Hotel staff was wonderful. Inexpensive hotel room, but actually very nice place. Very convenient area for driving around and exploring Birmingham metro and proper areas.

I enjoyed staying at Microtel Inn and Suites. The only thing negative, is that they need a in-house restaurant of some kind and a more selective vending machines.

Hotel was nice, but was very hard to find since it sits at the end of a narrow cul-de-sac street. There are no hotel signs at the entrance of the street and the Jackson street sign is hard to see from the main road. Hotel.com should advise customers to turn left on the first street when customers see the American flag on the right side of the road or […] turn left when they approach a exercise gym business at the entrance to the street. My stay at the microtel was good. The rooms are small but beds were clean with very white sheets. The bathroom was clean as well. Dust was on the furniture not nothing overwhelming but it was there. The breakfast wasn't anything special just cereal boxes and some honey buns/muffins. It was an excellent stay. I had a rough night on the way to Birmingham ( I blew a tire on I 20 and didn't get to the hotel till late). They were so very nice - gave me a late check out even though I hadn't thought to ask.! I stay there every time I come to Birmingham...I come to town often...

Only reason it got a 4 was the bed was extremely firm. When I say extremely I mean like sleeping on concrete. Everything else was perfect!

I loved the room but it was alittle dusty by the room divider and on the desk. I thought check out time was noon but when I checked in, I found out it was 11. Hotel info needs to be updated to reflect that. Overall the service, location, room size and amenities were great! I will stay here again when I come back to Birmingham.

Whn checked in clerk told me that he put my on the top floor in the back away from noise. This statement was innaccurate, street noisealso black out curtins let in light disturbing rest. Room was extremly small and marginal on cleaniness.

When entering the hotel, we were greated w/ a pleasant guest services rep. She smiled, she wad knowledgeable of the,surroundings. Expedia rep told me the shopping area was in walking distance, which it Was far from it lol but the guest services rep gave me exact directions.

I had read some of the previous reviews, but was a little disappointed in the cleanliness of the room. The carpet, although I am sure vacuumed, really should have been replaced in my room as should the window seat (I was in a small room with one single queen bed). There were spots on the carpet that looked red in color - ketchup spill or some sort of […] sauce or .... The window seat just looked dirty and I would not have wanted to sit on it. There was some dust on the desk - so I wiped it down with a wet washcloth. Everything else looked okay. Oh, and if you are a person who likes ice - make sure to stay on the 1st or 3rd floor - only 2 ice machines in the building. Bed was fine, service was fine, was glad to be able to have cereal/juice in the morning. I only stayed one night as I moved to another hotel where a meeting I was attending was being held, but because I was arriving a day early I wanted a cheaper option that provided a free breakfast. Also, if you call for directions, ask for a close landmark so you know where to turn as this location is located on a busy 5-6 lane road and is set back off the street - I passed it and had to turn around and come back. This hotel is very clean and nice inside. the bed was very comfortable with lots of pillows! The only problem we had was not enough ventilation in the bathroom. We would stay here again.

My stay was ok. The location was perfect. The hotel room was very clean. The only bad thing is the walls are sooo very thin. I could here the neighbors water running. I thought the walls would cave in while they were bathing. The walls were creeping throughout the night. I could hear everything that went on. I didn't get a good night sleep at all.

The people that work at this hotel are extremely friendly and very helpful! This was my first time staying at a Microtel hotel. I wasn't expecting the rooms to be so small. Overall, pretty good stay. :)

My stay was very nice! The staff had great customer service and the hotel was clean and quite comfortable. It was only a five to seven minute drive from the big shopping areas such as The Galleria and Patton Creek. I will most definitely use this hotel again!

It was a clean room, clean shower and clean bed. The "standard" room was a little small. But then again, we used it only to sleep and shower. So in that sense, it had more than what we needed. The furniture was not "top quality" but it served its purpose. For example, the chair on the desk was not a rolling secretary chair, but rather a stationary dining […] chair.
