Hotel Aurelius - Rim

The hotel was very clean, the location whilst on the out skirts of Rome was great place to stay, access into Rome via the nearby Metro was easy and trouble free. Hotel staff were friendly and polite. All in all great hotel and Excellent value for money.

Hotel Aurelius was a wonderful place to stay in Rome. Renata and Gianfranco were wonderful at the front desk, and spoke very good English. There is no parking at the hotel. We had to pay 10 euros/day to park across a busy street from the hotel. The room was tiny and we could hear everything going on in the hallway. The shower did not drain very well. We had to keep turning off the shower to avoid standing in water. It is a short walk to the Metro. Ask at the front desk what exit to watch for when exiting the Metro. It will save you some steps. There are restaurants, stores, McDonalds, and even a Gelato stand nearby. We were on the second floor maybe 5 doors from the street, and it was peaceful. We were able to use our laptop at no charge just ask for a code at the front desk. They have a map of Rome at the front desk that was very helpful. My wife and I had a great stay at this hotel. The hotel accountant was very funny and gave us excellent info on restaurants and sites. The hotel was very clean, quiet and within easy walking to all sites of interest. Breakfast was very good.

The Aurelius hotel is a nice little hotel located just a short distance from the subway station. The staff was very nice and the room was clean although a bit small. The older gentleman at the desk was extremely friendly. The breakfast buffet was the best with so many choices. They have free WiFi, which is a plus.

Perfect location (near the Metro station and the Vatican). There are also some very useful places next to the hotel (great cafe, awesome gelato shop, a handy convinience store and even McDonald's). Great hotel. The staff was particularly helpful, especially Gianfranco. The only set back is the location, which is a metro train ride away from any of the sites. But the hotel is only a short walk from a metro station, which helps. Would definitely stay again.

We did not like the approach of some front desk personell asking for money to arrange bus trips. It seems some of them get a kickback. We don't believe this is good We did not ask them to arrange anything just inquired as to where was the buses located..

The rooms were great, bathrooms were very nice with heated towels on the ready. Breakfast was plentiful and we found the food to be of good quality. The rooms are smallish but perfectly acceptable and well appointed, the staff were excellent, it's some way out of the city centre but the metro is only a couple of minutes walk away and there are some excellent restaurants nearby. Much better value than staying in a city centre hotel.

Great Hotel for Italy - you normally get ok hotel for a lot of money, this was very good and reasonably priced. Good location to Cornelia underground station which easily gets you to all the major attractions. Reception staff could not have been more helpful and friendly with a very English.

Really friendly and customer oriented staff that can speak in English, Spanish and Italian (a major plus). The hotel is located really close to the Cornelia metro station (right around the corner). During my stay, I found the location very convenient, the metro station is just around the corner. The staff is incredibly knowledgable and friendly, they're ready to give any recommendation for your day out. Rome in October - good value, helpful staff and located within 5 minutes' walk of metro. Not many local restaurants, but two within walking distance were reasonable. Metro direct to important tourist sites, and 30 minutes' metro ride to Rome Termini from where to get the train to Fiumicino airport.

This is a great little hotel. The hotel Aurelius is about 3 minutes walk from the metro station, and a 20 minute ride to central Rome. The hotel is in a slightly shabby area that is basically a residential / commercial area. Despite that, it is still good value considering how much you would pay for an hotel in central Rome. The hotel is spotlessly clean and well maintained, the staff are superb and very helpful. We booked one of their small rooms with two twin beds, the room was indeed very small and the beds were only 2'6" wide. Which is smaller than a standard (3") single bed. The small rooms would be fine as long as you book the double bed. The fridge in the room was a very welcome addition.
