Great time ,excellent location,at a very interesting village,just by the castle. A beautiful lakeside path,easily accesible, allowes pleasant walks.The parking arrangements,though, are not entirely satisfactory,for its location is 400 metres away from the hotel.

the location of the hotel is amazing, the rooms are clean and lots of space we went in december...it was a bit quiet many of the restaurants and shops were closed, overall the hotels is very nice in a superb location, would recomend it to anyoane. True 4 star hotel!

A real gem of a hotel in the heart of spectucular SirmioneBooked hotel as a stop-off on way from Lake Como to Venice. Delighted with our choice. Fab room overlooking the harbour - room with a balcony / terrace which was well worth the extra cost. Highly recommened.

The food service was not good. They had things on the menu that were not available for some reason and the service was extremely slow. Head waiter was patronizing and impatient with you if you did not speak Italian well.

Booked the hotel because it was a good deal on Expedia and we were really happy with it. This is a lovely hotel. It benefits from an ideal location on the peninsular. Central to Sirmione, there is a pier to catch a boat nearby and everything else is also on the door step. From Pharmacy to late night shopping, including many restaurants and icecream parlours, take your pick! Our room was large with tall windows giving us a view accross Lake […] Garda and of the plaza below. It had air conditioning, Sat TV, safe and mini bar. The hotel staff were always courteous and helpful and although we couldn't speak any Italian, we were always attended to satisfactorily. The free car parking worked well once you get the hang of the barriers and travelling by car is more convenient than by boat. Watch out for the tunnels on the north west coast of the lake. They're not for the feint hearted dirver. If you take only one boat ride, do the peninsular tour (<€10/ person). Its done in a small boat and ends following the outer walls of the castle. We opted for a superior room & were very impressed. It was dual aspect with a small bacony overlooking the lake & ferry landing stage on one side & the other overlooking the busy square with interesting & various restaurants. Bar drinks at a very reasonable price. Just inside the walled town with lots of eating places to choose from makes B&B the best choice for adventurous eaters. Breakfast is very comprehensive although the fruit is from a tin. Overall an excellent location for exploring other lakeside resorts by ferry or, as we did, by car. Verona airport is only 40 mins away by car & is not too busy, being about the size of East Midlands airport & the Monarch flight we used was very good. This hotel is in a perfect location right next to the castle in Sirmione. Despite this we did not hear any noise during the night. Nearby there are loads of shops and restaurants with views of the lakes, and ferries to the other resorts around the lake. There was free wifi throughout the hotel which worked perfectly We had no problem getting sunbeds. […] The pool was lovely and warm to get into without shivering. Only a few negatives, there was lack of waiter service at the poolside, we think the hotel have missed a trick here as it was very difficult getting a drink at the poolside, other than the complimentary water. The balcony was of a good side but had horrible plants and concrete blocks which blocked our harbour view and discouraged us from sitting there. (see photo) However, the view was lovely when we stood up (again see photo) We had booked an executive room (because that was all that was available) but we don't know what we got extra for it because if you read Expedia's room description, they are all the same. The room next to ours had sun loungers, I don't know what room type that was. Just something to look out for when you are booking. However our room was of a good size and clean. The air conditioning took a while to kick in but it worked without too much noise. Hotel Sirmione is uniquely located in Sirmione on the lake with clean renovated rooms. The people of the hotel and the area around the lake are kind as opposed to Venice where the people are not very kind. We visited Italy and have been to Lago di Garda (Sirmione) and Venice from Cyprus during August 2012.

Mix up over rooms when we arrived which should have been resolved quicker and the staff, although very willing, were not always as efficient as they should be. However, the location is perfect and they serve an excellent breakfast. Drinks on the terrace over looking the Lake, wonderful.

my wife and i had a terrific holiday in sirimone , staying at the sirimone hotel which had the most perfect location you could ask for, we stayed there for 11 nites on a bed&breakfast basis. We booked a superior double room , shudder to think what the standard is like ! Complained about the appointment of the room in respect of its furnishings and fittings and was offered an equivalent but recently refurbed bedroom . The staff were most helpful in relation to the change of room and the hotel explained many of the rooms were in the process […] of being refurbished . However , even the newer room was not what I would expect of a 4 star superior double room . The hotel had an air of shabbiness and seemed to have seen better days and there was a distinct lack of staff in the breakfast and restaurant areas . Indeed , there was a lot of chaos and confusion at breakfast one morning which made it seem like Fawlty Towers . In conversation with another guest I found out that he had had the same experience with his room as we had . The pool is more of a paddling basin , and as the water is a constant temp of 35 * there is no chance of a refreshing dip . The hotel is not one I would ever wish to stay at again , the rooms are below par and the staffing levels too low to support 4 star service . If your expectations are limited then perhaps a one or two night stay may suffice otherwise there are more appealing options in Sirmione . We enjoyed our 2-night stay in this lovely hotel, where the staff are friendly and helpful and the food excellent. However, the first night was marred by very loud music at 2200 hrs onwards coming from a restaurant in the Piazza at the front of the hotel, which is allowed under Italian law until midnight. When we asked what could be done about this, […] the staff were very helpful and understanding and found us a quiet room at the back of the hotel for that night, so we did get to sleep after all, but having asked for a quiet room in our booking, it would have been better to have allocated that one to us in the first place! Un lungo week-end davvero piacevole a contatto con le comodità del centro di Sirmione. Arrivati già alla sera di giovedì abbiamo subito approfittato di un bagno in piscina termale all'aperto (a fine gennaio davvero impagabile) Inoltre la bellezza del lago direttamente visibile dalla camera, la cortesia del personale e dell'accoglienza , ci hanno fatto […] dimenticare all'istante lo stress Milanese. Bellissima la piccola zona della piscina con acqua termale che si può raggiungere direttamente in accappatoio dalla propria camera. Sarà stato il fatto della bassa stagione o forse le occasionali presenze di persone con "coupon" , nel complesso devo dire il livello della clientela un pò di basso proflio . Bellissimo e vicinissimo il centro acquaviva che offre servizi di alto livello e ambiente rilassante e raffinato.
