We have arrived to the hotel early after our cruise around 9:30 am and frankly speaking we thought that we have chosen the wrong hotel after seeing the hotel's exterior. My stay was pleasant. I enjoyed this Artsy hotel and the room I was in overlooking the Bay. It was nice to walk around South Beach's busy areas and come back to this nice residential area. We only ordered room service once and sent the food back because the steak was too rare. However, it was quickly replaced and was tasty. The room was clean, although, […] there were a couple of times room cleaning service was not up to par. Examples, coffee pot not cleaned and restocked, kitchen utensil inventory not checked and restocked. Towels were clean but there was one that was left hanging on a hook for a few days. Cleaner should have replaced all towels even if we put it on a hook. They should have been changed every day like it was the first day, if you get my point. Also, water would run from the shower floor, through part of the rest of the bathroom floor. The guard to stop the water from leaving the shower area was not doing the trick. Hotel generally sacrifices comfort for design...A few complaints at this moderately expensive place: Had a two room balcony suite and the couch had obviously mismatched pillows on the back that were the seat cushions from ANOTHER couch; no chair at the vanity in the bedroom; holes in the lining of the bathrobe and in the sheets---on Saturday due to […] a large private party using one end of the pool deck we were unable to get a chaise at the pool. Staff was helpful and friendly but they can't address everything. I am now convinced after using several on-line services to book rooms at hotels all over the world that you generally get the lowest end room in the class you booked and this was no exception. "Bay view" means an obstructed view from your room between the buildings---not the same room on the side of the hotel actually FACING the bay. Having stayed at the hotel twice Id gotten used to a higher level of service. After booking thru hotels.com my experience wasn't as good. I was in a room that had a huge crack in the glass table, long rip in the sofa, a few small tiles missing in the bathroom (near the shower) and duct tape on the remote.

Had a two night stay in this hotel. Staff was very welcoming and nice. The room was clean with an awesome shower. My only complaint is the noise. Guests in hallway sound as if they are in your room. Overall, a great place to stay, short distance to Lincoln Road Mall. Quite a hike to the beach but well worth it.

Mondrian is still the best. I use it for both business and leisure travel. The Bayside location puts me right in the heart of south beach without having the heavy foot traffic of say Collins or Ocean. The rooms are cooler than me! Easy, comfortable furniture, contemporary without being cold. I'd recommend this to anyone, any time.

We experienced several issues during our stay, the most notable being an inoperable toilet in our room, which was on the PH level. Maintanence came twice (we had to wait for them to arrive in the middle of the night and again in the morning, anxious to hit the sun we had to wait) but the issue was not resolved. There were chicken bones from a room service tray scattered throughout the hallway when we checked in - and they were STILL THERE for us to step over near the door to our room throughout the duration of our stay. Poolside towel / chair concierge service was excellent, yet the food and bar pool wait staff was extremely poor. Several parties including ours complained of lack of service - we couldn't find anyone to order refreshments from at lunchtime on an 85 degree day. There are absolutely no vegetarian or vegan options on the resteraunt menus - very strange given the location and nature of the boutique atmosphere. Front desk staff was pretentious and unsympathetic to our non-functioning toilet. Everything was great except that my room was not cleaned when i arrived one day at 6 pm which is unacceptable. Location is great away from the crowded Ocean area but close to go stores and restaurants.

This hotel was very nice and modern. The biggest problem is that it is located quite far from the South Beach 'action' and beach- the water you see on the map is actually the bay. The Mondrian is starting to feel a little dated. Our room was damp smelling, with a small uncomfortable bed, though the lounge area was good. Asia de Cuba is worth a visit but I would prefer to stay at an alternative Miami hotel.

The hotel is very clean. The kitchenette, however, is very bare and you could hardly cook unless u bring your own pots, pans & other utensils. Definitely more suitable for adults then family with young children.

I stayed at this hotel for four nights purely for rest and relaxation. I will first compliment the hotel by saying the location was outstanding, the service was equally superb, and while I did not see the gym or spa, the pool was very, very nice and right on the Biscayne Bay. What disappointed me most was that the door to my room did absolutely nothing […] to block out noise from the hallway. I can't think of a time I ever heard anything through the walls, but the door might as well not have been there. There was no sound anywhere in my floor's hallway that I couldn't hear, most frustratingly of which was the maids going door to door offering housekeeping services in the morning. As I was there to sleep in and relax, this got old really quickly. There were a few other, very minor things (the rooms could have been furnished a little more, and there was really nothing to do in the hotel itself in terms of entertainment), but by and large, I was impressed with the room's comfort, the hotel's facilities, and the staff's service. My husband and I went here for our anniversary and we were totally in shock when we arrived. From the outside the hotel looks very nice and modern( even though the hotel name is not displayed anywhere on the building) but the rooms ( we had a one bedroom suite) were average at best. The music from the pool is blasting loud throughout the day well into the the evening. This hotel was awesome! The location was perfect (we did an overnight stay here before our Cruise). It was clean and bright and the customer service was pretty good. The valet service was a bit slow & you have no choice - you HAVE to valet, but just don't expect to get your car for about 10 minutes. All in all, we can't wait to go back.

Mondrian was awesome! We were in Miami on a girls weekend. We had unexpected attendees and the hotel upgraded us to a suite at no extra charge. The pool area was beautiful and the service and staff so amazing. Can't wait to go back with my husband next time.

Have stayed here at least 5 times. Very roomy, even the studio. All have a kitchenette, including coffee. Great design. Pool and restaurant very upscale. Can walk to Sobe, but would prob want to take cab back. Service excellent.

Superb hotel. The whole experience was posh, trendy, fashion and, yet warm and very comfortable. Amazing view to the bay with downtown Miami sunset in the afternoon. This is really what you may expect when visiting the trendy and fashionable South Beach. Highly recommendable

I was staying at the Mondrian Hotel South Beach, FL when the Northeast was hit by hurricane Sandy! The hotels front desk staff could not have been more accommodating! Also, the staff through out the hotel (restaurant, bar, housekeeping, pool area) were very friendly. The room was generous and the hotel was conveniently located.

From the bell man to the pool man we received a very warm welcome. Our room was very comfortable and chic. The pool area was cool and loungy with a beautiful view of the bay and sunset. Drink service was a little slow at times but overall good experience My massage in the spa was very enjoyable and relaxing
