We loved everthing about our stay. Food was great with a great view of the Palm. We would have lilked to be a little further up, but the view was still wonderful from the second floor. "Overpriced to sit and overlook a building site"
This was booked at the last minute for myself and 3 young children to get away from the UK spring. We chose the hotel for the waterpark and kids facilities. While the waterpark was amazing we were very disappointed with the quality of the beaches and the fact that everywhere you looked, there was building work going on (not in the hotel but in the near […] vicinity). So lying on a sunlounger watching Dubai land reclamation was interesting from an engineering point of view but not what you expect from a luxury holiday. In addition, everything in the hotel from icecream to drinks to suncream was incredibly overpriced. £5 for a poolside ice lolly and £7.50 for a small frozen yoghurt. "Perfect family resort"
We spent one week at the Atlantis The Palm and had a fantastic stay. EVERYTHING was perfect and our two children (age 4 and 9) loved it. We did not feel anything was missing and we used most of the facilities. The Lost Chambers, Aquaventure and Dolphin Bay was so nice and the whole family loved it. Lots of nice restaurants at the hotel both family friendly […] and more upscale restaurants like NOBU and Ossiano which have an age policy of 10 years and above. The Nasimi Beach Club we did not try but if we were traveling without kids, that´s definitely a place we would have hung out as it looked so cool with lounge beds and DJ right on the beach.... The only thing to point out about this hotel is the size and the price. It is a very big resort but it did not bother me except from in the buffet restaurant Kaleindoscope where it was a long line every morning. The lobby area was quiet busy and noisy but not chaotic. Everything is expensive and if you are going to eat three meals a day at this hotel, then be prepared to spend a fortune. We went into the city for dinner/lunch a couple of times and it took about 20-30 minutes by taxi. Despite the size and the price I can absolutely recommend this hotel. We stayed there two nights, after spending 7 nights at the Westin - Marina and I can honestly say we had wished we were back at the Westin. After you see the aquarium and spend some time at the water park, the hotel did not offer much. "Lived up to my expectations"
From the minute we got out of the taxi we were treat like royalty. We booked a club imperial room and were met from the taxi by a concierge, who escorted us to a private check in room, served us refreshments and checked in 3 hours early. (We were allocated an ocean room view but requested an ocean to city view which they changed - no problem. We were […] then taken around the hotel where everything was explained us. There was a box of chocolates, and fruit, as well as everything you could need such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, shaving kit, nail file, comb etc etc etc. The Staff were always smiling and friendly and genuinely seemed to want to go out of their way to help in any way they could. They even came round the beach/pool with complimentary ice pops. The breakfast buffet was the biggest I have ever seen, catering for gluten free, Italian #Pizas# Chinese #noodles# Indian #curries) cold meat, cheese, fish, yoghurt, cereal, pastries, breads, etc etc etc. We did not eat at any of the dining options as we had the use of the Club Imperial lounge with all day snacks and refreshments. Afternoon tea at 3 - 5pm with sandwiches, snacks and warm scones/clotted cream and jam was lovely. Then 6 - 8pm canopies and alcohol, in abundance...this definately was sufficient for us and meant that we didn't have to eat in the restaurants as they all appeared to be very expensive. Beautiful hotel but a bit far from town. However courtsey shuttle buses to the mall made it convienent. Because it is a family oriented hotel with waterpark and aquarium, it is a bit hectic and noisy with the admission of outside guests. Property is beautiful. Service wonderful. Atlantis was my choice despite there was no room availability on one day and had to book a higher priced option for that day. Though initially they asked me to stay in the same lower priced room, they finally let me stay in the higher priced option for entire duration. ThanQ Atlantis. That being said Atlantis is a great option to stay. Superb location […] on Palm Islands, Aquaventure, Lost Chambers and my personal fav Ambassador Lagoon were all excellent and included with your stay. Dolphin Bay associated with the resort was expensive but a different experience all together. Beaches n pools were all neat n clean. But what I liked most was the themed concept of the hotel's interior design and ambassador lagoon. I would also like to thank the Hotels.com operator in the Ireland who patiently helped me book the Hotel and suggested various options one of which was very helpful. Very nice location for families with kids. I stayed for 5 days during 26th-31st of Jan 2013 with my wife and son of 3 years. The amenities the hotel offering is incredible. "Fantastic hotel"
I had a very enjoyable stay and the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is one of the best hotels I've stayed in,even though it was slightly expensive for food and drink you do get what you pay for. The only negative I have about the hotel is that you have to pay for wifi which I thought was a little extreme to say how much it costs […] to stay there,and all the other hotels we went to in Dubai had free Wifi. "Best hotel for family"
This hotel exceeded expectations in almost every way. We were jet lagged from MST in the US and were up several hours in the middle of the night. Usually room service is lethargic and unresponsive during this time, but this hotel was extremely quick at answering calls and attending to our requests. The person who checked us in happened to be the same […] person checking us out and she was exceptional in every way. In spite of checking in hundreds of guests between us, she remembered our names, room numbers, and special request. Sheryl was fantastic. The amenities at this hotel were exceptional too. But since this is a themed hotel, you can't really call them "amenities". The water park was so much fun for the kids as was the dolphin meeting. The restaurants were great too, especially the Lebanese and Italian ones. Some of the best Lebanese food I have had. Although the hotel was pricey it was well worth it, especially for Christmas. We loved this hotel. It has everything you could want and more. I had a migraine and I was admitted into their medical centre, saw the doctor and fixed my problem. "Great hotel where you pay for what you get!"
Great hotel for couples as well as families. The ability to be away from the busy parts of the hotel is possible as there are different beaches to choose from (where you would have to pay for a beach/food/bar area, which can be pricey). It is not close to the city given its location on the Palm, but that was also a positive as we had explored the city […] earlier in our trip. Would differently come back again! "Poor. Book some where else."
We payed so much money for this hotel and what a disappointment it was. Worth staying somewhere else and just visiting this place. Water park is poor. Only couple of rides. Would have been better not to go and go else where like wild wadi. They were charging us for the wifi Internet per 24 hours. How ridiculous is that. Not the cheapest hotel in Dubai, but worth every penny. All aspects of service were flawless, efficient and done with a smile from the staff member. Atlantis The Palm was an amazing experience all in its own league. From the moment we arrived the staff were extremely helpful, courteous and friendly. We were treated like kings and queens and nothing went by without someone ready and willing to assist with our every need. If you get the opportunity take up the option to upgrade to the 'Emperial Club' […] where an all inclusive deal is offered including free drinks and canapés on the 12 floor each afternoon, breakfast in any of the restaurants, all day snacks, a selection of newspapers, club lounge and personal services for various other services, as well as free admission to the Water Park and other attractions.
