Very romantic stay for our 5 year anniversary! Nice clean comfy will stay over and over again.

Overall it was good. The condition of the furnishings in the sunrise wing were good. It was the condition of the wing itself that did not scream Omni to me it screamed motel room.. but the view was awesome so it made up for it in view and the pools and food were great

The Omni still has kinks to work out from the renovation. The pool area and beach are beautiful and the rooms are fine. However, the service is terrible with the exception of the check in/out staff. We ate at two restaurants and couldn't get service. Had to ask multiple times for drinks, menus and silverware when there were plenty of staff on hand and […] not many guests. I left the pool after 30 minutes of waiting to place a drink order and observed other guests having similar issues. Some of the lights are out around the walkways and pool so be careful walking around at night. And note that you have to pay to sit in the beach chairs, about $60 for two chairs and an umbrella (ritz does not charge). Overall I enjoyed the setting but if I stayed again, I would eat off site. Room wasn't ready at 4pm, had to wait until 8pm before our room was ready!!! Will NEVER stay at this place again!!!! Very short staffed!!!! Front check on area has a mad house!! Had to leave our luggage sitting out front for 4hrs!! No carts & no room!!!

It's our fourth visit to Amelia Island plantation for Easter weekend and have always had a wonderful stay- which is why we returned. It's time, however, they are horribly understaffed, our room was not ready for two hours after we arrived due to a housekeeping staff shortage. There is near round the clock construction. Our daily housekeeping doesn't […] occur til after 4pm and has been subpar. For the money we are spending per night, this is unacceptable. Hopefully Omni will get its act together soon...the renovations are gorgeous and we would certainly like to return but may wait until they are running smoothly. We stayed in the old section away from remodeling noise. Our room was quiet and quite relaxing. The staff was very attentive and responded quickly., The two times we had snacks and one time a dinner, the food was sufficiently hot, nicely prepared, and delicious. We rent a golf course the first day and toured all the golf courses and some of the neighborhoods. We visited Ferendina Island several times, found a wonderful Mexican Restaurant, Pablos, but favorite of all was the The Grill, Omni's new signature restaurant. Their Grand Opening was the weekend before and they were still getting some of the kinks out - the 4's were due to television problems (during Big10 bb!) and delayed check-in. There is still a lot of construction happening, but we knew that when we booked - surprised they would be doing so much on a Sunday though. Went to hotel while under renovations. Considering the fact that the hotel was under renovations it was a relaxing stay with staff that were kind and helpful.

Construction noise every day, including Sunday. No sleep from 7:00a.m. each morning. You can easily hear door slamming every time someone leaves or enters their room as well as rolling luggage. Charged for services I did not use, but they were removed from my bill.

We chose this resort hotel exclusively based on location, and knew nothing about it prior to checking in. The room was fine, although not spectacular. The ocean view was breathtaking. In spite of the on-going construction project all over the place, even making it difficult to find the front entrance, this was a delightful place to stay. The staff at the hotel, restaurants, golf course, in fact everywhere, could not have been more accommodating. The breakfast buffet was simply awesome!

Lots of construction going on at the hotel. As a result no pool-had to make due with 3 miles of beach. Overall a very nice place to stay with the potential to be great when the construction ends.

For a 4-star hotel, it wasn't worth it. The breakfast buffet didn't' happen and waited an hour for an omelet with sausage that was hard to cut with a hack-saw. Hotel under construction. Ended up walking a 1/4 mile to car in lot down the road because parking was unbelievably poor. Ate at the Verandah on first night. I would have enjoyed it more if I could have found parking close to the hotel, and not hike down a dirt road to get to the hotel. Valet parking should have been a gift under the circumstances (construction!!) The room refrigerator was impossible to use. Nice place. Lots of construction but we knew that going in -- staff was great. Parking a little challenging but again we knew that coming in. Only complaint is prices are pretty steep for drinks, 20% automatic gratuity on meals, etc.. Overall though a great experience. We will go back likely after construction is complete.

Horrible experience. Renovation and construction going on within 15 feet of our room with terrible noise at 7:00am. No Pool! No Parking! Staff was nice but they couldn't do anything either! I just should have been warned or notified about this prior to our arrival and I would have made other hotel arrangements

Did not like barking dogs on the beach and the hotel room we stayed in, carpet was dirty and stained and room had an odor. The bottom floor rooms were to be used for pets only but we had been told by some of the staff that they have seen animals on the other floors as well. There is no were on their web page that says that this hotel is pet friendly […] and did not know until we arrived. The whole island beaches is pet friendly so be aware of that if you are visiting. We enjoyed the hotel and all the accomidations that they made since the pool at the hotel was being renovated, CONSTRUCTION STARTED EVERY MORNING BETWEEM 5:30AM AND 7AM, and only had the beach to swim in. They did allow us to be transported to another pool near by. It was a a good accomindation but was not the same as walking out of your hotel into […] the pool area. The plantation it self was beautiful. We could not even tell that a tropical storm had blew through two weeks prior to us arriving. When I booked the hotel it would have been a BIG consideration and I would have liked to know the pool issue and construction was going on. The hotel was excellent and the service and staff were superb. The construction contributed to the pool being closed and our car being filthy from being parked by the valet. The bed was uncomfortable, but we are spoiled by out Tempurpedic.

I can't say that I would recommend the Omni at this time. They are undergoing major reconstruction on the grounds of the main building and it impacts the overall environment. I'm not a fan of the price point of the on-site dining and for-a-fee amenities, but overall, the Omni is a nice option for those who prefer east coast beaches.

The hotel would have been perfect, but with the complete renovation going on till 2013, there's no pool, parking is awful, and the construction sites/ equipment ruins the ambiance. The room was ok. The view was beautiful from the balcony. I'd recommend going after their done with renovations!
