Stayed there during october 2012. Upgraded to a superior room. Friendly and helpful staff on the reception. Breakfast is very good. Cleanliness of the hotel is good and good bathroom, the rugs are a little dirty and there is some signs of wear on the ceilings and walls but nothing to worry about. The hotel is quite small starting from the lobby to the restaurant which has very limited items for breakfast. The rooms are roomy but the towels are horrible. They lost they colour white and turned into grey. I would suggest to bring your own towel.

Great Hotel, Great Staff, Great Services. No Car is Required if its decided to do shopping at Al-Hamra area. Al-Harma Street is always a busy street and full of activities (shopping, Restaurants, ... etc). therefore, if you are driving you may use the sea side road to reach the hotel faster.

The hotel is in a very congested area. The front desk staff were efficient. The restaurant staff were not welcoming at all. There was no acknowledgement of our presence for the breakfast buffet, no smile or greeting. Food itself was medium, not much choice for European breakfast. In all an ok place, would not go back there.

Hamra location is great and it's affordable. Breakfast could improve but hotel was very clean and well maintained regular. They even provide taxi to airport at a good rate.

We stayed at Coral Suites for a long weekend in March. All in all we were pleasantly surprised with the hotel - its in a great location, the hotel was smart and modern (lacked character) with a pretty good breakfast in a sunny room. The room itself was very nice, large, very comfortable bed, great shower, very clean etc. Our minor complaint would be […] that the air conditioning didn't work and on reporting this to the reception we were told that it worked, but in the winter would only set to heating! This made for quite a warm room in the Middle East in March! The street outside was fairly noisy with the window open but its actually quite a quiet street for that area of the city (which is very congested). The reception staff were polite but not very helpful, for example they wouldn't let us check in until 3pm. Would definitely recommend for a short break, great value if lacking in charm. We have a family of 6, so we had two rooms at the hotel. They weren't adjoining, and they didn't give us extra cots for the extra children in the room. They gave us baby-beds instead which were the size of normal pack 'n plays. As a result, this was not ideal for our children who are too large for them. The hotel is located in the heart of the city; very clean and good condition; very helpful staff. Avoid company taxis; they charge an arm and a leg; it is best to stop taxis on the street; you end up paying less than half.

We have travelled a lot and stayed at many hotels. Al Hamra was a very, very pleasant surprise for both of us. The reception upgraded our room. The hotel is very clean, modern, chic and friendly. We had people answering to our calls right away and someone would be at the door trying to help us with things such as the bed and thermostat. The in-room […] order menu was quick and very delicious. Two people that made our stay very pleasant was Mr. Ahmed and Miss. Heba (both at the restaurant). The rest of the staff were exceptional as well. The breakfast was world-class and nothing bad can be said about it. The hotel is a bit pricey, but worth every penny. The internet is very slow, but early in the morning it is ok. We loved out stay in centrally located Hamra and Coral Suites. We would go back here any day. We loved Lebanon and Coral Suites. Room's carpets are not clean.There is no clocks in the room to set it for wake up time and the desk people failed to wake up us not once but two times . They are not good in changing your currency. Ok so I arrive @ the hotel - n I must admit: It's charming! The best looking in all of Hamra (Amongst its grade). Good middle class hotel with location very close to Hamra shopping street. Located at back street. Srvice fine, however the cleaning and the service (mini bar refill, change of towels, bath ropes etc.) was not consistent. There are so many nice hotels in Beirut - find another one. The carpet and furniture in my room were stained, the shower was stained, the restaurant selection is very limited and the cook is bad. The only bar/lounge is in the restaurant and only serves "moctails". There is no real Western foods, the buffet was nice but not 4 star and you had to pay […] extra for a cappuccino. The location is behind Al Hamra Street and it is a dark walk back to the hotel. Al Hamra street is nothing special and quite disappointing; It felt like any other Middle Eastern country. It is not in walking distance to Downtown or Pigeon Rocks or anything else they mention. It is all taxis. Just disappointing. Upon arriving at the hotel we were met by very professional staff and were welcomed by a beautiful large room that oozed style and comfort. The hotel itself was so comfortable it was very easy to stay in and escape the heat that was hitting the streets of Beirut, which we did occasionally due to our late mornings home The breakfast was amazing if you […] made it up on time, but basically they had a breakfast menu and you could choose as many of the options that you would like from the menu. Our stay here was comfortable but we had some issues with one of the reception staff, he just didn't come across right and he lied to us which we didn't appreciate. On one occasion we came back to the hotel after a roadtrip and asked if they could look after us since we were loyal customers but they wouldn't knock a dime off and told us they would upgrade us. He also asked whether we wanted a smoking room or non and we said non smoking please. When we arrived at the room it was exactly the same style room we had before which was definaely NOT an upgrade and it reeked of cigarettes. We wanted to change rooms because of the smell and the manager came to see us and we asked her if the room we had been allocated was an upgrade and she told us no. Point of the story is that he deceived us and thats a big no no in my books, other than that our stay at coral suits was perfect.
