy for drinks and snacks. Breakfast was ok. The pool area was nice, but the pool was not cleaned frequent enough. We were completely pleased with the room. Looks to be new. Complete with Refrigerator, stove, microwave, dish washer, pots and pans. Bed was great. Breakfast was better than most. "Not a good Staybridge Suite"
I was very disappointed with this hotel. I have stayed at Staybridge Suites in TX, OK, PA, and MD. All were very clean and seemed well built. The Covington Staybridge was dirty and in some ways falling apart (at least the areas I saw). Dirty areas included countertops in the kitchen, the area in the shower, the carpet, and the couch. In the kitchen, […] tiles were falling apart around the baseboard. I should mention that the gentleman at the front desk was very pleasant, polite, and helpful. But, I think he was the only employee there and he seemed stretched thin. Overall, it seems as though this hotel is not being managed very well and I would avoid it until the hotel improves. As a final note, this is my first review of a hotel - I am leaving a review because I want to be able to trust Staybridge Suite as a clean option when traveling. Yes, I would recommend the hotel BUT watch your credit card carefully! The hotel was very clean and the continential breakfast offered in the morning is nice. This was my second time staying there and both times a new staff checked me in was in training, so it made that process more time consuming than it should be. Also, my credit card was charged […] for an amount that was almost eight times the cost of the stay AFTER I had already paid Expedia. When I called the hotel they indicated it was an accounting error and will reimburse but this was an extreme headache and makes me wary of staying there again.
