Room is small and simple but a nice room that I would stay in again. First, if someone is classy and looking for perks of a 4-star, this is not the room for you. On the other hand, the hotel is close to a metro stop, in a good neighborhood, and is clean. We were able to walk to The Vatican, Piazza Cavour, and even Piazza Navona (maybe a 2-3 mile walk […] each way but you get to check out the neighborhoods). Loved the hotel! So pretty! Had everything you would need including Internet and a tv. Staff were lovely and it was cleaned every day. In the most perfect location in an amazing city. Really enjoyed my stay and if I was to go back to Rome I would stay here again no question!

This is a good hotel with quite good location close to the Vatican (about 10-12 minutes walking). The best value of the Hotel is the manager, a man came from Manila and settled down in Italy about twenty years ago as he told us. Rooms are a little bit old. When we checked in the receptionist gave us a wrong room for the first night (we came very late […] so there was nobody to change the room for us), but the next morning we met with the manager and he fixed everything perfectly with great attitude. The Hotel presented to us a nice bottle of Italian wine and a cake to celebrate Christmas! The hotel's customer service is excellent. The staff helped me and friend to carry the HEAVY baggages and very polite with warm welcome. The breakfast provided some warm dishes in addition to breads. I booked online for the main hotel but apparently they have an Annex & we got stuck there! It was awful but since it was just 1 night we stayed! I booked this hotel for location & free parking. Well since we had to stay at the "Annex" there was no parking so we had to drop our bags off go back to the main hotel park in the very last parking spot & walk […] back to the Annex which was only a 10min walk but the Annex was gross! This hotel is perfect for the price point - very clean and spacious. The location is very close to the Vatican, and some great restaurants (which the staff are helpfull to point you in the right direction). The hotel is tucked away on a quiet street, so can be a little hard to find.

The service was superb as was the accommodations. We liked the location for what we wanted to see during our second trip to Rome, and the subway was just around the corner for those areas a little far for walking. Definitely look forward to our next stay.

I stayed at this hotel from 4th - 7th April 2012 and was not impressed. The photos displayed on the website did not match the hotel itself. The rooms were congested and very small, beds were really small and the plaster/ paint on the walls was coming off. The walls were very thin and we were able to hear all the noise from the room next door. Furthermore […] the toilets from the room next door were right next to the bed (through the wall) so we were kept up at night by the sounds of the toilet flushing. We had a great time at this hotel. The staff was outstanding, very friendly and helpful. The only warning that I'd give is that the location is not ideal. While the neighborhood was very nice, it is a bit far from the city center. In any case, I'd go back to it next time I'm in Rome.

Good neighborhood, convenient to metro, shopping, sites. Romes good size with internet, lounge and 24hr concierge service. Breakfast was excellent! One block ot St. John's University if you are a parent with a child in Rome.

Good location, simple but finctional room decorated (I think) nicely - lots of potential but the hotel has not had the upkeep needed to keep it looking fresh. Breakfast included was ok as well. A good place to stay if you get a decent deal on the room rate... and don't mind a frayed edge on the curtains, missing sink plugs, scratches on the wall, chipped […] furniture etc. Having said all that, we enjoyed our 5 night stay in a standard room in the hotel annex - it was a good base to explore Rome from but we didn't spend a lot of time at the hotel except to sleep. One more thing - don't depend on the free wifi to work - unavailable the whole week we were there in the annex - we we told that iPad and iPhones had trouble connecting to their router (really? Positives: Fantastic location, 10 mins from Vatican, we could walk everywhere, but train is very close too. Lively surrounding area for shops, cafes etc. Reasonably priced. Negatives: Room was in a separate building 2 blocks away! Breakfast average - only bothered once in 4 nights. Room had missing wallpaper in places, handle fell off the shower cubicle, […] telephone didn't work the first night and no wi-fi as they were having technical trouble! Two guys running the place - one really friendly and helpful, the other disinterested and a bit 'tetchy'. The pictures on the web make it look better than it actually is. This was a great hotel. Clean, quiet and elegant. I think we actually stayed in the room that was photographed for their website. The staff was very helpful and booked us a great last-minute tour of the Vatican. They also gave great restaurant recommendations. We had a great stay there!

The hotel was very comfortable, with friendly and helpful staff. My only complaint would be how run-down the rooms looked, the paint in mine was scruffy, chipped and cracked in places. However, beyond this aesthetic issue, I would stay here again.

Stayed here for 3 nights in late April. Good location, far enough away from all the tourist stuff but still close to the metro station (very easy to use) and bus stop so its easy to get to the sites. It is very close to Vatican City and the neighborhood is nice. We had two rooms, one they said was deluxe which had a slightly bigger bathroom and english […] channels on the tv. The bathroom in the regular room was small but manageable. The rooms were similar to the picture gallery and decorated nicely and clean. They have local artwork in the hallways which is nice and the lobby on the second floor is nice with couches a tv, table etc. The rooftop terrace looked nice (too cold when we were there to use it) The only issue in the regular room was that the walls were very beat up and need to be repainted. Breakfast was a good selection. The staff ,with the exception of one of the day people, was very nice and helpful, they speak english well. The only downside would be that since the stairway and halls are not carpeted and the stairwell open to the hallways it can be very loud at night with people coming in after you've gone to bed. This was an exceptionally clean and comfortable establishment with comfy beds and crisp clean sheets. The rooms were perfectly big enough and the actual colour of the decor was very pleasing and modern and the food at breakfast was plentiful. However, the walls were in need of a lick of paint with bits flaking off and the location is on the Vatican […] side of the river and takes about 20 minutes to walk to so getting to the tourist attractions on the other side of the river is quite a walk. Beware, they charge you for absolutely everything (mini bar, internet and TV usage) and there's a 2 euro per person per night city charge on top of the cost of your holiday that you have to pay for on departure. Remember this is a guest house and not a hotel; therefore, what we would take for granted such as hot drinks making facilities in our room, a bar for residents and room service is just not available. The roof terrace is up steep steps but there's a vending machine in the basement, which provides hot and cold drinks and chocolates but you then have to take them back to your room, which is either by lift or stairs. I must say this was a pleasant enough place to stay but if you have mobility issues then just getting into the hotel would prove difficult as there is no stair lift etc to get up the steps from the front door. I would recommend this hotel if you need somewhere pleasant, clean and comfortable to stay and just crash after a day of sightseeing. Pročitajte više

We stayed at the Hotel Beldes for a 3 night break in September. We booked a double room - on our arrival we were upgraded to a Delux Double Room at no extra chage. The room wasn't situated within the hotel itself but one block down the road (about a 2 minute walk away in a residential area). The room was really lovely, clean with tea & coffee facilities […] (no milk though). The bathroom was compact with a great shower. The room/bathroom was decorated very tastefully. We also had a lcd tv and safe to use free of charge. We walked back to the hotel each morning for breakfast which was good with plenty of choice, cereal, pastries, fruit, yogurt, bread, cheese and meats. The hotel is in a good location close to the Vatican City which is a 10 minute walk away and the Colosseum about 30-40 minutes away at a leisurely pace. If you plan to visit the Colosseum go to the Forum first and buy your tickets there and once you have seen the Forum you can then walk straight into the Colosseum with your ticket and avoid the long queues. The hotel staff were good when we asked them to recommend a good restaurant for an evening meal. The 3 Quarti Restaurant is well worth a visit which is one block away for good food at a reasonable price. We used the private shuttle service provided by the hotel from/to the airport. Our room looked exactly like it did on the website... it was boutique, it was VERY clean, well furnished and was comfortable. BUT the walls were extremely damaged (VERY DAMAGED -- I have never seen that before). so thats was a little weird. The owners are very nice, they have a nice terrace. The hotel is in a residential neighbourhood so a little out […] of the center... but it means its quiet and we really did not mind the walk. The neighbourhood is quite fun, lots of services, restaurants and shops nearby and great for vatican sightseeing.. took us about 15 minutes to get to the center. We really did not mind. Rome is quite noisy so it was nice to have quiet time. The only other drawback aside from the damaged walls was the evening reception gentleman (older man of asian decent) -- he was not courteous nor helpful. Everyone else was great and attentive to us. This is a quaint hotel surrounded by lots of restaurants and shopping. The Vatican is in close proximity but not recommended in the summer as it is too hot for the long walk (approx. 8 blocks). But farther away from the Colosseum / central station - taxi fare from the central train station was 30 Euro, so try to take the metro. We really enjoyed our stay at the Beldes Hotel in Rome. It is a charming little hotel on a quiet street in Rome. The staff is wonderful and extremely helpful. They were willing to help in any way that they could and this made our stay in Rome memorable. They immediately tried to accomodate us with and early check in, giving us the first available room […] of the morning, offered us coffee and drinks upon arrival in the charming breakfast area. You felt secure to ask questions about where to go, what do do in Rome. They gave great ideas about where to go out, dine, tour. They helped book a wonderful day excursion to the isle of Capri and even gave us an early breakfast when we had to depart at 6:45am. We stayed at a hotel in the center of town the last night and were extremely disapointed. It was very noisy, the staff weren't helpful and accomodating. We agreed that we missed the Beldes and our friends there! It is a 10 minute walk to the Vatican and 15 minutes to the charming Piazza Navona and city center across the river. You can take the hop on hop off bus for 15 Euro a day and that drops you off five minutes from the hotel. The rooms were affordable, immaculate and clean. The beds were extremely comfortable. The bathrooms were very large. We highly recommend the Beldes and will definitely use this as our home base in Rome! Pročitajte više
