Crystal Palms Beach Resort - Treasure Island

Got a great price and got a GREAT suite. This all suite hotel features things as a full kitchen with stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops, remote controlled ceiling fans, flat panel tvs in all rooms and LOTS of space. The only problems I have with this place is its location. Treasure Island is OLD Florida. Lots and lots of old Mom and […] Pop style Motel/Apartments line the beach front side of the main strip leaving places like the Crystal Palms to be across the street (the main strip, Gulf Blvd, seemed a bit loud from our suite--couldn't sleep with the sliding glass doors open). It was a 5-10 minutes walk to a very, very wide beach. The beach is very clean (no trash, sea weed etc.) and maintained well. For what we paid to stay here I was shocked at the luxury we received. CAN NOT BEAT THE VALUE! Wish they could pick this place up and move it to a better location. If you like OLD Florida and you don't mind walking a bit to the beach then don't look any further than the Crystal Palms Beach Resort in Treasure Island FL. Pročitajte više

Very clean well equipped hotel suite with easy access to all Treasure Island has to offer!! Staff friendly and acommodating! Shame no roll out beds available - 1 member of our party had to sleep on the sofa!! Pool rather small but very welcome and not too busy whilst we were there!! All in all a great find at reasonable cost - thank you!!

My husband and son and I stayed for 8 nights at the Crystal Palms. Overall - extremely good value and perfect for families (we had a two bedroom suite). The decor is lovely and updated. There were only two issues during the stay. 1. - the microwave turntable didn't turn (not the end of the world) and 2. - apparently the remotes for the ceiling fans […] work through walls - this resulted in the light in the fan coming on in both our room and our son's in the middle of the night (this was very unfortunate as it woke both us and our son up on more than one occasion (I mentioned this to the front desk and was told that the hotel was aware of the issue...then they should fix it or inform guests). Nice resort and nice service...did feel a little misled by the resort site because from the pictures I thought it was actually on the beach and not that you had to cross the street to get the beach...otherwise it was lovely.

Our family was extremely delighted with our stay. We had a two bedroom suite. We could not believe our eyes when we saw how spacious, beautifully decorated and clean it was. It had all kitchen appliances and also a washer and dryer. The pool is very nice and the kids had a great time using it. Stayed with my husband and toddler from 7/26-8/3. Had an issue the first 3 nights with garbage being thrown onto our balcony and asked to be moved, since we could not use the balcony and that is all my 2 year old wanted to do. Heather, the manager was great and since they were completely booked up, she moved us from a one bedroom to a two bedroom. That […] was really nice of them, since a two bedroom was more costly. Also, we had a canceled flight and got in a day later and was refunded for the first night. I appreciated the service and the hotel was awesome. Only complaint was the maid service. I had to ask for extra toilet paper and paper towels. The front desk also had their comments about the maid service, so it seems this is an ongoing thing. If you stay there, you will be very happy, just be prepared for the room ceiling fans to turn their lights on by themselves in the middle of the night. For some reason, when another room turns one on, it triggers others throughout the building. The staff knows and just laughs about it. If I had to choose a location again, I would choose Clearwater. The beaches are nicer, but there is very little to do around all this area. It is a stepped up and much cleaner Jersey Shore type area, with a lot of surf shops and ice cream shops. Pročitajte više

Fantastic resort, high quality and fully furnished suites with full kitchens. Not directly on the beach but this suited us fine and you only needed to cross the road to get to the beach. Across the street from the beach, but easy access. Great room - tons of space with 2 bedrooms, 1 1/2 baths, kitchen, living room, dining area. Washer/dryer in the room convenient for drying wet bathing suits. 3 flatscreen tvs, a nice balcony, and pool area with plenty of shade. Even had covered parking. The beach area is terrific.

We did have one problem with this hotel: At 2:00 a.m. the fire alarm went off because the battery died. When my hubby went down to the front desk they didn't think that it was a big deal because "it happens all the time." They could not understand why my hubby was upset and said, "they can't foresee when this will happen". We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. However, it is not right on the beach. So please do not expect a beachfront room.

The picture do not do this hotel justice. When my girlfriend and I walked in to our room we were amazed. Every room is a suite. So you have a full size kitchen with everything you need (except cooking spray). There is an eating area, living room even a wine rack. There are two 32 inch TVs (one if the living room and one in the bedroom). There is even […] a walk in closet in the bedroom. There was a half bath a soon as you entered off the kitchen and a full bath in the bedroom. Every room has a balcony that faces water. However the hotel is not directly on the water, but there is a beach access directly across the street. There are only 4 complaints I have about the (which are very minimal and should not affect your decision to stay here): 1. All the one bedroom suites are on the second floor, so no water view :-( 2. The shower was very weak and there was no bench in the shower for ladies to shave there legs 3. The balconies were not very private, you could probably see into at least 2 or 3 other balconies from yours and every can see your from the pool. 4. This hotel should be directly on the gulf side. It is located on the marina side however theres is a beach access point DIRECTLY across from the hotel at 117th ave. Stayed a couple of days in September,check 9/28/10 review.Booked this stay for three weeks 6/10/11 thru 7/01/11,this should tell all ! I will be back,don't feel there is any better.Only complaint would be that if you want to book for more than a week or on weekends then you better book way in advance,no trouble Sun,- Thur.

We were thrilled with the space -- more like an apartment than a hotel room. It was wonderful to have such a spacious kitchen too, and the view of the beach from the sixth floor was awesome! I had two kids with me and it was perfect. We all had our "space."

Wow, these rooms are amazing and even include a washer and dryer! The location to the beach is so-so but we overlooked it due to the fantastic room.

We have stayed in many resort/hotel. We were highly satisfied with this hotel. For what you get the price is good. The accomodations were great. We were upgraded to a 2 bedroom 2 bath room. The only down side was the walk to the beach. I will be returning again. You even get daily maid service. My wife and I stayed her for 5 nights and found it to be an excellent, clean resort with an excellent location for the Beach and other shops/restaurants. Our two bedroom apartment was absolutely amazing. So spacious and very well laid out with a marvelous balcony with a view of the sea. There is a reasonably sized swimming pool and hot tub with ample […] sunbeds. One or two previous reviewers on TripAdvisor have correctly pointed out that it is not strictly a beach resort. This is true but a huge beach is just across the road with easy access. The resort is around a 10-15 minute walk to other restaurants and shops with a reasonable number to choose from. We would particularly recommend the Middle Grounds Grill and the VIP Lounge and Restaurant for places to eat. From what we could see, Crystal Palms seemed to be the best choice in the area. It is relatively small and intimate compared to a larger chain hotel but I can't see anyone being disappointed with any aspect of this resort. Pročitajte više

We had a great 2 br, 2 bath, full kitchen room. Very nice and updated. Even stacked washer/dryer which came in handy. Very easy to walk for breakfast, shopping and to the beach. Would stay there again.

I selected Crystal Palms above the other available hotels/resorts in the area because of the overwhelming amount of positive reviews about the place. Well, they weren't wrong! We stayed on the 6th floor at this hotel and it was great. The ocean view was spetacular, the front desk staff were personable and the cleaning staff were awesome. The condo was perfect for us because I could cook, do laundry and relax on the balcony. There are many restaurants to choose from if you do not like to cook and if you like to pick shells this area is ideal. Hotel is across the street from thje beach on Treasure Island. I was on the 2fl you could not see the beach from there maybe from the 6th floor. We were very pleased with our stay. We suprised our friends and their children with a night here and everyone was more than happy with the rooms as well as the pool. We loved looking out our window to see the beach and the water. We hope to stay here again the next time we are in town.

The Crystal Palms is not right on the beach, but it has a great view of the ocean. It is conveniently located to restaurants and shopping. The rooms are spacious and well-furnished. The pool area and rooms are very clean. Very nice and helpful staff.

Stayed at the hotel for two weeks. Excellent hotel, had a great holiday.

This hotel was fabulous. We were skeptical at first when we drove up because I originally thought the hotel was directly on the beach and not across the street. Once we checked in the staff was great and helpful. They ended up giving us a room on the 5th floor!!! Wow, great views of the ocean. Hotel rooms were very spacious and clean. The hotel is not directly on the beach but a short walk to the entrance to the beach.

What a wonderful place. The rooms are big and beautiful furniture. 2 yes 2 balconies. I think it should be rated a 4 1/2 star. Staff was great to deal with.. We went for one night and stayed 2. I will be back !!!! And the beach is just across the street.

Actually did not stay at the Crystal Palms Beach Resort. We had reservations to but when we got there the hotel was not located on the ocean front as we thought from the on-line booking. The management staff was awesome and promptly moved us to a room that was ocean front and accomodating to the 10 guests we had traveling in our party. The Sunset Vistas […] was phenomenal!! Service was amazing and the hotel was located 40 steps from the Gulf. We had beautiful views and were all in one suite versus two rooms we had booked.
