Plim Plaza - Ocean City

Will never stay there nor recommend the Plim Plaza, it was nothing like the ads show, the rooms were musty/mold smelling. Moved me from a moldy room to a hole in the wall room. Only thing you could see was the feet of people on the deck. Felt like I was I a dungeon or jail cell. Worst night of my life

Take note to all the negative comments from the reviews of this hotel because they are all True. Bad odor in the entire hotel especially in the lobby and the hallways. Asked and was confirmed for a smoking room. Did not receive one. Room was very small for three people. No table to sit at. Toilet needed to be plunged. No view from room. My only problem was the room. Need to be modernized badly. Everything else was great. The pool, hot tub, and location was great. The room however has alot to be desired.

the other patrons of the hotel were rude, loud and obnoxious. we had a heard of buffalo in the room above us and had to call the front desk everyday to complain. we got no sleep on our "relaxing" vacation.

The location of this hotel was perfect! Stepped right onto the boardwalk either for early morning walks or leisurely strolls at night. The beach was directly in front of the hotel and it also had a fantastic pool with lovely scenery and a pool bar.

I stayed at this hotel years ago and was alittle worried it would be that "old Motel". I was happy to see alot had changed! I love the location, and the pool, and pool side bar is great! My room, however, had hot water running all the time in the tub, which is what I think gave the room the "musty" oder. Recently my family and I took a mini get away for 4 days and stayed at the Plim Plaza we had no where to park we had to park our cars 3 blocks away and walk back to the hotel to find out someone hit my car in the front and back, the beds were uncomfortable and one of the beds broke when my 10yr old sat on it and they didn't have another room so we had […] a broken bed for two nights, it is ran down and smells horrible, my spread had a large urine stain on it when I went to strip the bed before we went to bed, there was no microwave to heat up ur food, we just overall felt dirty and unsanitary in this hotel, some may say it is great for the price but that's no excuse cuz other hotels were relatively the same price or even a few dollars more but was not ran down like this one don't let the online pictures fool you, don't book this hotel it isn't worth your money. This hotel is absolutely horrible. First, the front desk person at check-in didn't even look me in the eye, no hello or anything, asked for my last name, then threw my keys on the desk. The hallways smelled horrible, they smelled of smoke and had a musty odor to them, which of course permeated into the rooms. The rooms are rather small, the carpets […] were filthy, my husband's socks were black as coal within 10 minutes of walking on them. The beds are horrible, as I sat on it, it sank in the middle and rolled me to the other side. The one wall only had the wallpaper covering the insulation and studs in the wall, the wall paper was held up by thumb tacks. In the bathroom, the shower leaked all over the floor, there was mold on the ceiling and around the baseboards. The room was so stuffy that if the air conditioning was turned off, it was extremely difficult to breathe. Plim Plaza is the only hotel my family stays in when visiting Ocean City, MD. The accommodations could use an upgrade, but at the beach, the hotel is of the least importance to me. Hotel did not want to honor reservation from hotels.com as stated. Room was very small. Bathroom was hot and the shower curtain sucked in and left almost no room to shower. I rated this as OK because the room we were in 453 looked like it hadn't been utilized in a lengthy time. The first night we were there the air conditioning didn't work and we didn't realize it until midnight because we were on the Boardwalk. It was MISERABLE. It didn't get fixed until the next day. The jets to the tub never did work but that wasn't […] a big weight on this opinion. One day we didn't leave the room until 11 AM and the room never did get cleaned as we checked out the following day. That left us with dirty towels though they were pleasant about giving us clean ones. The pool was FREEZING the first 2 days there but did warm up some the third day. The fourth day it was at least bearable. Pools do have options for warm water usually. The parking was TERRIBLE! I had to park two blacks away and my car had an attempt of a break in. The Plim Plaza's location is perfect, we stay here every year. On the plus side: great location, awesome pool, pool bar and live music! Rates are pretty low if you book through anywhere other than the hotel's site. Negatives: The rooms are small and I'd love to have bigger beds. Housekeeping merely made our beds and replaced the towels, they didn't […] "clean" anything. Parking is a challenge but works if you are patient enough to wait for someone to move. Hotels.com didn't offer all the dates I wanted and I cut my vacation short a day to avoid paying a lot more for the same room through the hotel. Its not high class luxury, but serves the purpose!!! This Hotel was right on the boardwalk close to amusement park and beach, and must see sights. The room was clean but we did not have a good view. Our last 2 evenings there we could hear alot of walking and jumping on the floor above us. No iron or ironing board avaliable. Otherwise this was a nice hotel.

this hotel was a mistake!! parking was a nightmare, staff was really annoyed when i checked in and lazy. my sideview room was of the concrete wall of hotel beside us. we had to prop window up with a hanger just to open the window! my daughter's bedroom was bigger than our room. not to mention it was "senior week" so we couldn't even take our daughter […] to the pool because of all the partying, and this partying went on almost all night. the hotel needs major maintenance!!!! dark dingy hallways and stinky smells.
