The Hotel is very well Located, veryu close to MRT. Two good malls nearby provide options for food. The rooms are clean and comfortable. I stayed in Executive room and they were quite large compared to other singapore hotel rooms. Breakfast is very good. Will surely stay in the hotel again.

Prior reviews are, for the most part, fair and accurate. Rooms are plain, but functional and had great window view from 10th floor. Pool is awesome. Breakfast ok. Prior comment on smelly room...it happens when you leave and take hotel card out of slot, leaving AC off. The room is spacious and the bed linens used are very nice just like in a 5 star hotel. The hotel offers free buffet breakfast : fresh fruits, salad, fried rice, sausages , eggs, meat,, Chinese dishes, cereals, juices, coffee, tea, milk, breads , and pastries . The location is really convenient, 5 minutes walk to the major subway station Dhoby Ghaut where you can catch CC,NE and NS lines and most attractions are only a few subway stops away. We (me, hubby, 2 kids) stayed here for 2 nites in a Family room. It was a very big n wide room, comfy beds, clean bathroom, a very nice view from my 9th floor to the city, the park and swimming pool. Its location is behind Park mall, just cross the street to Dhoby Ghuat. Its a 3 stars hotel, but looks like 4 to me.

Fort Canning Lodge ( and remember the Lodge bit because there is a hotel Fort Canning over the road ....much more expensive ) is the YWCA, but that doesn't change much, except the $S3 fee they add person to your bill for temporary membership. Rooms are great with full length windows and good views. Showers are good and the rooms are a good size, unlike […] MANY in Singapore. The buffet breakfast is great and many of the hotels don't offer breakfast. There is a self-service laundry in the hotel. The only negative is that the internet is good but $S26 / 24 hours by voucher from reception....or $S9 per hour. Of course there is MacD across the street in the mall. The location IS very central, once you work out that to get to the main street you turn left out of the hotel, left into the car-park after 100m, up the ramp to the Mall and take the elevator from 4th floor to 1st floor. Then across the street is MRT station Dhoby Gaunt. A day card costs $S20 for all buses and MRT, but $S10 is the plastic card deposit. So if you are leaving early, you need to get your deposit back the night before. You cannot buy Day cards in DG station, you have to go to City Hall which is one stop away. Across the road from the MRT entrance is the real part of the Mall, and in the basement you have every type of food you could want...so if you get in a bit late...worth a 5 minute walk. The staff were very helpfull and went out of their way to assist us. The room was clean and there was ample space. The location is excellent, a 5min walk to Doby Gaunt Subway and a 15 Min walk to Orchard Road. The Buffet breakfast was very good and provided at no extra cost. Would not hesitate to stay there in the future when visiting Singapore.

Hotel was clean and room was also clean and comfortable,front desk staff were curtious and answered any of our queries.Breakfast in the dining room was great,staff there were terrific and great variety of food.Location is excellent with a five minute walk to Orchid road and Train Station.

I have stayed in Fort Canning many times in the last 5 years and have always enjoyed my stay .In a good position for all the fun things to do in Singapore . I have only one compliant and that is no wifi I was surprized at that, being that Singapore is just modern . I will stay here again

It's a YWCA, and basically I felt like I was in a college dormitory. Overall if you know that's was you are getting it's fine but for what it is, it was way overpriced.

We spent 3 nights at Fort Canning Lodge while visiting Singapore on business. It is conviently located to an MRT stop - from which you can ge. t anywhere in the city. A mall with shopping and restaurants is also nearby. The price is also very reasonable for Singapore. Highly recommend!

When we first entered our room, the smell of sewer gas was apparent. We closed the bathroom door, and left the hotel to explore. The location of the hotel was perfect for walking on Orchard Road. In the middle of the night, we woke up to the sound of water dripping. We soon discovered that the air conditioner was leaking from the ceiling onto the desk. […] Since the phone in the room was not working, I went down to the desk to let the night manager know. Instead of moving us right away, we had to request a new room after the maintenance man brought a wet/dry vacuum into the room. At 2:30 AM, and three trips to the lobby, we were given a different room. We had to leave the hotel for the airport before breadfast was served, so we don't know about the food. It is a great hotel for a very reasonable price, the breakfast is especially good. Wifi is only in the lobby where there is minimal seating and is $5 SD per half hour plus tax!

Good, clean hotel in a handy location. Only comment would be to have blankets instead of quilts so that you could choose to turn off, or down the airconditioning overnight. The airconditioning was a bit noisy otherwise.

The hotel was very clean and staff very friendly and helpful. The location was a 2 minute walk from the subway system - the closest station was an interchange so from that station you could go in 4 different directions. Nice park and historical buildings across from the hotel which provide a nice place to go for a walk.

Due to Formular 1 racing weekend we struggled to find accommodation that was affordable but very much enjoyed our 2 nights here. The Hotel has a great pool and tennis court. Nice place and would come here again. Very conviniently located to a major metro station where 3 lines converge. Has its own laundrette so one can travel light, with fewer cloths. On minus side, the breakfast had very little for vgetarians, but then, that is so everywhere in Singapore.
