"Great, except..."
It was very satisfied with everything, except for the drain in the tub. It was not draining properly. I had notified a staff member and it wasn't fixed prior to the time I left. I hadn't explained the urgency in which I wanted this fixed, but I suppose I thought this was a given understanding that I would be shower with my feet in thousands of peoples […] filth. This prompted me to take the quickest showers possible. I would stay with you again, but take note, shower drains are a priority. "Cleanliness & Maintenance is poor...."
Beautiful hotel but cleanliness and maintenance is poor. To be a Marriot hotel, they need to improve this important part. Pillow was smelling so bad and hairs were seen everywhere. We stayed two days and the pool was never cleaned so my children couldn't use it (the water was oily and a lot of sleeves were in there!) Even if we notify these issues to […] the office, I consider they have to do things right and in an excellent manner for the customers so they don't have to complaint about these problems. "Nice hotel"
Very clean and nice hotel. The front desk staff was friendly. I wish hotels wouldn't jack up rates when a town has some major event, in this case being the Outback Bowl. This hotel was a nice place and it was located near the airport so shuttle trafic didn´t take long. The only things that was less good but had diffrent explainations was one elevator was broken and that is just temporary. Also that we had a morning flight and the breakfast wasn´t served until 7:30 even thought it was new years day so i can understand […] but still missed breakfast. For the most part this is a great place to stay, it is kept very clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Our only complaint is it is very loud. Both times we stayed there we came very close to complaining to the desk about the noise level of the rooms close by, especially late at night (midnight or later) and early morning (5:00am, loud enough […] to jar us awake) We understand it is convenient to the airpot and people are comeing and going at all hours, so if you are looking for quiet and relaxing this is not the right place to stay!! The hotel is located south of the airport. Although there is nothing within walking distance of the place, a short car ride will take you to the International Mall, Westshore Blvd. or Dale Mabry, where there are loads of shops and restaurants. We just spent 2 weeks there on a business trip. The rooms were nice and clean. The place is still new and nice, but the craftmanship is poor and they have wood trim arounf the bathtub. it wont' be long before the wear will show. The kitchenette was fully equipped with a large fridge. The beds and pillows were comfortable with a nice comforter. But the […] sheet were too small and stretched, they kept popping off. Location was a little out of the way for walking, but great for having a car. Everything seemed to be within 5 minutes of driving. Being a little out of the way made for nice quiet nights. The large pool was great for swimming laps and the on-site laundry with 3 sets of appliances was very convenient. They claim to have a continental breakfast, but that's just in case of an emergency. I've stayed at this Marriott property on several occasions; additionally I travel allot and stay in many properties. Whoever rated this property previously as a 2 should have their head examined. Our stay at the Marriott was great. The room we got had everything we needed. it was comfortable and in a convenient location by the freeway so we could hop on and off to get to where we wanted. I travel frequently in and out of Tampa airport and have never chosen this hotel for some reason. Now I am going to stay there every time. Very nice hotel. The fully stocked kitchen was the best part of the room. We were coming from a week at a condo and had some leftover food/drinks that we were able to store. I wasn't happy with the hotel the first time I came in, but I forgot the name of the hotel and booked again. My online request was for a king size bed but only asked for a room next to the elevator at time of check-in. I was given a room next to the elevator and was happy but when I walked into the room I found the a/c was off or set really high. Besides […] the warm room I found the queen bed and woke up with my feet hanging off! Room is okay with fridge and all but towels are what you would expect from a cheap hotel. Hotellet er ganske ok - men skal nok mest bare benyttes som et enkelt stop inden man drager videre. Vi havde en familieferie (4 personer) og brugte hotellet som afsæt til at se Tampa og omegn. Morgenmad bestod af færdig-pakker som man kunn tage med op på værelset - lidt kedeligt. Så efter min mening ikke velegnet til familier - mere til hurtig overnatning […] inden man drager videre.
