Ashtree House Hotel - Paisley

What looked like a country hotel on the photo was actually in the very centre of Paisley when I arrived which suprised me. Nevertheless the Hotel was clean,comfortable & welcoming & obviously handy if you did want to wander out into the town. Very friendly owners & nice food, I had both breakfast & evening meal at the Hotel & would recommend.

This was a very friendly and welcoming hotel, perfect for a weekend trip to the Paisley area. I'd definitely consider staying here again if or when I return to the area.

Was the best place we have stayed in during month of holidays. Great location. Nice family owned business. Owner is very nice and great to talk to, makes you feel at home. Great freshly cooked breakfast every morning. Room was nice with a brand new bathroom. Recommend!

Stayed at this hotel whilst on business in the area. I'm told that all the rooms are different - the one I had looked like it had recently been decorated - new very high quality solid wood furnishings etc.. and a high spec luxury bathroom with fantastic shower! I didn't eat at the hotel in the evening but enjoyed a superb breakfast. Plus points for […] me were the quality of the room and the fantastic friendly attitude of all of the staff. The Ashtree House Hotel was the most WONDERFUL place to stay! We had never been to Scotland before as a family and all of the staff there treated us like we WERE family! The food and the service was TERRIFFIC and you can tell they ALL genuinely cared about you and your comfort while you were there! The room we had was VERY comfortable for the 4 of us […] and it was not only BEAUTIFUL and inviting, but we had a WONDERFUL view from the front AND back of our room! There is a lot of beauty and charm in the building AND the people and you will NOT be sorry that you stayed there. If we are blessed to ever go back, you can BET we will stay there AGAIN! We had a lovely big room which had a comfy bed and everything we needed. The owners were helpful in pointing us the direction of a very good restaurant for dinner. A nice breakfast.

Large room, nicely furnished. New, modern en-suite bath. The property is a magnificant 200 year old town house, full of charming architectural detail such as molded plaster ceilings and leather wainscoating. Half of the […] surrounding store fronts are vacant and the others are mostly thrift shops. Dinner was not offered (not a real restaraunt onsite) and options were limited. Located one block from the University of West Scotland, so the street noise on a Saturday night was a little loud. In the middle of a town that has a great history, but has seen better days, the Ashtree stands out as a friendly, comfortable family-run hotel with great food and offering a warm & welcoming stay. Great for o/n business stays, but also as a first base for exploring Scotland if you've just flown in at nearby Glasgow airport.

An excellent property with sizeable comfortable rooms with everything you need. The cooked breakfast was excellent as was the service all through the stay. Overall a definite if passing by again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

The hotel is in an old building and the exterior doesn't do justice to the quality inside. My room was a twin room, but was immaculate and well furnished. The service and food was excellent. Don't judge this hotel by it's outside. The room we had was enormous , very clean and comfortable especially the bed and you get a lovely gas fire and couch as well.
