Generally convenient location close to train station, shopping and food outlet. Condition of room is not fantastic and toilet was choked and overflowed on our last night. Expected better rooms for the price charged.

Good place to stay for access to the city. We were there for the snow festival and based ourselves here. Like all cities in Japan everywhere is easy to access using the rail or subway. We had a great view over the railway and enjoyed our stay. Rom size was not huge but standard for Japan. We still felt comfortable in the room and the staff were friendly […] and helpful. "Hotel Aspen in Sapporo - close to JR station"
The Hotel Aspen has a 3* rating, but I would give it 3.5* for amenities and services. There is no room service, but there is a restaurant with both Western and Japanese selections on the menu. Breakfast on the 2nd floor also has a reasonable selection of both, with fried eggs cooked to order (though the scrambled eggs on the buffet line are powdered). The […] best thing about the Aspen is it's convenient location - just north east of JR station, which has shopping, movies, food, the JR train line (easiest access from New Chitose Airport) and the subway lines. There is imediate access to the subway underground (and underground shopping areas) just across the street from the hotel - very convenient in bad weather. For reasonable cost plus convenience, I highly recommend the hotel. The rooms are a bit larger than is typical in many Japanese hotels. For 2 of us, there was enough room for both our suitcases (often a problem). The beds are hard, that also seems to be typical, and no choice of pillows (also fairly hard, with buckwheat hulls on one side), but otherwise the room is very comfortable, and has a mini-fridge (not mini-bar), Internet is free if you have your own computer. The front desk is helpful (they did their best to help us find antique shops), many of the front desk staff speak English, and there is a small souvenir/convenience shop in the lobby. As a moderately-priced hotel, with easy access to the subways which can get you just about anywhere in Sapporo, it can't be beat. Pročitajte više

besides, it's also close to downtown sapporo, easy to reach any interesting sites most of tourists might go. yes, as being expected, the room is small but clean and tidy. worthwhile to stay and recommended to others
