The Palms has the greatest location however there are just NO beach . All space is used for their restaurant. We had a Deluxe Renovated Rooms and it was comfy, unless you are looking for the HILTON comfort you will be pleased. Yes the pool need to repainted but did'nt bother us. Yes Hotel runs out of Hot Water occasionnaly but it is back within the […] hour. Staff like anywhere else in Jamaica is slow, not smilling, but hey, thats their life style. twedsite look great but going there was differ,the bathroom need update with towel, bed sheet linen too. and also i have no hot water. disppointed with price there need to do better,

landscaping was beautiful but I knew this was a dump when I entered the lobby. this is a no-frills hotel for someone who just needs a roof over their head. The once white bed linen was dingy and grey and the blanket had stains on it. There was mildew in the bathroom sink. A/C did not work prpoerly. Hot water did not work in the shower. Good thing we […] were on the second floor because the balcony door was broken and could not be closed. I used a coat hanger to keep it closed. The bar had 10 different flavors of mojito but the drink was not available because they were out of mint. Things could have been better when we arrived. Wrong room. We moved everything to new room ourselves including refrigerator when finally got in our ground level room. Took a day and a half to get in the right room. No water pressure, air didn't work for two days. It took 3 days to get on the beach because we were told to wait in our room for changes […] and repairs to be made. When we got tired of waiting and reporting problems ,we left the room for an afternoon walk . When we returned we were told our room had been ready since morning. I had inquired earlier. Then we moved. No one told us it had been ready. Then the new room had the air problem and both had water pressure problems. Toilet wouldn't flush for a day. After I reached the right maintenance men, things began getting repaired. Things would have been great without the problems. Food was great. Location was good. Everyone was very nice. It just took 3 of our vacation days waiting in our room as we were told to do. I so wish it had been ready for us. It was a nice place. I would go back if I felt confident that we wouldn't run into these problems again. The office didn't mind telling us to wait on someone to come to our room. I was not happy doing this and it was extrememely stressful. A vacation should be relaxation from the time you arrive. I really hate that these things happened. All the staff couln't have been nicer. Reporting problems to mulitple people finally got action. I was so looking forward to staying there. Missed the umbrellas on the beach as seen in pictures. I hope things were getting in top shape. A lot of maintenance was going on when we checked out. So don't count this out. Remember there are no phones in the rooms and you have to rent refrigerators and locks for safes. Food a little on the high side dollarwise, but good. I know we were paying for a 3 Star Boutique Resort, but I was booking based on all I viewed and all the reviews. Never expected the problems. The hotel had a great central location on seven mile beach, lots of great places to eat all along the beach. The first room we were assigned was missing a mini safe and was in the unrennovated section of the hotel. Upon request we were assigned a ground floor room in the newer wing, which was lovely. Its a nice basic beach hotel with decent food and in a good location on the beach.

I would recommend it to others.

When I first arrived at this resort I was very disappointed. I got a standard room, facing the garden. While the bed was large and comfy; ALL I had was a bed in the middle of the room. No A/C, altho the large ceiling fan was more or less sufficient. There was a TV but I rarely watch TV while on vacation. Shower only, no tub. My biggest disappointment […] was that the room was very dark. I come to Jamacia for sunshine! I don't believe there are any rooms that face the beach. Some of the service staff was very unfriendly but there were a few others that were very nice (brought my pancakes to the beach or appetizers to my room). The beach area at this resort is VERY small; amongst the smallest on this stretch of beach. There are only 4 working unbrellas for shade and very limited lounge chairs. The best thing about this resort is the deck that faces the beach. They have plush lounge chairs and day beds with large cushions. Everything is in US Dollars (altho they will calculate the conversion for you). Food was INCREDIBLY expensive. And I was surprised to see the main entrees were all steak. Where's the jamacian food? Overall we had a pleasant stay and the food at the restaurant was very good. One of the 'salesmen' on the beach, that offered a snorkeling trip was a little bit too pushy but otherwise the atmosphere of the beach was very fun and casual. Our only real complaint was that we were told in advance by the hotel that there was an ocean view room available […] but when we arrived, there were none. The hotel staff were very friendly. The meal plan sucks, for the price they charge. The meal plan has too many restrictions. You are subjected to a few choises everyday. Also, they only give you one glass of wine with dinner. the hotel was nice, rooms were clean. the price for the stay was very reasonable, but if you didnt do all-inclusive, like me, each meal cost us about $30-$35, and that was just food alone, so it added up. I would definitely recommend doing all inclusive so you get your moneys worth. the staff was friendly and the beach was clean. one of the gentlemen […] on the staff would come around the beach seeing if anybody needed anything which was nice. Got less than what I paid for. No frills no thrills place. Could be much better with some TLC. Beachfront, pool/restaurant area of this property was quite pleasing though.

.........derfor virker det ikke til å ha midler for å opprettholde en viss standard. På rommet er det kun en seng, en gulvlampe, en ubrukelig kommode og et klesskap hvor det var en defekt liten safe. Låst dør til neste hotelrom hvor det sivet inn mariuana røyk. Bad med do og badekar hvor sluk ikke lot seg stenge. Så godt som tett dusjhode hvor det sporadisk […] kom vann og til tider lunket vann.Håndvask hvor vannet såvidt randt ut pga. tett vannlås. 3 sparelamper rett ut av vegg på sokkel uten skjerm. En plaststol totalt som stod ute på veranda. Positivt skal sies at jenta som redde opp senga hver dag la fine blomster på denne og hun gjorde så godt hun kunne og ble premiert siste avreise dag. Snakket med hun og takket for oss. Men tydelig ingen som hadde ansvar hvordan rommene tok seg ut eller fungerte. Maten var midt på treet ifh. til Jamaica , men lot til tider vente på seg , selv om det ikke var folk der. Personalet var hyggelige og gjorde det beste av situasjonen. Veldig trivelig vaktmester. Bassenget var det ingen som benyttet seg av ,da det var skittent og lakk som en sil. Manglet mye puss og maling og var ikke tiltalende. Reklamerte med Mohito i baren og jazz musikk en gang i uke, men dette eksisterte ikke på våres 14 dager. Det kom folk og lurte på hvor musikken var. Totalt var ferien fin, bortsett fra hotellet. Men halve stranden vest over var all inclusive og vannhullene der kunne ikke benyttes da det gikk security og passet på. Og så var det så mye mariuana langs stranda at en person på rehab hadde gått nedenom og hjem. Fint å oppleve jamaica med turer på land og vann. Kjempefint å snorkle. Uno posto splendido, dentro una foresta, dormi in camere/capanne costruite sugli alberi... Massima liberta', ti senti di ritornare alle origini.. Le camere anche se capanne sono molto confortevoli dotate di tutti i servizi e curate nei minimi dettagli... Se volete trascorrere una vacanza dentro un Eden .. Questo e' il posto giusto!! Salvo e Serena
