This small Resort is a nice Getaway! Service is Good, Prices are reasonable. The Only set back was the Check-out it was very slow! Consider this Resort as 4 Star not 5 !

Despite the property being fairly a recent construction , signs of wear n tear are evident everywhere . Some that require immediate attention .. a few suhc as the bathroom floor corners that are chipped and getting murky , jets of the Whirlpool in the Spa , the time taken for services to reach the rooms . While having dinner at the Italian restaurant […] by the pool , since we were seated at a rather dim lit side of the restaurant , when we asked to be shifted , despite the restaurant being vacant more than 70% , the staff were like " wait sir we will have to check of there are empty tables available " . We had to ask our server thrice to bring in the breads n appetizers . The staff that serve guest by the pool should be ready with menus. Each time we called in for a service the staff would take off to get the food menu , return with that one and take off to get the beverages menu , return with that one , then to take our orders . very unnecessary i felt . after all that the food was still very basic and lacked flavor and value for money . Unfortunately i arrived quite late at the hotel on the day of check in. the check in was a very smooth process. also the reception employee was very supportive in the check out time. OK, so the Miramar Al Aqah was not built yesterday and could do with a lick of paint here and there. Calling it 5 star might be seen as a stretch. The hotel is expensive when compared to other hotels in the UAE, for what one got. It seemed a bit shabby in the outside - grass not cut, beach sun loungers had seen better days. The room's kettle had a European plug with no adapter and TV didn't work, but was repaired promptly. Beach is ok - not as beautiful as the pictures. Average stay.

We arrived around 6pm and first impressions were excellent but it went down rapidly! We were made to sit and wait almost an hour for check in (although reception desks were empty)! We were then escorted to our room and given a guided tour along the way! We choose to eat in the Italian Restaurant that night as it was highly recommended to us by friends […] who had previously visited, and it did not disappoint. In the morning we headed for the breakfast buffet and the Restaurant was packed with Russians and all the attention was focused on them, we couldn't get any sense out of any of the staff as they either didn't speak English or weren't interested as we were British! The Breakfast Buffet is limited in choice and clearly isn't 5* probably 2-3*. The pool area is superb but again was taken over by Russians! On the 2nd night we ate in the Restaurant (Buffet style) and again this was poor. We headed for the Beach Bar for a drink and Shisha after dinner and we waited over half an hour to get a drink as all the staff were concentrating on a table of approx 14 russian guests and clearly were after a tip! On returning back to our room we found a note under the door reminding us that check-out is at 12pm, we then had a message flash on the tv, and on the actual day as we were leaving the room at 11:40am we had another phone call in the room reminding us that check-out was at 12pm! My daughter was a little […] sick and the guest manager contacted a doctor and medicine was delivered to my room. Next morning I had a phone call from the manager asking news about my daughter. I also would like to emphasis the excellent work of Latifa at the kids club. Latifa do not just entertain kids she is very creative, has an enthusiastic personality and suggested activities for kids to increase their awareness about their environment. Excellent place, very neat and clean. Marvellous location. They do offer you a considerable choice of entertainment and restaurants (try the asian one!) But to avoid the bar and food brought into the rooms - the room service (although always polite) staff did not know exactly what they were serving and were confusing things.

Our first impressions of the hotel thankfully were overcome by an excellent location. The check-in process and delivery of our luggage was poor and disappointing. We arrived at 2pm and were greeted and seated in the lobby. We went through the check in process and then were advised that our room would be ready at 3pm, which was fine as we went and […] had lunch. At 3pm we returned to the reception and had to wait a further 15min for our room keys and an hour for our bags to be brought to our room. After phoning reception three times seeking out our luggage we were offered a late check out which didn't suit our stay. We asked to speak to the manager but was told they were not available. The hotel location is beautiful and this is what made it for us. Swimming in the beach was gorgeous. The hotel staff are friendly but seem to be over worked and there doesn't appear to be enough staff to service needs. Furniture particularly in the large reception welcome area is worn and tacky e.g. the lounge chairs we were taken to on arrival were torn. The staff was nice, but wow ... this hotel needs a lot of work. First we got into our room and it was not the room we reserved, this one had twin beds instead of a queen. The room also had some nasty dirty rugs in it that really needed a cleaning and overall, the room smelled really awful and was quite humid. We requested a move and got a room with […] no rugs but the place still smelled and the A/C wasn't working well so it was really humid. The walls need to be painted because they are dirty and scuffed up, also because the paint behind the night stands were actually flaking off and bubbling up. Also, spider webs and really dirty along the walls behind the bed and behind the night stands ... I wouldn't have noticed but I plugged something in behind the nightstand. The balcony wall was so high that when you sit down, you can't see over it, and the wood on the rail was flaking and splintery... the balcony wall in the first room was cracked. After taking a shower, since there is no curtain, the floor is flooded. We called the front desk because the A/C wasn't working and a mainenance man came and changed a filter and it started working right away ... why didn't they do that before we got into the room? The main pool was empty but it wasn't, it might have been nice. We asked the lady at the front desk to recommend something to do the next day, she recommended parasailing ... so we skipped a planned tour and went to book a parasailing trip then were told that the boat was broken. The one good thing was that the beach was nice. Don't stay here. Go to the Rotana or Le Meridien next door for better service and nicer rooms. This is not a 5-star hotel. Pročitajte više

We had to wait an hour and a half after we arrived at the hotel to get our room keys. The paperwork we had stated we had a 2pm check in time, however the hotel staff insisted check in was not until 3pm. As we waited we watched people come and check in after we did, get their keys, and get a tour of the hotel. The rooms were nice and clean. Fairly decent sized. Well stocked with towels. Mini bar lacked many things that were on their menu of items to be purchased. Biggest disappointments were the lack of pool bar and lack of covering for the kiddie pool. In this heat and sunshine the little ones should have adequate covering. The buffet breakfast was mediocore. Have had much better food in mall restaurants. Eggs were runny, everything was cold from sitting for so long. Check out was quite a hassle too. They had to go check the room prior to us leaving to see if we had taken anything from their over priced mini bar options. I will not be returning to the hotel. Hotellets umiddelbare løsning på rygning på ikke-ryger værelser er at spraye kunstig luftfrisker ud i lokalet. Vi fik -på trods af et fuldt booket hotel- skiftet vores værelse til et ikke-ryger værelse hvor der heller ikke havde været røget. Det nye værelse havde vi absolut ikke noget at sætte fingeren på. Prachtig resort voor een paar dagen. In de omgeving is niet echt veel doen dus voor mij niet geschikt om er langer dan 3 dagen te blijven. Maar verder is er op het resort zelf ook wel wat aan aktiviteiten te doen. Het enige wat ik miste was een simpele eetgelegenheid. Het was allemaal net iets te netjes.
