You'd think the most important meal of the day would also be the more cared about meal. You'd be wrong. From the moment I opened the first buffet dish,... I knew I'd end up making my own waffle and opting for a yogurt. Hot items consisted of: biscuits and gravy (a southern thing... in MAINE), a cheap Jimmy Dean sausage knockoff that was more fat than meat, hash brown potato made into a patty (dry and cake-like) and eggs that had been standing too long or poured from a box. Their fruit selection was: honeydew melon. Yes, just one item. Yogurt parfaits were an option - my wife enjoyed hers. I opted for a pre-packaged Stonyfield yogurt which was not cold enough and didn't taste as fresh as I would expect. Coffee had 5 options: Hot Water (tea), Decaf, House, House, House. Shelf stable creamers were the only option along with sugar. The cereal selection was typical: Cheerios, Frosted Flakes and Raisin Bran. Overall, with the quality I experienced through the rest of the hotel, I was let down at Breakfast (right before checkout at that!).
