St. Johns Suites - Jacksonville

The hotel is in a decent location, right off 9A and Atlantic, so it is easy to get around. Unfortunately, the neighborhood just to the North of the hotel is pretty questionable. The hotel was undergoing conversion to a Holiday Inn while we were staying there, so the carpet in our room was wet (had just been steam cleaned that morning), and the carpet […] in the stairwell had been completely ripped out. Overall our stay at the hotel was enjoyable until I checked my credit card statement. It turns out that even though we booked through and paid Hotels.com, this hotel charged us again for the nights we stayed. My wife called to correct this, and was put on hold or cut off three times before finally getting to the bottom of this and finding out the reason for the double charging. The staff didn't seem too flustered by this, so I doubt it is a rare thing. Check your statement after staying here. Pročitajte više

The hotel is easy to find, and easy to get to other locations around Jacksonville and the beaches. The staff was friendly and accommodating, the hotel and rooms were clean and attractive. Breakfast was much better than I had expected. There were only 2 drawbacks: there was no clock anywhere, and the pillows were small, lumpy, very soft. . .really uncomfortable! […] Otherwise great couple of nights! A beautiful presentation. Nice place to stay at a reasonable price when I booked it at Hotels.com.

Third time we stayed there, and it's still a very good quality hotel for the price. Surrounding neighborhood is not glamorous, yet this place is above average. Good breakfast and clean rooms.

Comfortable bed. Breakfast & amenities kind of skimpy. Like 2 towels & 1 washcloth and shmpoo in a 1 use pouch. Otherwise good for what we spent per night.

We booked this hotel for my daughter's graduation from UNF. Everything was great. Room was clean, sheets were clean, Pillows, however, were a bit uncomfortably but all in all it was nice. Very satisfied with my stay at the St. John's suites. While the surrounding area may leave a little to be desired, once inside, the comforts and quality of the hotel are obvious. Staff was very helpful, including giving me a late check out. Rooms were clean, pool was beautiful, and the price was right. Would definitely stay at again.

The hotel was a great deal. We had a 6 person suite, there was on cleanliness issue and it was dealt with promptly. The breakfast is as everyone has mentioned, carbs, but there was fresh fruit and Kashi cereal. For the price, it was a great stay. Our family also enjoyed the swimming pool a few times. Very clean and a nice place to stay.

stay was ok but if there more then two people you will not have towels.we went and bought four new ones and two were gone the next day. i hate a thift.

This is a nice place, a bit hard to find, but otherwise I would recommend it. Show was odd. Shower curtain to high up, so water was everywhere to clean up and shower head was chest high, so had to duck down to rinse off. That's it for issue's. I would stay again for a short stay.

when we got to our room or ac didn't work, so instead of inconveniencing us by moving us to another room they inconvenienced us by having two maintenance men come up and take about a holf hour and change it out. either somoone outside is growing weed or the people in an adjacent room was really relaxed. and the last night i thought maybe there was a […] gym above us because of all of the stomping around but in the morning i found that was not the case. Most was pretty good. However room had no soap or tissue. Breakfast had no waffles due to someone not ordering the mix.

The only 2 good things I can say about this hotel are that the price was ok and it was close to the poker room.

I do my share of traveling. Its rare these days to find a nice, clean hotel with a friendly staff. This hotel did not disappoint! It has large, clean rooms at a very reasonable rate. I will stay here every time I'm in Jacksonville!!! BOOK WITHOUT WORRY!!

Me and my husband were relocated there and were very impressed with the room! The layout was like a apartment very spacious and clean, the bathroom came with a stand up shower and whirlpool...I would definitely recommend the hotel. It was conveniently located on southside blvd with restaurants and the movie theater

....and this one was better than most. We just stayed one day, but it was clean, comfortable and had very personable front desk staff. Our one call to front desk to request extra towels was swiftly responded to. I would go back here again!

on hotel.com the pic of the room i purchase (the king suite) had a picture of a jacuzzi in it.....so i booked it....once arriving found out that it did not....desk clerk said that the had that problem a lot with hotel.com and that they had asked them to fixed the picture on that one title.....overall was still nice room for price i paid just disapointed […] about the confusion but not really there fault all though since they knew about the error i think they should have offered to upgrade up or give us a discount or something!! oh well Pročitajte više

I didn't think this hotel was going to be as nice as it was for the price I paid. The customer service was excellent, which is a big deal for me. The only problem I had is that our AC broke. We called the front desk and the maintenance guy came immediately and exchanged it for a new one. The staff is super friendly...it's a little off of the beaten path but located right off of Atlantic Blvd so you're close to shopping and only about 20 min or so to the beach. Nothing wrong with this place - great value for money and friendly staff

Location is about the only good thing about this hotel. There was a long line at checkin since the clerk had decided to take a break. When we entered our room, we noticed a musty odor and also large red and brown stains on the carpet. There was a burn stain on the toilet seat. Quite perturbed, I turned back the bed covers and noticed couple of hair […] on the sheets! We noticed couple of bugs around the place too. The pillows were lumpy and the towels were threadbare and rough to the touch. The blankets were very thin so we called and asked for additional blankets and were told that they did not have any more! We were given additional sheets instead, which looked like curtain material. The pull out couch did not have linen, so we had to call and have that delivered. Since this was a one night stay en route to Fort Lauderdale and since it was quite late, I did not ask for a room change - I doubt anything would have been done! The hotel has definitely seen better days. For a quick one night stay it is reasonably priced and is located next to 295. However it is definitely not a place I will EVER visit again. The hotel was decent for the price I paid. I wish their was more options for the free breakfast. Overall the staff was friendly and it was easy to find the beach from the hotel.

If you have a family of four, you must request additional towels for more than 2 guests, upon arrival. Don't wait until the morning, there won't be any left!

We rented the room because it would sleep six people with a sofa bed. We get to the room and sofa bed did not have linens, had to use flat sheet from other two beds. We had one hand towel and one wash cloth, No towels. No soap of any kind. The next day when we came back to room after 4pm our room had not been cleaned, garbage not emptyed and still no […] towels. I was pleasantly surprised with the accommodations. Not only were the rooms available at a very low price, especially around the holidays but it was very nice. I've stayed at this hotel twice now, and will continue to do so. Both times the staff was courteous and the room was clean. Location is great, very close to everything.

It was okay. The staff was not as friendly as others. They forgot to call me for a wake up call. The breakfast was sub-par. They promoted pancakes big time and the pancake machine was broken. Met all of my expectations and exceeded them.

The hotel was very nice and the room was clean and spacious. The Carpet had some red stains which looked like they were from red wine, so they could be replaced. The pool was clean and well taken care of, I just prefer a heated pool as the Florida sun doesn't keep the pools as warm as everyone thinks.

We stayed at St. Johns Suites for a recent group trip to Alahmbra in Jacksonville. The price was great and location perfect. Just five minutes away. We stopped for the night traveling from Mississippi to St Augustine! My threww requirements were doors open to inside continental breakfast an a gym! It had all three! We felt safe an it was clean!!!

Our four night stay at this property was quite pleasant. Obviously the property is in transition from association with one major chain to another major chain. The property is relatively new based on appearances. With the room rates obtained through Hotels.com, I would rank this as one of the best hotel bargains I have experienced recently.

I was a little concerned because we got the price so cheap, but it was awesome! No microwave or coffee maker in the room, but there was access to both on the first floor. The room was very spacious and made the week very comfortable for 4 of us in one room (1 adult, 2 teenagers and a 3 year old). House keeping was very polite and very nice!
