The Hotel Saint-Germain was a lovely place to stay. Above all, the staff was very helpful, friendly and accommodating. Put your belongings in the hotel safe and carry only what you must! And on inside pockets or Pac Safe backpacks or cross shoulder bags. They don't even give you soap or shampoo. Sheets aren't changed even though they say they've changed them. The rooms are the size of a king size bed so a queen takes up the entire room.

We recently stayed there for a very short 2 day layover in Paris. The location was okay and close to a lot of good resaurants but a good walk to the major tourist locations. The room was small, but clean. The bathroom was clean, but beyond tiny (which I understand is common for Paris). Breakfast included with room is basic - fruit, bread and yogurt. […] All was okay except for the staff. I am allergic to down and they wanted me to sleep without a pillow and comforter because they didn't want to look for one. I finaly got a feather-free pillow and comforter after I demanded it. Hotel well located in central location for major tourist attractions and in safe area with close metro station. Plenty of eating places nearby. This was our third visit to Paris and the best hotel yet. We would stay there again.

This hotel was amazing! The location was perfect and could walk to almost everything except Montmarte. The staff (Slim and Lawrence) were incredible and so helpful. Generally, very good. Convenient to the Metro on Blvd. St. Germain, within two blocks of the Bon Marche department store, within walking distance to Les Invalides and the Musee d'Orsay, in an upscale neighborhood on the Left Bank. The bathroom was located just inside the entry to the room. A heavy fire door was located between the sleeping area and the bathroom, making it a two-fold process to get to the bathroom. Also, the bathroom was quite tight and getting into the bathtub wasn't easy because of the tightness. Othwerwise, the room was nicely decorated and pretty comfortable, with two twin beds pushed together, a dresser, two small closets, a small desk and a reading chair. Hotel Saint Germain is first of all, very close to the metro, about 1 block away. On the same street and several blocks down you have shopping, cafes, and restaurants. There is a small grocery store literally across the street that we snacked at a lot (bought sandwhiches, pre-made salads, etc). This hotel is within walking distance to pretty much all of the attractions: notre dame cathedral, eiffel tower, st chappelle church, luxembourg gardens, louvre, museum d´orsay (8 min walk) & much much more. It was easy for us to walk though because we are in our early 20s and in excellent shape, otherwise DO ride the metro. I really want to give the hotel a five star rating. For the price, and understanding that this is Paris, this hotel is exceptional. The room was small (which we expected) however it was very nicely decorated and clean. The lift was small (and not for the faint of heart) but again, worked well and it was most welcome after a day of sight seeing not to […] have to climb to the 5th floor. We were there during the heat wave this summer. Very hot and sticky. For the 8 days we were there, 5 were spent without air conditioning as the units in many of the rooms were broken. They did provide a fan. It was very uncomfortable and they were very apologetic. We made the best of it. Even once the unit was fixed, it still wasn't very powerful. This needs to be upgraded/addressed. When we go back, we will phone ahead to ensure that there is air conditioning because I could not go through that again! And we will go back. All but one of the staff were wonderful. Very helpful and friendly. They provided ice on request and were very helpful pointing out restaurants and other attractions. The breakfast in the morning remained the same throughout the stay, but was plentiful and well done. They made arrangements for a car to the airport when asked..... all in all I found the people to be wonderful and the true stars of this accommodation. Clean, friendly and well priced... a real gem! Don't be put off by the modest outer appearance of the hotel. We went on a combination of business and pleasure and it worked well for both. Close to the metro station and all the ambiance of the left bank with great cafes and the Seine all within easy walking distance - even the Eiffel Tower, Les Invalides, and more. Staff went out of their way to […] help us...the hotel felt like home away from home. It is off a major road (Boulevard St Germain), so there's no traffic noise (which can be an issue in Paris). We brought the champagne, they happily arranged to chill it, and then served it with their champagne glasses. Hotel rooms are typically small for Paris, but the beds and decor were lovely and bathrooms have the shower with tub, which is really key when you want to soak your feet after a long day of pounding pavements. Breakfast was typical Euro: breads/rolls, cheese, yoghurt, coffee or cafe au lait, juices, cereals, and condiments. 24/7 access to a Nespresso machine in the lobby and to the kitchen, so no need for a minibar. What I especially appreciated was the layout of the lobby and breakfast/living room areas - lots of little nooks so when I had to have a 6 - hour client meeting, we were able to have an alcove to ourselves with total privacy. The only problem was that the hotel air conditioning unit broke down so that meant the top floor (where we were) had no air con, for 3 nights, until able to be moved. Ugh! Pročitajte više
