paid for a suite, got the handicap room. was a little strange

My husband and I spent one night there after a day in College Station. The room was basic, but larger than normal with a small frig and a microwave. The bed was more firm that we are used to, but we were still able to get a good nights sleep. The room was very clean and with the fan on low during the night, very quiet. The room had one of the best sleeping beds I have ever slept on. I slept like a baby.

This was a nice hotel to stay at. Clean and management was very accommodating. Will stay there again.

The room itself was ok for what we needed. We were just there for one night before a bicycling event. At the last minute, I had a friend decide to come with me so when I got there, I asked for a room with double beds. It got kind of sketchy then. At first, they were going to charge me an additional $40 for the extra bed. I couldn't really understand […] the doubling in price because the hotel was DEFINITELY not crowded. When I couldn't get a satisfactory explanation (English was not the first language spoken here), I gave in and was going to pay the extra. I handed the clerk my credit card and was then told if I would go to the store next door and get cash, they'd give it to me for $30. I did this and got checked in. The hotel was quiet enough and as I said earlier, the room was ok. If you're just passing through and need a place to crash, it's what you're looking for. From the bed to the tv and taped up remote everything was old and pretty disgusting. Went by reviews and thought it wouldn't,t be to bad. It was very disappointing especially for what we paid.

This is one of the cleanest hotels we have EVER stayed at. The bed was very comfortable. The staff was friendly and accomodating. We would definitely stay at this ABV again! And is close enough to the highway for easy access to/from the hotel, but far enough away that we had a quiet and restful sleep without hearing passing autos.

For an inexpensive hotel, I was pleasantly surprised at the comfort, cleanliness, and recently updated decor. The staff was very helpful. It was nice to find WiFi in the room itself, not just in the office. The only improvement I would like to see is fluffier towels.

For the money, can't beat it. There were a few minor problems but nothing to major ( the shower knob was loose but worked fine). Friendly staff.

A lot of weekly workers spending the night there.. was very noisy because of the everyone staying up so late. Nothing else to choose from in the area. Was there for a funeral. So I had no other choice.

they pillaged me for 17.00 at ck in to downgrade from a king to two fulls.. demanded cash !!! i am sure that they reallyreported that..

A nice, clean, basic hotel. Excellent location- just off the highway, with several food options within walking distance. The Front Desk staff was very helpful and friendly.

I took a chance on this place because of other reviews I had read. I was not disappointed. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the manager was pleasant and I couldn't beat the price. As a female traveling alone, I felt very safe. I would recommend this hotel to anyone (as a matter of fact, I already have).

It was good for what you paid for. If you just need a place to sleep, it will do. The beds were really hard, but since I like a hard bed, I slept well. Someone who likes a softer bed will not like them. It is by the highway, so there is some highway noise, but in the room, it's more of a soft white noise. We just stayed one night - checking in late and leaving early, so all we needed was a place to crash for the night and it met our needs. While my husband and I stayed here to be close to the Texas Ren Fest it was a very nice hotel. Not too much food wise in the area except a few fast food joints and a gas station but it was perfect for us for the night. We LOVED the size of the bed in our room and the shower was great too! :)

Room was fine and nice place for the price, but the personnell did not seem very cheerful or smile. Some dirty ice came out of the ice dispenser. It is right off the highway.

The hotel was very comfortable, clean and convenient. The attendant was pleasant. The continental breakfast area was very small but we only needed a room close to Prairie View A&M University.

For the price and as it is not a major chain I was not optimistic about cleanliness but it was very clean and in fairly good shape. Stayed three nights. Surroundings kind of barren but three convenient fast food restaurants. Would stay again no hesitation. Friendly staff.

Quiet and relaxing

Clean and confortable for the business traveler

I was both impressed and surprised with how clean and new everything was during our stay; and the microwave and mini fridge was an added plus. It was very convient for me and my son during registration at Praire View A.M.University.I certainly can see myself returning during the Homecoming Game and other special events at the college.

I got there pretty late, it was about 1am and they didnt have the standard room I booked so they upgraded me to their suite, which was very spacious. The air conditioner blew ice cubes and the property was clean and right next door to Sonic and across from Mc Donalds.
