A friend and I had two superior rooms for three nights. The rooms (and in fact the entire hotel) smell bad, and the air con is largely ineffective. I was initially given a room that had clearly not been cleaned (some sort of oily material over the two counters in the room), while the bedding was of a very poor quality. The check in starts at 3pm and we were there at 2pm. Receptionist lady was very sweet and humble and gave us the remote, room keys, wifi password and breakfast coupons. The reception staff was fantastic. But restaurant team on level 1 could learn a thing or two from the reception. The rooms were done and made fresh on a daily basis. The TV didn't work. Given the age of the building, and the rate we paid, I can't fault the place too much.

Despite the great deal that we got for the room we were very disappointed in the Citin Pudu. There was no doubt that the location was very central and convenient, however, the hotel is not as nice and modern as it seems in the pictures. As I was only in KL for 2 days so just needed somewhere simple to stay but if I ever return to this city I would not stay in this hotel again. It's rather ugly, 12-storeys concrete block with very small rooms, decent bathrooms and slow & unhelpful staff. I would not recommend this place to anybody that cares about comfort and good service. The only thing I liked about this hotel was it’s central and convenient location.

I needed to stay one night in KL and wanted a cheap hotel that was fairly central. Citin Pudu is exactly this. I walked to the monorail (600-800 meters or so) twice and this was ok. The price is low, and the standard is fairly low. My aircon was in bad shape, the fan had a loud smattering sound, the aircon leaked water, and the on-off switch was wrongly […] wired (on meant off, and the other way around). The TV didn't work either, but I didn't care about that. The bathroom was adequate, approximately what I expeced in this price bracket. This is a low cost hotel and it shows, but the staff is quite helpful (they loaned me a power adapter so I could use the power outlets) and friendly (I was always greeted when I ran into one of the security staff in the hallways).
