It was right off LA Rambla but was very secure at night. Great location for the day time to get anywhere around barcelona.

We found the hotel to be everything we needed for a great 4 night break. The location could not be better, very comfortable beds, very clean, and good selection of places to eat nearby. Great market just a short walk, amazing produce.

I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. It's really clean, the staff couldnt have been more helpful, the breakfast was good, it's stylish and modern, nothing is tired or jaded, it's in a perfect location for first time visitors to Barcelona as its only a 5 minute walk from the airport bus stop and the harbour.

Location location location. a block off rambles and quiet. the open air market is right behind the hotel. walking distance to all the central attractions and metro right across the street. cleanliness, quiet and nice stafff. i would get breakfast elsewhere, though.I would stay again

The room was clean and just as advertised, and the location could not be better - a stone's throw from the ramblas. The breakfast was lovely and everyone was very helpful - I would definitely recommend this hotel for its value for money.

I stayed with a friend in the Hisperia Ramblas February 8th - 11th 2013. It is in a great location, 30 seconds walk from La Ramblas and very quiet. The hotel's location, on a reasonably quiet street off the Rambla, cannot be beat. One can walk to so many interesting places in Barcelona that are nearby. The lobby is large for a hotel that is rather small, and the downstairs breakfast room is spacious and well-supplied with a variety of foods. Having stayed in several hotels in Europe, I am well aware that shower facilities can be quirky, but this shower was extremely difficult to control. First, The area osf the Hotel is bad in that the hotel requires you to buzz the attendant to get in because of the crime levels. The staff is excellent and helpful in most cases. We had a room on the top floor and could hear EVRYTHING being said and done in the stret below. WHen I asked to be moved to a quiet room, the night attendant asked me to ask […] the morning manager as she had no authority to change us. When I spoke to the manager the next morning, he claimed that "NO ONE HAD EVER COMPLAINED OF THE NOISE!" and would not change us as the rooms all front on that or the next street! With the windows closed, you could understand the people talking on the street due to the closeness of the buildings and every traffic noise kept us awake. The other matter was that they disengage the fan and cooling system in November until May! No choice. It was very humid when we arrived and there was no circulation! They would not do anything to help and had no fans. Opening the window did not provide any breeze! Very warm and uncomfortable! We spent 3 days in Barcelona coming back from our cruise.The location of the hotel is close to the cruise port, and only 5-10 minutes walk to bus for the airport. A very new, modern hotel. Small, only 5 floors which makes it very freindly. Very close to the Ramblas - less than one block away. Breakfast is not included and seemed pricey but it is adjacent to the city market where we went for breakfast having fresh fruits, bread and cheeses. Highly recommend!

our five day stay at hesperia ramblas was very enjoyable. its proximity to las ramblas and boqueria and the other touristy places in barcelona made it easy for us. the staff were friendly and would advice us when we had some questions. the rooms were very clean and modern.

Great location. Two minute walk to Las Ramblas, 10 minutes to waterfront. Very clean hotel, very friendly and helpful staff. Hesperia Ramblas was as the photos depicted. The staff was very courteous attentive and helpful. The location was 1 block off of La Ramblas so I imagine it was quieter than anything right there. There are always some sounds in the area as windows need to be open to cool the unfair conditioned room. The room was clean neat and comfortable.

The hotel is one block from the subway station and near the famous market. There is a wonderful bakery, Fornboix, just few meters from the hotel. Good location for everything. The hotel seems to be built recently but not well maintained.

Can't beat the location. Fair-sized room, relatively quiet given proximilty to La Rambla. Very good breakfast. Service at REception can be a little slow - one person can easily get overloaded.
