Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach Resort & Spa - Clearwater Beach

This was a beautiful hotel and was near the beach but I would not consider it a resort hotel which I found disappointing. There was no pool near beach and the beach is public which is not a problem but I was looking for something that had more of a resort feel to it.

The beach is a PUBLIC CITY BEACH full of foul mouth smoking people. The hotel would advertise as their private beach with cabana service, but this is NOT TRUE. It's a city beach and you get riff raff of a Los Angeles pier here. NOT good for children and families. Hotel was busy-spring break in progress.Did not get any upgrade.Stayed in 2bdrm queen with sleeper sofa.Sleeper was very uncomfortable and room was dirty.Carpet very stained and my white socks quickly turned black.Ice machine did not work but concierge did send us 2bags of ice upon request.Refrigerator making sounds of death. Cleaning staff helpful […] but did not speak much english and did not do much cleaning.Ate in the Shore restaurant for breakfast each of the 4 night stay and 2 dinners.Staff was friendly but service was slow.Food was good but not as high level as in previous stays.Have stayed at this hotel once every 2 years for the last six and will not return.Regret to see such a high end property in decline. By far the best hotel in Clearwater. We had a two bedroom oceanfront suite. We were not disappointed. Beautiful view, large room, quiet and perfect spot for watching the sunset!

When we checked in, the offered us a complimentary upgrade to a 1 bedroom suite for our 5-night stay. I stayed with my girlfriend for 2 nights at the Hyatt. We were offered a free upgrade to a larger room with a great view of the pool and beach. The location was great with easy access to the pool, beach and places to eat and drink on Clearwater beach. The room had a kitchen and fridge and although we only used the fridge we thought this was a nice touch. The bed was comfy and had a great sleep. I was aware of the $16 a day parking and resort fee (from other reviews on this site) and must admit I still felt the resort fee / parking fees were harsh considering the amount we spent at the hotel (not including the room rate). However, we were aware of this and of course there were cheaper places to stay and as it was a special occasion we pushed the boat out. Hotel was very, very clean. Hotel staff were overwhelmingly nice and attentive. Pool area was beautiful but the tile was extremely slippery. It is expensive, especially with extras, but if you can splurge, it's worth it!

We had a lovely night at the Hyatt Regency Clearwater. The room & view were beautiful & we were able to walk to dinner at Frenchy's. the staff were pleasant & professional. My only complaint was the bed was too soft.

This was one of the nicest hotel experiences my family has ever had. From check-in to check-out, everything was very pleasant. We had a superb dinner in the restaurant, highly recommended. We reserved a one bedroom suite and were upgraded on arrival to a two bedroom suite. The views from the suite were stunning. We can't wait to go back.

We got upgraded to a 2 bedroom suite, and it was amazing. I wish we would have stayed a couple extra days. Right next to the beach and a bunch of restaurants. We will be coming back here soon!

The Hotel was beautiful, clean and had such nice staff. They treated my family and I like we were Royalty. Catered to our every needs, and supplied my kids with room service. I also love the location, and the views are breath taking. Will definitely stay here again.

We're hotel snobs on a budget and this hotel ROCKS! First class all the way! For the price we paid on Expedia - incredible! After walking the beach many times, I don't think there's a hotel with a better location. Don't let a "partial gulf view" room deter you. From our balcony we got a great gulf view! And we had an incredible view of the marina, too! […] (We were on the 17th floor, south side of the hotel, facing the pool.) Beautiful. I really enjoyed my stay here when I came to Clearwater for work. The Hyatt is definitely one of the 3 nicest hotels in Clearwater Beach. I would stay here again in a heartbeat if I could afford it without the company paying :) The only think I would want to be different is lower cost... Especially considering I was there in the off season, […] and the surrounding hotels are expensive for about 40% of the quality. I was so excited about the beautiful room, that I forgot to notice my balcony was right above SufStyle (a huge store) and I couldn't hear the waves over their AC. Loved the suite!. The family enjoyed the cabana by the pool and the lovely and spacious room. We wanted to stay an additional night, but the hotel was booked, and I can see why. We will be back again to enjoy the the remainder of the hotel. Poolside food was good. The hotel was conveniently located to the pier 60 and restaurants.

This location was AMAZING! The room was huge and beautiful, located literally across the street from the white sands of Clearwater Beach, and the service was amazing. At check-in we received a complimentary glass of champagne and valet parking. Much more than we expected, even with the reasonable pricing.

Besides all the extra fees charged at check out. We were very happy with our stay. The room was great. We wish it was on the beach so the kids didn't have to cross the street to the beach, but the beach was very nice.

The comfort at this Hyatt was indescribable. It was beyond amazing. It didn't hurt that Clearwater Beach is such a gorgeous destination. The staff at the hotel was so friendly and genuinely kind. The room is spacious and relaxing. It has all the amenities of a home! My family and I plan to go back here.
