Overall very good. Just a couple of minor hipcups - room not ready at 3pm check in time; Cupboard door needing adjusting, and ill-fitting latch on slider door. Staff very friendly. Great shower. Room smaller than looked in the photo but very comfortable. Great location.

very average, Hotel needs another makeover. Lifts are very old, very slow, and make huge clunking noises all day and night. The noise reverberates through the rooms. Our room had lights missing and light fittings falling out of the ceiling. Foyer is so small the morning check out crowds cannot fit. Staff are reasonable the building is not.

Convenient, clean, quality commensurate with the price.. Because it was downtown, there was street noise even at night, but we closed the windows, which helped....although no air conditioning. For the price, I feel satisfied with our choice.

Chifley Suites was a big disappointment. The 2 bedroom suite we had with 3 people was small, especially the bedrooms, one could hardly walk around the bed. This was much smaller than any picture on their website indicates. Also the room was not very clean with mold on the blinds and a lot of dust in some places. The furniture was the cheapest of its […] kind and hence almost fell apart when touching it. We stayed for 2 nights but except for emptying the waste bin, no cleaning was done and no towels were replaced. We only had a day in Auckland and wanted to head out to the island, so this hotel location was great as we can walk to the wharf and also close location to some shopping. The only complain is the noise at night from the streets. There was a drunk crowd singing loudly in the streets that night. Aside from that, pretty satisfied with our stay.

Great location, great hotel, high standard of cleanliness. Also very pleased with the rate. Travelling as a single female and got an upgrade to a 2-bedroom unit upon arrival without asking! Was so spacious! Highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again. Have already been recommending it to friends!

It's a clean, well appointed and comfortable apartment with all the facilities and in a great location. Unfortunately we had a problem with the washing machine/dryer which could have been handled a little better. Overall we were very happy with our stay.

Very convenient location to City main shopping Skytower and harbour. Stay was in general good and room and room facilities as expected. Friday and Saturday night sleep was interrupted by patrons of the nightclubs located at rear of the apartments

Not happy at all. 3pm check in ended up around 4pm not good as I had requested an early check in if poss. Booking was made and paid for in Jan. Staying on the 4th of May. Asked for two suites side by side as there was eight guests. Reception person does not know what a greeting is, no how to smile. Also wanted me to pay for suites AGAIN told room not […] serviced at 15.45hrs, suites were on different floors, no help or instructions with card for elevator, Reception do NOT answer house phone. Asked for a TAXI Van and that was not suitable had to get 2 taxi's from company reception gent wanted to use. No telephone books in room, 3 teabags, and 1 sugar in other suite for 4 people. Just not good enough. No apology, no compensation - nothing. BEST PART - the night doorman - smiled, pleasent, and wished us sweet dreams. This man deserves a pat on the back for doing his job. Perfect location, great to have two bathrooms as there were four of us. The downside was the night club and screaming people below were extremely noisy..all night. It would have been helpful to have two key cards to the apartment.

More of an apartment, great location. Only negatives were that the wifi was spotty and there were only two elevators so often had to wait. The room was essentially a one-bed apartment, fully equipped so pretty convenient. The cable did not have that many choices, no american news stations. Otherwise a pretty good bet for your money.

Overall, the stay at Chifley's was comfortable and it's location that made all else seem minor. We had a ceiling light fall out in the kitchen, the door to the balcony not have working properly and a bathroom door not locking. We booked a room for 4 persons and were surprised that they did not want to provide us more than 1 access card per room which […] did not make it all so convenient to move in and out. I personally felt that 2cards per room would be normal. Great sized room for the price, awesome views. Great to have a seperate bedroom. Laundry , full fridge and oven included which you don't get in many places. Helpful staff. Blinds didn't block out the light very well and was a bit noisy being right in the city, but all in all, a great place to stay. Would recommend.

I booked this hotel as it was close to the centre of Auckland, looked clean and spacious and although the hotel lobby was small and fairly ordinary looking, the rooms themselves were very clean, modern and specious. It was very different to the look of the hotel at a glance, the only way I could describe it is that it's kind of like walking into Narnia. […] The beds were very comfortable and the room well stocked with teas, coffees and toiletries. The hotel was very close to the centre of auckland with less than a 5min walk to the busier streets with shops on them and probably a 15min or less walk to the harbour in Auckland so very good location. Excellent hotel in the centre of Auckland. Modern, clean, very comfortable and with cooking facilities and equipment. We stayed twice here on our holiday. The first time we were upgraded (by surprise) to a two bedroom apartment with views from the back of the hotel (offices, hotels etc. - but not too close) and the second time we had a one bedroom apartment […] looking over the bay area and up at the Skytower, which is very near.. Check-in was a disaster, computor down, had to wait 1hr in tiny reception area. Passage outside room dirty, never cleaned whole weekend. Our "serviced" apartment meant pulling the sheet up without even making the bed properly. It is a lovely suite but was expensive, so I expected better. Parking next door confusing, ended up with a parking fine!!!

Not an hotel - just a set of self catering apartments with absolutely no "hotel" facilities. "Hotel" lobby consists of a counter and two chairs and is generally congested with guests and luggage.Reasonable location close to the Quay, Queen Street shopping area and the Sky Tower, but the immediate neighbourhood is not very attractive.
